Romance, bottled.

A rich and resin filled fragrance that conveys the emotions felt when truly in love. With a touch of citrus and deep resins, and osmanthus blossom absolute which provides a light apricot top note, a bit like having butterflies in your stomach; this perfume encompasses that powerful rush of emotion that we call love. Mark created 1000 Kisses Deep in honour of the lasting love he shares with his wife. Love is so hard to describe in words, so he made a perfume to express his feelings.

Features

  • 1000 kisses deep: Named after Madeleine Peyroux’s rendition of the Leonard Cohen song.
  • Fresh and floral: Osmanthus fragrance is a shrub native to the Himalayas. Its small, white flowers produce a beautiful floral absolute that has green and fruity nuances.
  • Main notes: Mandarin, osmanthus, labdanum, myrrh and musk.

So, I bought 100 Kisses Deep because I'm a sucker for a good story- and the story behind this scent was so lovely. Unfortunately, it smells anything but lovely on me. Since I never waste anything, I decided to spray it on my pillows and bed sheets. There, it smells absolutely intoxicating and is a wonderful smell to fall asleep to. I think I now may understand how Dorothy and Toto and all felt in that sweet, sleepy, enchanted poppy field. So, a happy accident. If florals smell good on you, try it. If you end up smelling like my pillows, you'll be very happy!

I hate to be the one person who doesn't like this. I really do. If I could even manage to say something good, I would. But this smells like straight rubber. Rubber inside a new toy or pool floatie. And it doesn't fade into anything else, either. I love pretty much every other Lush perfume, so I'm sad that this smells so bad. I tried it on my boyfriend's skin, thinking it was my skin reacting with it. Not so. He smelled a lot of my samples and would say Mmm or Flowery or Oooh what's that? When he smelled this one, his response was simply... No. I recommend trying any of Lush's other perfumes before this one!

This wasn't my initial favorite of the sampler pack I bought a few months back; at first, I was like, "Great, Lush made *another* citrus perfume, go figure."
Little did I know I was about to discover the best citrus perfume I'd ever experienced (that wasn't grapefruit-based)! What started out as an almost orange-vitamin smell evolved into this incredibly sweet, intoxicating, complex serenade of a scent. The myrrh adds this haunting incense note to the blend that heightens the otherwise ordinary orange base; the labdanum resins increase this with smoky-sweet amber notes. On me, the labdanum and myrrh become incredibly spicy as well. I wore this a few times---mind you, it was a sample, so it wasn't sprayed on---but somehow, my cardigan picked up the scent. It still smells like it after I've washed it three or four times! On me, it'll last an easy day or two in between showers. Absolutely delectable, and easily up there on my top 5 favorite Lush scents---probably around #2 or #3.
Although I would recommend this to a friend, it would only be to those out of state or dearly beloved. It's not a signature scent if everyone smells like it, right? ;)

I use 1000 kisses just about every day. It is probably my favorite Gorilla Perfume. To me it smells like sweet sugary candy. Not like snow fairy or rockstar sweet. A much more subtle, more sophisticated sweet.

I got 1000 kisses deep in a Valentines day package, and while I loved everything in it, this perfume was my favorite. It smells so sweet. I compare it to sweet tarts or something else delicious. I'd also say it smells "juicy". It's very nice. Won't give people a headache, even if you douse yourself in it.

1000 Kisses is a light floral that almost immediately mellows into a deeper, more complex scent that is still strongly reminiscent of an antique bouquet.

For me (and maybe it's just my body chemistry), the scent doesn't last nearly as long as I think it should. Within 90 minutes the scent is gone. Pairing with Flying Fox seems to help make it last longer as it seems they share similar floral notes. They play very well together.

By itself, it's too light for my tastes, as I prefer woods and spice with a hint of floral. However, when layered with Dear John, it is by far my favorite scent I've had the privilege to smell. They play so well together that I am imploring Lush to fashion a fragrance that combines the best of both worlds. A 1000 Kisses for Dear John. Oh yeah. When paired together, the scent is just perfect-- a great blending of spicy floral and mellow woods with a resinous undertone. It lingers longer and I spend more time than I should huffing my wrists throughout the day.

If I buy 1000 Kisses again, it will be with Dear John so I can craft my own scented perfection.

I went on a bit of a Gorilla Perfume spree, buying this and five others with it. This however is my absolute favorite of the bunch. It's beyond sweet and pretty--I mean, it is those things too, but it's so much more. It's sweet and pretty and deep and haunting and eternal. It's the kind of perfume that people will still be wearing a hundred years from now. I only bought the smallest size, but my next order will be for the largest bottle. I want to never be without this perfume.

                I love it.

I am not too great at describing smells, but I will say 1000 kisses is light and airy, with maybe an undertone of that Charity Pot smell. Not overly sweet. I just love it. It's unusual. It's not one note like some of the other perfumes. It's my new favorite and a smell no one can figure out on me, but one everyone loves and is not overwhelmed by (like when I wear Lust, haha). Thank you for a great perfume!

I love Leonard Cohen and I love the romantic name of this perfume. I did expect it to have more of a passionate smell; instead, it has a gentle, calming, steady smell that, sadly, does not last long. It reminds me of being rocked to sleep, to a sleep with pretty dreams. It's a good scent to wear for close contact because it is not overwhelming. Very pretty perfume.
