I picked up the small bottle of this when I was at LUSH picking something else up. I'm lazy in the evenings and I hate to wash my makeup off my face, despite it being a necessary step. Some nights (especially after I go out) I just use a cleansing pad, but I feel like those don't get my face as clean AND they often dry out before I use all the cloths.

When I'm using this, I use eye makeup remover first. Then I turn on the faucet for some warm/hot water and throw a washcloth in the sink. While it soaks with hottish water, I smooth a bit of this all over my face (eyes included) and then pick up the now soaking wash cloth and use it to wipe my face off. And it all comes off, right onto the washcloth! If I am feeling less lazy I do a quick wash with a mild cleanser afterwards just to be sure, but sometimes I am even too lazy for that so I just use this and my face is still clean. When I tone, I do get a bit of residue - but no more than I do when I use my regular cleanser.

So I love this and will be returning to get the big bottle when the little one runs out!

I am a chef, which in skin terms translates to lot of dirt, oil, and even the occasional grease burn on my face. Soap cleaners, while great at removing oil and dirty stuff, would leave my face SUPER dry and unhappy, especially after a 12 hour day over stoves and grills. This cleanser is gentle as all get-out, but actually cleans off all the gunk. It is (combined with Tea Tree Water to swipe up the rest of the yuck and Celestial to calm down the whole operation) is the best thing my sensitive lil face has encountered. If you work in harsh conditions, this is gonna be what ya need. It took a while to get used to the "no soap, no bubbles" cleaning, but once I did, HOOKED.

I bought all of my new Lush products while I was on a trip and I didn't start using it until I got home but I haven't stopped using the cleanser since I opened the bottle. I have been using it for about two weeks now and I saw a difference after not even 5 days. My face feels amazing and clean after I get out of the shower. I have combination skin and I haven't had any issues with it throughout the day. I would recommend this to anyone!

I do a LOT of experimenting with skincare products. I have tricky combination skin. I'll get breakouts on my chin, upper lip, and forehead, and a SERIOUSLY shiny nose, but dry, flaky, patchy skin elsewhere. I also have a touch of rosacea. A lot of products felt good when I was putting them on my skin, but didn't really help with any of it.

I started using 9-to-5 regularly about six weeks ago (along with the Tea Tree Water toner and the Imperialis moisturizer) and my skin has never been happier. I've stopped breaking out, my skin hasn't been getting patchy or flaky, and even my overall skintone has improved.

The only downside isn't as much a con as it is a "Well, geez. Can't it do EVERYTHING?" complaint, and that's that this doesn't exfoliate. I need to find a good product to exfoliate with, since I'm finding that I'm somewhat more prone to small, subtle blackheads. They're easy to get rid of and almost invisible, but I know they're there.

Anyway. I don't always use a quarter-sized amount, especially if I'm not wearing any makeup. If I am, I use more. I massage it into my skin pretty well, then wipe off the excess with those round cotton pads you can get at the store. It takes about 3 before I feel comfortable. It leaves behind a very slight greasy feel, but the tea tree water toner takes care of that. Then I use just a touch of the Imperialis moisturizer all over, and sometimes just a bit more on my dry areas.

All in all, I haven't seen a pimple in a month. (Thank goodness. I was tired of being a late-twentysomething with acne!) My skin feels way better, though sometimes I feel just a tiny bit greasy. (I usually solve that by throwing a layer of translucent powder on under my foundation, which is also a powder.) and I'm so glad I found the winning combination!

I really like this but I use it a little differently than directed. I usually put it all over my face and then really wash it off with warm water and a washcloth. It does sort of smear eyemakup around, but with a good scrub of the washcloth it takes care of it. I tend to have slightly oily skin so I don't think it would do me favors to just wipe it off with a cotton ball. Love the smell and this approach works well for me :)

As someone who has sensitive, red skin, but wears lots of makeup daily, I need good cleansers and makeup removers. I started using Aqua Marina as my facial cleanser, but felt it wasn't getting my eye makeup off enough. This helped in ways I can't explain. I get two round cotton pads and wet them, and then apply 9 to 5 to them and place them on my eyes for 30 seconds to a minute, then gently just rub around to get any stubborn eye makeup off. THIS WORKS beautifully. I then wash my entire face wit Aqua Marina, apply Breath of Fresh Air as my toner, and finally Cosmetic Lad as my moisturizer. My face has never looked better, and it smells AMAZING. I have no irritation for basically the first time in my life, and my skin actually feels clean when I go to bed. Perfect product, hands down.

I am one of those gals who hates to wash her face at night with water... so I LOVE this product because I can just wipe it off with a cotton ball, and all my makeup comes off with it!!! I was amazed at how it powered through my mascara and left my skin super soft. This is my new nightstand staple! No more make-up stained pillowcases for me!

Love this product! I think I used something like it about 25 years ago at "another store"? Very gentle, cleans my face without drying it out. I do not feel the need to wash with something else after. No breakouts either. Does it take off all my mascara? Nope. But that's okay, because this is the best cleanser, and I'm glad it's back. Works great when used with Celestial as a moisturizer. I have super dry skin, but have occasional breakouts, and this stuff just rocks. Please, don't every get rid of it!

It did have a lovely smell and felt great going on the skin. But it was a pain to tissue off. I thought it would be sort of like using face wipes-just out it on, then easily wipe off. It did not leave a greasy feel, but my skin just did not feel clean afterward. Also, after a few days I began breaking out terribly. I quit using it for a week to see if it was the product, and when I began using it again, the same breakouts resulted. I love lush products--but give this one a miss.

I use this almost daily to remove my makeup. I have a hard time getting off my mascara and this product seems to help a little more than just washing my face. I like that it's moisturizing but wish it was just a tad bit stronger as a cleanser.

Last weekend i bought this on a whim, i had heard it was great as a makeup remover and i had yet to find a good one so i picked up the 3.4 oz bottle.

What i like about it: It makes my face feel amazing after i use it! It's great for taking off face makeup!

What i don't like about it: It's horrible at taking eye makeup off!Even after using a decent amount on my eyes and rubbing with a cotton pad, it just smeared the makeup around.

Overall, i love it for my face, not so much with my eyes.

I love this cleanser! I used a similar cleanser from a big name brand and liked it but it tended to dry out my skin and leave it tight, not to mention I couldn't pronouce one ingredient in it! Then I found this and it was heaven! It's like using that same big name cleanser but without the drying, irritation and all those chemicals! I also am on a prescription acne med. so I needed this to be very gentle and non-breakouty and let me tell you it pulled through! Never going back to another cleanser! As for the make up removing aspect, I do not use any make up so I have nothing to say on that feature.

I have the world's most sensitive dry skin. I get allergic reactions to products all the time but 9 to 5 has been a real life saver! It is so gentle that it could be used on a baby yet it takes off makeup amazingly. I wash my face with this morning and night and follow up with a dab of celestial moisturizer. Also, love that it's a liquid unlike some of LUSH's other products!

(Other than extreme dryness and sensitivity I have never had any skin issues such as break outs or acne - so I cannot vouch for anyone who has!)

This product is simply, amazing. I loved how it made my skin feel just trying it in the store. I needed something to help reduce my break outs when I would forget to take off my makeup before going to bed. Those "9 to 5" days can be brutal and can make you ridiculously tired. This product offers a quick way to end your day on a high note and also gives your skin that extra "oomph" that it needs. Love, love, love this product!

I use this to remove my makeup before my shower, also I use it in the morning before I put on my makeup. I use it with cotton balls, so after I put it on my face, let it sit for maybe a minute, then wipe it off with a cotton ball, or damp wash cloth. The smell is awesome, one of my favorite smells from Lush, hands down. I wish they had soap that smells like this! But after I use this to take off my makeup, I use Angels on Bare Skin while in the shower, as a cleanser/exfoliant. This combination is very light, and doesn't break out my face at all. I have very sensitive skin, and was worried about the oils in this, but they have done nothing but good so far!

This is my new favorite cleanser! Here is the way I use it: I apply a small amount to my face including the eye area and massage it in a circular motion. I then remove it with a cotton ball. No rinsing necessary. It removes all the makeup and yet it's very gentle. It leaves my skin feeling really nice and moisturized but NOT oily at all.

I love this product! Im a little confused of how to use it? It seems un-hygeinic to just wipe it off with a cotton ball. So what I do it I use it as a makeup remover, I smear it on my eyes and face, give my face a good 'massage' then i just wash it off with water and my makeup is gone. I then follow up with a exfoliator/cleanser (herbalism atm.) and it works perfectly! It doesnt seem to break me out, but it doesnt help with my acne at all, I just use it to get rid of all my makeup.

I bought this product a few days ago as my first Lush product. I was amazed when I used it to wash my face before bed after already having washed my face in the morning and putting NO makeup on, when I wiped it off with a cotton pad, it was brown! Proof that it cleaned everything well! My only problem, is I have dry skin (and I was recommended this product) and I haven't seen a significant improvement... yet! It is great though, and because of this, I plan on ordering a few more Lush products (since the nearest store is 2 hours away). VERY pleased!

My skin is really sensitive to products and I actually don't wash my face with anything but water. Whenever I use a product my face gets all red and can break out. I have been in search of a face product that will clean my face because water only does so much. When I told this to the Lush associate she recommended 9 to 5 and gave me a sample. It has been a week and so far so good! My face did not break out and after I use it, it does get a little red but for the most part clears right up after a minute. I do see tiniest traces of red here and there, which is why I give it a 4, but I know that this is only noticeable to me (it's that faint).

Hands down, this is the best beauty product I've ever owned. I am terrible about removing makeup/skincare in general, but 9 to 5 makes it extremely easy and it's the only skincare regimine I can follow on a 100% daily basis. I've found that it's a 2 in 1 moisturizer/skin cleanser and leaves my skin feeling fabulous and bright. I have very sensitive acne-prone skin and can't imagine my life without this product. A must must have! If you're on the fence, I really reccomend it. I started with a trial size after it was recommended in store, and had to go back for the large version immediately. It lasts a very long time too!
