Wet your face and apply a generous amount of shaving cream to your beard. For best results, let the shaving cream sink into your skin for 3-5 minutes before you begin to shave. Shave the desired area and rinse the razor frequently under hot water to eliminate excess cream and stubble. Minimize razor burn and guarantee smooth skin, finish off with a facial moisturizer.
Razor burn be gone!
Ambrosia is our shaving cream for sensitive faces; those poor souls who suffer from razor burn, ingrown hairs and itchiness. Mark (LUSH co-founder and product inventor) used the gentlest ingredients he could find for Ambrosia, like oat milk and linseed to protect the skin during shaving, cocoa butter to soften and calming chamomile extract to soothe. Apply liberally before shaving for a smooth, irritation-free face.
- If your bristles are not so bristly: This lightweight cream is definitely the most suitable for you.
- “Food of the Gods”: We call this shaving cream Ambrosia because it's a nutritious nectar for your skin.
- It’s the bees knees: Ambrosia contains soothing honey to help the skin retain its moisture.

Q:I am a girl and my skin is very sensitive and itchy. Can I use this to shave my hands, legs and underarms?Asked on 3/15/2015 by akku from rochester
A:Absolutely! We put the most soothing ingredients like oat milk, linseed, and chamomile into Ambrosia for those who have sensitive skin but still want to be silky smooth!Answered on 3/20/2015 by Meg from LUSH Direct
A:Hi there, akku. I have used Ambrosia for a while now to help reduce
inflammation from shaving. I suffer from Hydradenitis Supporativa, which is
a literal and figurative pain in my butt and legs, and makes shaving a
major cause of flare-ups. It helps keep the area moisturized so that it
doesn't get irritated. A little bit can go a long way if you are careful,
which makes the price less of an issue for me personally. I also find the
Buffy bar to be really helpful.Answered on 3/15/2015 by Anonymous
Q:Can this be used on body parts other than the face? Will it help prevent ingrown hairs on armpits for example??Asked on 3/13/2015 by okay
A:Since Ambrosia is our most gentle shaving cream blend, it would be fine to use on other parts of your body!Answered on 3/20/2015 by Meg from LUSH Direct
I buy this for my husband to use on his face and I have never used it on my
armpits. BUT I will tell you that he has far fewer ingrown hairs and
irritated skin that he used to when he used regular, commercial shaving
cream products. I would give it a try. Actually I'm going to give it a
try on my bikini area and see how it goes. Good luck!Answered on 3/14/2015 by Anonymous
Q:How do you use it? Do you have to use a razor or anything?Asked on 8/20/2012 by gina the jelly bean from avonmore,pa
A:Our shaving creams do need to be used with a razor, and they can be used like any regular shaving cream. You will find they don't lather, so it will feel a bit like you're just putting on lotion, but don't worry- they'll help get you a silky smooth shave!Answered on 8/28/2012 by Megan from LUSH Direct
