AC is interesting. It's one of the products that I believe represents LUSH. It smells nice, albeit interesting, works just effectively enough for me not to wallow in guilt about the price, has a much more pleasant ingredient list than standard drugstore conditioners, and is more of a long-term lifestyle purchase.

AC will dazzle you with the smell of, I guess, strawberries. I don't know what it smells like, but whatever it is, it smells like LUSH but fruity and sweeter (not like candy, more like a floral or vanilla or HONEY. yes, honey). So strawberries and cream. That sounds about right. Then, you'll notice how your hair won't be coated in plastic like with drugstore conditioner, but with instead be lightly perfumed, shiny (I use with Big shampoo), and soft. This is LUSH luxury at some of its finest.

I believe luxury comes in the small things. Being able to pay for this conditioner is a luxury. Feeling the natural oils and creamy whipped concoction coat your hair is a luxury. Rinsing out the conditioner and working her fingers through slippery knots at the ends of your lightly perfumed hair is a luxury. I love LUSH and I love American Cream conditioner.

I have a very oily scalp so its hard for me to find a conditioner that make my hair light yet still moisturized.
This conditioner is great. I got a sample of it and after one wash at night I woke up the next day with my hair very light and moveable. The smell is so freakin good! I wouldn't say it smells like strawberries like the description says, but more of a floral clean fresh smell. The best thing about this is that the smell literally lasts all day. There has never been a conditioner that I used that has the smell last all day. I find myself sniffing my hair throughout the day.
It never made my hair feel greasy and though it is expensive, I would definitely invest in this fabulous conditioner.
Sounds too good to be true?
Go to your local lush shop and request a sample, you'd know what I mean.

I was actually not intending to buy this conditioner to incorporate into my hair regimin, but the salesperson did a demon on my arm that made me fall in love with its texture and smell. I previously bought Big shampoo and needed a conditioner that would continue to moisturize my hair after using it. American Cream worked perfectly and the two scents really complimented each other.

This product smells great and the scent stays for a long time. I doesn't smell too sticky sweet. It made my hair soft, bouncy, and all around awesome. I went to work and my boss asked me if I got a haircut! That's how great it worked on me.

I love this conditioner for daily use! It's gentle enough and smells AMAZING! The smell lasts all day long and I always catch myself smelling my hair. A little goes a long way in the shower so don't over do it! My hair feels so much healthier after using this along with Blousey Shampoo. It is very light though so it might be good to incorporate a deep conditioner once or twice a month.

First off, this product smells great and the smell lasts all day. Unfortunatly, this product actually dried my hair out more. My hair felt like straw. I used it for a week to see if maybe it would take some time to be effective but my hair just got more and more dry. I regret buying this product as it was so exspensive. I don't recomend this product.

I picked up this product at the lush store because when I smelled it I instantly fell in love with the strawberry vanilla fragrance !. My friend was with me when I purchased it and she smelled it and loved the smell also. She did not purchase one for herself because this product is not completely vegan. She ended getting something else.

First thing I have to say it was NOT the moisturizing enough. I like really thick conditioners so this just wasn't for me. But I have to say the smell lasted all day and into the next. I was amazed how long lasting.

I recieved a sample of this at Lush because I was wanting to try it from hearing good reviews on youtube and from hearing an employee tell me that it is a double strength conditioner so it should help hair.

After trying just the small sample size when rinsing it out my hair felt really soft and after letting it air dry my hair was EXTREMELY SHINY! Not to mention very soft to the touch and pretty moisturized.

I recomend it for all hair types but I have dry hair and it worked great! And you don't need to use that much

I only bought the small size of this product and now I'M really glad i didn't splurge for the big one.

This product has a very very overwhelming smell, that in my opinion does not really resemble Vanilla or Strawberries. It smells okay coming out of the bottle and going on to your head but after your hair dries it gets extremely strong. This scent also lasts for a very long time and it eventually started giving me a headache. In the end I had to rewash my hair.

The product itself was decent for the time I had it on but I really couldn't stand it long enough to really be sure.

If you're a fan of very strong scents this is for you but if you (like me) are looking for a lighter, fruiter smell look elsewhere.

For a reference point I would equate it to being like "Rockstar" but a bit stronger.

I used this product today for the first time after I used the Hair Doctor. I used it with Trichomania as well. This conditioner made my hair smell SOOO GOOD! I showered 2 hours ago and my hair still smells like a dream. It's so soft and shiny too! Love it!

I had just got to Lush and was pumped. I went straight to American Cream and bought it. Once I used it it was too light, but it smelt amazing. I got out and i couldnt remove any tangles. Now I mix it with anther conditioner and I love it. But its not for thick hair like mine. Only good thing about it for me is that I wash my hair every other day and the smell stays until I wash it again.

This conditioner is incredible! My hair is very thick and can be very oily. I have always had problems with conditioners leaving an oil residue and not actually conditioning my hair. I rub this in my ends and let it sit for a minute or two after using Big Shampoo and my hair is softer and shinier than ever before... besides the fact that the smell stays in my hair all day and it is WONDERFUL. I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH!

My hair is chemically lightened, very long, and wavy. I need a lot of conditioning, softening and defrizzing. This conditioner helped a lot with that in conjunction with Godiva. I think my hair could use even more conditioning though. This could be a good thing though because my hair stays light and grease free despite the fact I only like to wash it 2-3 times a week. To be honest, I'm not ready to make a commitment to American Cream. I think I will be trying some other lush products to find a better fit or perhaps I just need to add a good hair treatment as well. Keep in mind that different products meet different hair care needs. Just because a product doesn't work for your hair doesn't mean it won't work for your and vis versa.

As mentioned before in other reviews, I was not very happy to find out Lush's shampoo and conditioners have sulfates in them. Perhaps the sulfate controversy is just hype.

This conditioner is awesome and smells fantastic (I pair this with Fair Trade Honey Shampoo). It makes my hair soft and shiny without overconditioning. Its not as thick as other ones I've used, and at first seemed a bit light. After one use I realized I probably didn't need as much conditioning as I was using before. My thick hair has never looked better!

I'm used to commercial shampoos and conditioners, the kind that are loaded with sulfates and chemicals and while they do make my hair soft and shiny, I can help but feel like, somewhere down the line, I'm contributing to the testing on animals, or damaging the ecosystem. That being said, I wanted to try something a little friendlier. The associate at the store recommended American Cream. I like the smell, though it doesn't linger in my hair -- this is neither here nor there for me; it's not really a deal breaker. I didn't want to use a lot of it as it's not cheap, but even the small amount I did use, worked. My hair wasn't as untangled as it had been before, but I suspect that's because AC doesn't have all the same chemicals. Once I brushed it out and dried it, I can't stop touching it. It's smooth and soft and straight. I really do recommend it.

I didn't like this product at all. It was too thick, it made my hair feel sticky in the shower, and I couldn't get it to untangle. I'm disappointed, because I really wanted to like it. I think the only redeeming quality of this conditioner was the smell; it smelled so good, and lasted for days.

I've tried very hard to like this product because I absolutely love Lush. I've heard many people rave about this product so I decided to give it a go.
The product smells amazing in the bottle, but after I washed away the conditioner from my hair, I could hardly smell anything. It was a disappointment because I bought this product mainly because of it's smell as my anti-dandruff shampoo smells horrible (it smells like toothpaste).
Next the conditioner was not conditioning. I initially thought it was because my shampoo was extremely drying. Since I love Lush so much, I decided to change my shampoo to another conditioning shampoo(which has a nice subtle smell) instead of changing my conditioner. My hair continued to feel unconditioned and I have to say I was heart-broken. My old conditioner which was $5 for 200ml worked a lot better.
I cannot say you should not even think of buying this product because I have long thick, wavy-straight Indian hair. It may work on finer hair. Unfortunately for me, I would not be repurchasing this.
