Q:Can I use this cleanser everyday , both morning and evening ?Asked on 4/9/2014 by philosophy from San Diego , CA
A:Angels on Bare Skin is gentle enough to use twice a day, so if it is working for your skin feel free to use it morning and night!Answered on 4/11/2014 by Anonymous
Q:I have oily combination skin...dry in the cheeks, oily everywhere else. In the summer, which is coming up soon, it can get EXTREMELY oily...should I use this cleanser rather than Herbalism or Dark Angels? I have pretty frequent breakouts and occasional redness...so far it has been pretty nice on my skin, as I got a small pot of it, but I'm not sure if a cleanser made for oily skin would be better. I follow up with Breath of Fresh Air (now I'm thinking I should have bought the Tea Tree Toner instead, somehow the salesperson talked me into buying BoFA instead because I said I had combination skin?) and Imperialis moisturizer. I use Grease Lightning on any zits. Anyway, I would like to know how this cleanser works on acne-prone, oily/combination skin.Asked on 2/23/2014 by Bethany :) from Raleigh, NC
A:Angels on Bare Skin is a really nice, gentle cleanser. If you're face gets oilier in the summer and you're already acne-prone, I might switch to Herbalism more regularly as it works really hard to reduce the amount of oil by regulating oil production. Breath of Fresh Air would still be a good toner choice as Tea Tree Water might be too drying if you have combination skin.Answered on 3/21/2014 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:might i recommend mask of magnanimity, apply twice a week then follow through with angels on bare skin every other day. hope this helpsAnswered on 3/15/2014 by Cupcake from Miami, FL
Q:Does this product help remove acne scars and prevent future breakouts?Asked on 1/16/2014 by Skin-Crazed Sara from Phoenix, AZ
A:This cleanser will definitely help prevent future breakouts. The exfoliating properties of it will help a bit with your acne scars, but more effective products will contain fruit juices to brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of your scars.Answered on 3/8/2014 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
Q:Is it okay to use this product both in the morning and night?Asked on 1/5/2014 by Ariana
A:Angels on Bare Skin is definitely gentle enough to use both morning and night so please feel free to do so!Answered on 3/14/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:I mainly use Angels on Bare Skin in the morning, but occasionally use it twice a day without any issues. I love this product and see no reason it can't be used twice a day. It does not dry out my skin or make it oily. It is great for me! (I have dry skin and use oil free products)Answered on 1/6/2014 by Anonymous
A:Yes! I use this product as often as I want. It cleans your face without leaving it feeling dry.

A:Yes!! It's very gentle and not at all drying. Use as much as you have need of. I've been using it for years.

Q:Will this cleanser get rid of zits/bumps, or does it only prevent future zits from happening?Asked on 12/8/2013 by Kingsley
A:This facial cleanser is designed to help minimize and heal existing blemishes as well as prevent future ones from forming.Answered on 2/26/2014 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:I would say both. Well for me at least. I love this product so much! It was my first LUSH product. And I have to say it really does help with acne. I started using Herbalism and I though since I love both of these products and they're helping with acne, imagine both of them working together. So I mixed them both together and it really does help. But it also depends on what skin type you have. I have combination to dry skin and after I wash my face with Angels, I feel like I don't need lotion anymore. But I still do, I use Aveeno and this combo is amazing.Answered on 1/19/2014 by BrendaBabyface from Orange County
A:It helps to soothe irritated skin and clear breakouts for me.Answered on 12/8/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Can this help with acne? I know that it takes 3 weeks for skin to adjust to a new product. I have combination skin. My acne isn't so bad. I have small acne on my cheeks and Ive tried a lot of things to get rid of it but it won't leave. Any suggestions? Thanks!Asked on 10/6/2013 by BrendaBabyface
A:I've got to tell you, I've learned the trick with this product is to use it with the tea tree water. Angels on bare skin cleans your skin, then the tea tree water (which is an natural antiseptic) helps to heal the existing cuts or pimples. 2/3 of my face was covered in acne, and the existing pimples have disappeared, the open cuts have healed literally overnight, and I have not had any further pimples pop up. I've been using this product for 3 days!Answered on 1/6/2014 by Sarah the skin nut from Harrisonburg, VA
A:Angels on Bare Skin is a great choice for combination skin because of the ingredients it contains. The kaolin clay base deep cleanses while ground almonds gently exfoliate the dead skin away. Rose and lavender are added to soothe and help balance out combination skin.
Another product I would recommend is Grease Lightning Facial Cleanser. Our super effective spot-cleansing gel is effective for getting your skin back to normal. A gentle infusion of thyme, tea tree and rosemary cleans up problematic dirt and soothing aloe vera gel calms and hydrates irritated skin.Answered on 11/15/2013 by Lydia
A:I have dealt with acne all my life (I'm nearing 30). Angels and Bare Skin and Herbal is the only cleanser that really seems to help. I still have acne, but the difference is dramatically improved. I know it sounds silly, but after I started using this, I did have several friends comment on the improved condition of my complexion. Hope this helps! :)Answered on 10/8/2013 by Anonymous
A:I personally adore Angels on Bare Skin for my "light" acne :). I also use Fresh Farmacy, Vanishing Cream, Tea Tree Water and Mask of Magnaminty in my regular routine: my skin has never felt or looked better!! Good luck!

Q:Is this cleanser supposed to be really "crumbly"? I find it really difficult to get it out of the container and make it into a paste because it just crumbles in my hands. Is this typical, or is it just an off batch?Asked on 7/2/2013 by Anonymous
A:Angels on Bare Skin is typically a bit crumbly straight out of the jar, but once you add a bit of water it should become more workable!Answered on 10/4/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
A:Mine is pretty crumbly too, so I don't think it's the batch. What I do is pinch off a little bit of the cleanser and instead of trying to turn it into a paste (this never works for me either, it just gets everywhere) I rub the soap straight onto my wet face. I roll the cleanser into a little ball first so it doesn't get all over my hands, and I find this works really well.Answered on 7/5/2013 by Katie from USA
Q:does this product have to be refrigerated?Asked on 2/1/2013 by Dana from USA
A:Angels on Bare Skin does not have to be refrigerated- Just make sure to keep it in a dry, room temperature environment.Answered on 3/8/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Would this product help treat blackheads and enlarged pores?Asked on 11/20/2012 by Carrie
A:Angels on Bare Skin is a great place to start. The kaolin clay reaches deep into pores to clean out the dirt that causes blackheads, and the ground almonds exfoliate to remove the build up that can also block pores. Following up with our Tea Tree Toner would be a great idea as it specifically targets blackheads, and Grease Lightning and Vanishing Cream contain Witch Hazel, which works to shrink enlarged pores.Answered on 11/22/2012 by Anonymous
Q:can i use this everyday? can it dry my skin because it is an exfoliater?Asked on 10/11/2012 by thu
A:You can definitely use this everyday. It is formulated for combination skin, so if this is your skin type, the ground almonds will work as a gentle exfoliatant and will not be too harsh. Plus, the powerful rose/lavender combo will leave your skin soothed and soft.Answered on 10/30/2012 by Anonymous
A:Angels on Bare Skin is quite gentle and soothing, so it would be suitable for most skin types as a daily cleanser. It doesn't contain any harsh lathering ingredients, and instead uses clays and balancing herbs such as lavender to gently cleanse the skinAnswered on 11/1/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:I have some dry skin, and this was fine with using the product every day once a day. Love it!Answered on 1/1/2013 by Sarah from Detroit, MI
Q:I love how soft this makes my skin, but I'm starting to break out. Is this normal, or should I discontinue use? It's been about two weeks since I started.Asked on 10/4/2012 by Ashley from Tampa, FL
A:Every time you start using a new facial cleanser, your skin purges old toxins and can take some time to adjust to your new routine. The skin's cycle is about 3 weeks, so things should start to improve and clear up for you shortly. If you don't notice any improvements, perhaps it might be best to try one of our other facial cleansers formulated more specifically for problem skin.Answered on 10/31/2012 by Anonymous
Q:whats a good moisturizer that goes with AoBS?Asked on 8/27/2012 by cin from tacoma,wa

A:I like to use this product with Imperialis, they are my perfect skincare pair! These are for many types of skin, because Angels is scrubby yet moisturizing, and Imperialis is balancing as well as nourishing. Lavender is present in both products, which works wonders on skin while perfuming it beautifully. No other skin care regimen works as well for me as Angels and Imperialis.Answered on 3/20/2013 by Devoted Lushie from America the Beautiful
Q:Does this help get rid of ache?Asked on 7/29/2012 by Dory
A:The Angels on Bare Skin can help with acne, as it cleanses the skin and exfoliates, but it really depends on your skin type. I would recommend calling our customer care team at 1-888-733-5874 for a more personalized skin care consultation!Answered on 7/31/2012 by Laura from LUSH
Q:i have small pimples on my head can i use this product to get rid of the pimples?Asked on 6/24/2012 by moe from qatar

Q:I need to know if this product has an expiration date...Asked on 2/9/2012 by Anonymous
A:Everything has an expiration date, I would use it for 2 months. Then throw it out if it's still there. Otherwise it will be yucky, the same goes for makeup. Throwing away old skincare products and makeup every couple of months is necessary because bacteria can build up on your used products.Answered on 6/13/2012 by lushaddictedgirl from Chandler, AZ
A:The expiration date should be on the container. Your cleanser will remain fresh for up to three months.Answered on 6/23/2012 by megan from Paso Robles, CA
A:Angels on Bare Skin has a shelf-life of three months, and we put a sticker on each pot saying when it was made, who made it, and when the product is best used by.Answered on 2/16/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:It does, and you may need to ask an SA or contact Lush to get a rough estimate based on when you purchased the product. When I bought this cleanser in the clear plastic tubs, there was no date printed, but I always managed to use it up in a few months so I never ran into a problem.Answered on 4/18/2012 by Vi from MS
A:I think the expiration date is on the little sticker that shows the face of the person who worked on the product. I think it's usually around three or four months from when it was packaged. Hope that helped!Answered on 4/19/2012 by Christy from Evanston, IL
A:It does have a "Best if Used before..." date, which is written on the face sticker that tells you who made your product :]Answered on 4/26/2012 by Sam I Am from Los Angeles, CA
A:I have had this product for about a month now, and a few of the little lavender sprigs have changed from their purple color, but the product itself hasn't changed at all. I would say it lasts around two to three months in it's prime.Answered on 5/2/2012 by Brandy from Franklin, Virginia
Q:Can you freeze it? I just bought a thing of it and noticed it expires in 3 weeks, not going to be able to use it all by then, wondering if I can freeze part of it?Asked on 2/8/2012 by Anonymous
A:All Lush products are made of natural ingredients and are void of preservatives. Some of the natural enzymes that are intended to beautify your skin will be damaged in this process.Answered on 2/9/2012 by Community Answer from None
A:We do not recommend freezing any of our products, as they are best used fresh. I'd recommend only buying this product in small quantities so that you can be sure to finish it before the expiration date.Answered on 2/16/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:How long does Angels on Bare Skin last due to being preservative-free? I am concerned about scrubbing it into my skin as it could be riddled with microbes by now from sitting around in the steamy shower.Asked on 1/29/2012 by Anonymous
A:The Angels on Bare Skin cleanser has a shelf-life of three months, since it contains no preservatives. Please keep the cleansing rolls in a cool (but not cold), dry place so they can stay freshest. As you mentioned, the shower is warm and wet, so this wouldn't be a good place to keep the cleanser.Answered on 1/30/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:Angels on Bare Skin by Lush has a relatively short shelf life due to it being preservative free. The average shelf life is about three months. The consistency and smell should change if your product has gone bad, so keep a close eye on it and also on the expiration date that should be on the container, especially if it is kept in a steamy location.Answered on 2/3/2012 by Community Answer from None
A:The consultant I spoke to today told me the shelf life was 3 months - hope that helps!Answered on 2/3/2012 by Christine the Lush convert from Plano, TX
