I have sensitive skin and needed a gentle weekly exfoliator. I was skeptical because it has ground almonds and I have had bad luck with exfoliators that contain almonds. However, this is pretty gentle.

I use while in the shower so I grab a pea-size amount of this product and rub circles around my face. It's got a very gentle exfoliation so I rub it all over until I feel the work is done. The moisturizing effect is immediate and it leaves your skin so soft and clean!

Angels on Bare Skin is one of the first LUSH products I ever purchased. I have tricky skin - it's combo, and usually clear. My complexion isn't that great though, and any blemishes I do have leave a dark spot when they go away. I also get skin irritation very easily, so I was wary to try a new product, but my SA reccommended AOBS to me, and on a whim, I bought it.

Admittedly, it's hard to use, and I haven't quite gotten the trick to it yet. Other than that, this is a life-saver. In one use, it evened out my skin tone, and in the morning, half of the blemishes on my face were gone! It didn't leave my face feeling oily or dry, but left it with a soft glow. Speaking of soft, I literally could NOT stop touching my face. It felt so smooth! I've had it for about two months, and I'm only about 1/3 through my pot. A little goes a long way!

Angels on Bare Skin is the first Lush face cleanser I ever bought. Luckily the lavender smelling cleanser lives up to its name! The smell is an herby and lavender mix that is very soothing. Also when I scrub my skin it gets away all the dirt without irritating my skin. The only fault this product has is the short shelf life (3 months because it doesn't have preservatives) and its kinda messy. However, the results are totally worth it and I will definitely be buying another container of this stuff.

I love this product! It makes my skin feel so very soft!! It feels really great on my face. It doesn't leave me feeling dry. I even use it on my hands to soften them up. The only downside I find is that it's messy. It's hard to wash it all off of my face. It gets on my clothes, and makes my sink dirty. It's not a huge mess, but it's not the most neat product. Overall, I love it and I totally recommend it! The pros outweigh the cons. :)

When I first started using Lush in college I used Coalface, then Dark Angel when it was released and now I have moved to Angels for the past year or more. As someone who used to battle my skin with harsh cleansers I have really appreciated the Lush approach. I think the important thing is that it is part of a routine- any dermatologist or skin care expert will say a routine is important but the more mainstream products tend to act like one product should fit all sizes.

Angels is a cleanser- not a makeup remover. I use ultrabland to remove makeup and follow that with breath of fresh air toner. In dry weather I do that before bed, in more humid weather (I live in Florida) I follow the ultrabland and toner with angels and enzymion. It really rejuvenates my skin and is a beautiful cleanser that feels good on contact and smells good, too. I love the clay feeling and the lavender.

I'm in my 20's and I've been using LUSH products since I was a pre-teen. This was by far the best face scrub I used during my teen years when my skin was unbalanced and prone to acne. This was back when there were no LUSH stores in the USA and I just happened to discover it one time while visiting London, and I always asked anyone going there to visit to pick me up some of this stuff.
I now use Ocean Salt now that my skin is more balanced, but I recommend this to anyone who is prone to break-outs but have sensitive skin, and especially for teen girls (teen boys should go for something a bit more astringent).
TIP: Refrigerate it! Not only does it make it last much longer, but it's extra cooling and refreshing when you use it first thing in the morning. An amount the size of two or three peas mixed with warm water is all you need for your face!
This also works really well on back acne and chest acne.

I have been prone to overusing all kinds of skincare products for the past year or so that ive been turned on to skin care. I was using all sort of stuff that little did I know did mor eharm than good for my skin! It's very reassuring to learn that this is an age old recipe with such simple and fresh ingredients. And not surprisingly, it does the best job of any cleanser Ive ever used. I have an oily nose with a normal to dry forehead, rosacea stricken cheeks and a normal chin but I wouldnt recommend this for oiler skin types. But for normal to dry to combination skin tones this is a must-try at least! It leaves your skin feeling clean, smooth but never tight or with residue. I look forward to washing my face with this every morning and night.

I'm 52 and have been using AoBS for nine years, but because my skin is more delicate now I use it as a gentle tri-weekly exfoliant after using a non-soap cleanser to remove my makeup. I can't say enough good things about this product! I love lavender so I love the whole flowers in it and how they scent it, love the clay, and love how it makes my skin feel after using it. I can honestly say this cleanser is my favorite Lush product and I wouldn't want to live without it!

I absolutely love this product. I have struggled with acne for years, I've tried absolutely everything, from drugstore brands, to prescriptions and high-end brand names, none of them seemed to work. After trying Angels on Bare Skin I saw results immediately. It's truly heaven on earth. It's gentle enough for daily use, and not harsh on the skin. It's only downfall is that it's a bit messy. I also love the light smell :) One of my lush favorites that I could never live without!

This stuff is great! I this is my go-to everyday cleanser. It is very gentle with just a little bit of scrub. The only negative to this product is that it does leave my skin feeling a bit oily, but I think I will appreciate that now that we are getting into the cold weather months.

This is the ONE product of my skin care regime that I will use every day, no matter how tiered I am or if I'm in a hurry. I'm excited to use this every single day and for a good reason! IT WORKS.

I've used it all. Paying monthly with contracts for skin care products that didn't work was hard on the wallet.And my face.

I bought this a couple months ago in Seattle Lush, where the ladies were more then helpful and kind. I was 8mo pregnant and not only breaking out but also having skin issues elsewhere (legs, hands..etc.) Although Maternity is obviously not their specialty, they thought on their toes and picked out some WONDERFUL products that were most useful for me. WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!

I take my (clean) pointer finger after washing my hands and dig it gently into the clay, slide it a bit and take whats on the tip of my finger and roll it into a tiny ball (about pea sized, whats reccomended). While I roll it between my index and thumb, I add a small amount of water and knead it gently until the runny clay is created. Then rub it between both hands finger tips and gently rub into skin in circular motions, removing makeup, dead/dry skin, cleaning pores and revealing soft, smooth, clean skin.

After the first use that night, I've been hooked.I noticed results right away and within a week my skin had noticable changes. Acne clear, smoother, even complection, glowy look. Now, I've used it so much I have my own way and take it down the neck, decolotage and chest when in the shower.

Not only has a small tub lasted me months, but it's a money saver ALL AROUND. Less spots/discoloration=less concealer/foundation. Within a month I rarely had to use concealer for skin issues! (just dark circles with my newborn baby girl lol, come up with a product for that and it would be my NEXT holy grail item!)

Overall freakin' FANTASTIC product.

Pros:
-Great, soothing scent, mostly lavender
-Very gentle on skin
-Soothing and refreshing

Cons:
-Doesn't exfoliate
-Ground almonds get into your hairline

All in all, highly recommended. Once you get the hang of it it's really easy to use and it lasts a long time. I got the 3,5oz jar 2 months ago and I used maybe a half of it (washing my face twice a day).
It's really gentle so I mix some sugar with a tablespoon of honey for extra exfoliation once a week. For some reason I thought it would have ground almond SHELLS in it but it's actual almonds so it's not scrubby enough for me but I still love it. Combined with Full Of Grace it cleared up my skin, made it soft and smooth. Even though it feels slightly oily right after I use it, it absorbs nicely without leaving a layer of oil sitting on my skin. Two thumbs up!

I love this stuff! I have very sensitive skin and I had almost given up hope of finding an exfoliating cleanser that I could use on my skin. Not only does this product work to keep your skin clean but it is very gentle for sensitive skin. I use it every other day at night to clear my skin of any debris that has clogged my pores. It might be a little hard to get used to using f you haven't used a product like this but I get my face wet and then take a pea sized amount and make a paste with water and rub it in gently. I clean it off with a hot wash cloth. After this I use my Tea Tree Toner and Vanishing Cream and viola my face feels soft and refreshed!

love this stuff..i have tried everything every store has to offer for my breakouts its insane i think ive tried everything out there. After giving up I went to a dermatogist and was on pills, face wash and creams. Since then I am expecting a baby and wanted to be all natural so i tried a few combinations at lush and the tea tree water, angels on bare skin and grease lighting. my skin has never been better! Pregnancy has made my skin worse than when i was a teenager. this stuff is amazing i wont even bother seeing a dermatogist!

This product smells wonderful first off, very gentle and relaxing. Great to use before bed time!

I usually take about a pea sized pinch of it, put it in my palm, add a teensy amount of water (like 3 drops!) and then massage it all over my face.

It makes my skin super soft and does a pretty decent job removing makeup, which I didn't initially expect. You can feel a gentle exfoliation from the ground almond, but it isn't rough at all and didn't irritate my skin like other brands of face wash.

The only negative is that it does leave little white crumbs behind even if you wash super thoroughly. It helps if I avoid my hairline when washing with it, and the rest comes out easy with a little extra brushing with my fingers. It's not horribly awfully messy though, and I'd say that with how baby soft it makes my skin feel, any mess is worth it!

So, a teensy bit messy after using, but makes your skin baby soft and smells lovely!
