Calming calamine wash
Do you remember putting calamine lotion on bug bites as a child? Aqua Marina was made with the same principle in mind; using the soothing pink extract to calm irritated, sensitive skin. This creamy, gentle cleanser is rolled up with mineral-rich nori seaweed to nourish the skin, cooling aloe vera gel and a sprinkling of sea salt for a super gentle exfoliation. Use all over your body in the shower or bath for smooth, perfectly soothed skin!
- Under the sea: Aqua Marina is made with three types of seaweed to soften and nourish the skin.
- Spent too much time in the sun? This soothing cleanser will help take the sting out.
- Best used fresh: Our cleanser rolls are preservative-free, so be sure to use it up by the best before date on your pot!

Q:Can I use this if I am pregnant?Asked on 4/29/2015 by TuTu Preggers from Atlanta, GA
A:We list all of our ingredients on our product pages, so I would recommend taking this product to a physician if you are at all unsure. Although I do not see any ingredients that I think would cause troubles, it is always best to consult a doctor.Answered on 5/6/2015 by Sal
A:Sorry but I have no idea. Can't imagine it would be harmful as it is a topical product, and as long as you aren't allergic to any of the ingredients I'd think you should be okay. I suggest you show the list of ingredients to your doctor and ask if he thinks it's okay for you to use.Answered on 4/30/2015 by Anonymous
Q:Is this a good cleanser for a healing tattoo?Asked on 4/8/2015 by Em from Buffalo
A:It is definitely best to consult with your tattoo artist to ensure you are using a cleanser that is appropriate for you, but in general Aqua Marina is likely a nice choice if you are looking for something gentle.Answered on 4/10/2015 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:It is, but only after this first 2 or 3 days so that your skin in not still
open. It is extremely mild and gentle, and is moisture packed.Answered on 4/8/2015 by Anonymous
Q:Can I use this cleanser as a make up remover? If not, are there any products similar to this that would serve that purpose?Asked on 3/26/2015 by Nayda from Reading, Pennsylvania
A:I would recommend using Ultrabland cleanser or 9 to 5 cleanser as a makeup remover!Answered on 3/27/2015 by Kels from LUSH Direct
Q:My skin is very reactive as well as oily and it dries out easily when I use the Herbalism everyday twice a day. Will Aqua Marina be gentle enough for my reactive/sensitive and oily skin and not dry it out?Asked on 10/21/2014 by Maybearee from Keller, Tx
A:Yes, Aqua Marina is a great gentle cleanser for sensitive and oily skin! The calamine works great to calm the most irritated of skins, the seaweed used nourishes the skin, and sea salt works wonderfully as super gentle exfoliant.Answered on 11/14/2014 by Anonymous
A:I also have really sensitive skin, and Aqua marina gets a little too harsh on my skin. I would recommend the mask of magnaminty. It helps control the oil, leaves me feeling fresh, and I've been using it for about a year with no problems of it irritating my skin.

Q:I've taken my tub of Aqua Marina into the shower with me and it's gotten very moist/soft and quite wet. I just want to know if that will affect it in any negative way. (For example) Will the quicken up the expiry date? or will mold start to grow?Asked on 10/20/2014 by lilyrosex2
A:It should be fine to use, but in the future try to keep the Aqua Marina dry and out of the shower. Or if you are have to use it in there definitely keep the container out of the water and only take what you need!Answered on 11/14/2014 by Anonymous

Q:I will be going out of the country for 6 months and am thinking of buying Aqua Marina Cleanser for both my body and face. I would use it everyday, and possibly even 2x a day on my face.
How many ounces do you recommend buying? How long does a 8.8oz last? thanks!! Please let me know asap!Asked on 6/17/2014 by Kayla
A:Aqua Marina only has a three month shelf life so if you are travelling for 6 months it won't be okay to use for that long.Answered on 9/12/2014 by Anonymous
A:That is hard to guage, but if it helps, the Fresh Farmacy soap bar is made with the same properties and I can imagine you could bring 3 bars and be fine! I noticed my Aqua Marina had an expiration date, so this won't happen with the bars. Check out the ingredients! Good luck and buon voyage!Answered on 8/21/2014 by New Lushie Loyalist from Venice, Italy
Q:Does Aqua Marina fade tans?Asked on 6/14/2014 by Jessica from United States
A:Aqua Marina doesn't contain ingredients that should fade tans, no.Answered on 9/25/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:I am considering buying this product but I was wondering what moisturizer and toner would best suit this? I have normal to combo skinAsked on 6/6/2014 by Whit Whit from Georgia
A:The toner and moisturizer you choose really just depends on your skin, and what works best for you. If you don't have any major issues with oil, Breath of Fresh Air is a great balancing toner, as well as Imperialis moisturizer.Answered on 9/25/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:I use the Tea Tree Toner and then Vanishing Cream moisturizer. The rose toner might work well too because its soothing like the calamine in the Aqua Marina. I like the Vanishing Cream moisturizer with it because it gives the perfect amount of moisture- I sometimes find Aqua Marina to be a TINY bit drying, but the Vanishing Cream is perfect- it does not leave skin greasy at all!Answered on 6/19/2014 by Sofi from Ipswich, MA
I use the Tea Tree Toner and Gorgeous moisturizer with the Aqua Marina
cleanser. Both products are smooth and light. They absorb well into my
skin year-round without leaving any residue or shine. All products give me
a fresh face morning dew look. You'll be happy with the Aqua Marina
cleanser no matter what products you use with them. It has reduced the
frequency of breakouts.
Please let me know if you need additional information.

Q:I've been using this product for a few weeks and usually have a difficult time washing all of it off of my face even when I scrub vigorously, upsetting my skin. Any suggestions on how to get it all off without rubbing my face raw?Asked on 4/25/2014 by Jess from Pittsburgh, Pa
A:Try using less product, you only need a pea sized amount. Also, use a warm wash cloth to remove any excess product on your skin.Answered on 5/3/2014 by Jeanine from LUSH Direct
A:Perhaps you are using too much? You only need a pea-sized bit. Put the droplet in your cupped hand, add water to make a water paste, then apply. Does this help?Answered on 4/30/2014 by Anonymous
A:Just use a little less, you really don’t need much to clean your face with, and then just use copious amounts of water to rinse and use your hands in a circular motion! hope this helps!

I use very little of the product at a time. I make it kinda runny (thinner
than a paste) by mixing it with water in the palm of my hand. Then I just
use my fingers to apply like face lotion.
I also don't use a washcloth at all but lots of water to gently rinse my
face, (but my skin is extremely sensitive.)
It's always easiest in the shower bc then I'm sure to adequately rinse my
neck & hairline, (which are the places I tend to miss. )
Hope this helps.

Q:I currently use Aqua marina and I love it. However I also want to buy a pot of Let the good times roll because I think it will provide a bit more exfoliation and moisture. I guess my question relates to if using a cleanser two times a day will be too much. I was thinking of using Let the good times roll to wash my face in the morning, and aqua marina before going to bed. Is this a good idea or should I cut down on how many times I use a cleanser? If it's alright, is the timing of it good, or should I use let the good times roll at night and aqua marina in the morning?Asked on 2/15/2014 by ila
A:Both cleansers are gentle enough to be used twice daily, and it really just depends on your own preference which one you use in the morning, and which you use in the evening. We would recommend experimenting both ways to see which is best for you!Answered on 3/26/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:I use Aqua Marina twice a day but follow it up with a moisturizer to
prevent my skin from drying out.Answered on 2/15/2014 by Anonymous
Q:How is this product compared to fresh farmacy? Which one is better for acne and sensitive skin? What about fading post acne scars?Asked on 1/3/2014 by girl
A:Aqua Marina and Fresh Farmacy both contain soothing calamine, so both are great choices for sensitive skin! Since Fresh Farmacy also contains tea tree oil, which works as a natural antiseptic, it does have a bit of an advantage in taking care of acne.
Exfoliation and citrus ingredients are the best way to reduce the appearance of acne scars, and neither Fresh Farmacy nor Aqua Marina incorporate these. Ocean Salt would be best for this purpose, but if you'd rather use something more gentle, Angels on Bare Skin is a great exfoliator as well!Answered on 3/21/2014 by Brandy from LUSH
A:I have hormonal cystic acne and occasional dry spots. Most cleansers and acne products, including Fresh Farmacy, have made me break out even more. I've been using Aqua Marina for two weeks and, while I haven't noticed a change in my old acne scars, my face is generally brighter, smoother, and less oily at the end of the day. The little bumps I've had as long as I can remember along my hairline and on my chin are nearly gone.Answered on 2/11/2014 by Karol from DC
A:for me, this has done nothing to fade my acne scars :(Answered on 2/6/2014 by ah2ris from Valencia, CA
Q:So I live in an area with no LUSH stores near. I need a product to help with red, dry, and EXTREMELY flakey skin. I need a pretty good amount and around ten dollars. Any recommendations?Asked on 12/6/2013 by Mikayla from Idaho
A:I would recommend you try the Aqua Marina cleanser! Aqua Marina was made with the same principle in mind; using the soothing pink extract to reduce redness and inflammation in sensitive skin. Those who have a tendency to react to citrus or strong herbal oils will find salvation in Aqua Marina’s gentle aloe vera and moisturizing nori seaweed. I think this product best suits your skin type!Answered on 12/8/2013 by Anonymous
Q:i currently use aqua marina and have been contemplating getting a clarisonic for a deeper cleansing system for my face. can i use aqua marina on the clarisonic brush? has anyone done this and gotten good results? or do you advice against this? i love this cleanser and dont want to switch.Asked on 10/21/2013 by amitch90 from cleveland, oh
A:Unfortunately, none of our cleansers were designed to be used with a Clarisonic. We don't know how they will work with this device as we have not tested them this way. I would really not advise using the Aqua Marina due to its thick consistency and the scrubby, exfoliating pieces in it as these might clog or damage the brush.Answered on 1/24/2014 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:It doesn't work as good as a liquid cleanser, but it does work. Just be prepared for little bits of seaweed to get stuck in the bristles!Answered on 11/2/2013 by Holly from Utah
Q:does this need to be refridgerated?Asked on 9/20/2013 by Madwrld
A:It is not required that the Aqua Marina cleanser be kept refrigerated. Our Aqua Marina has a shelf life of 3 months from the time is was made! I hope this helps! Cheers :)Answered on 11/19/2013 by Anonymous
A:I personally don’t refrigerate mine, and I think that’s ok. I don't really know. I don’t think it’ll hurt the product either way.Answered on 9/27/2013 by Anonymous
A:I have gone through my first (large) container of Aqua Marina and I didn't need to refrigerate it at all. So, no, I do not think this needs to be refrigerated.Answered on 9/21/2013 by Anonymous
A:I don't refrigerate mine and I've never had a problem. I don't think it says it needs to be refrigerated on the package.

Q:When buying this online, does it come in a black jar like in the picture? Or does it come in a clear container like in the stores?Asked on 8/3/2013 by Smucky from United States
A:Yes, The Aqua Marina face cleanser when purchasing on line does come in the black pot!Answered on 9/24/2013 by Anonymous
A:The clear, plastic container is used for non-standard amounts, such as getting $10 worth of a bulk product since it's sold by weight. You'll get the black jar if you order online.Answered on 8/15/2013 by MPickles from Cameron Park, CA
Q:I have keratosis pilaris (sp?) on my arms; does this product work well to aid in clearing it up?Asked on 7/17/2013 by Phoenix_03 from Boise, ID
A:Buffy body butter is a great choice for KP, as it will exfoliate very gently while hydrating the skin. It is very gentle, and we have received tons of positive feedback on it working wonders for people who suffer from KP!Answered on 10/4/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Does this product help with acne?Asked on 7/7/2013 by Steffi from San Diego, CA
A:Aqua Marina can definitely help with acne, however, we definitely have a number of products that are a little more effective on acne-prone skin. Check out Herbalism, or Coalface!Answered on 8/21/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:It helped with mine so far but I've only been using it for a week now. The whiteheads I had on my chin and forehead shrank and disappeared overnight and I have not gotten a single new breakout yet since I've been using it. I definitely recommend you test it out on your skin and see how it goes.Answered on 7/14/2013 by B from Philadelphia, PA
