I just bought this bar about two weeks ago, and I am simply in love with it. I have not a single bad thing to say about it, and I use it almost daily. I have had Keratosis Pilaris--a skin condition that give me dry, bumpy, red skin-- on my upper arms for as long as I can remember. I've used every cream on the market including going to the dermatologist, and nothing has ever worked.

I can tell you right now that my skin has NEVER looked better. While there is no cure for my condition, it can be treated and symptoms reduced by extreme moisturizing. I use the bar in the shower (I would suggest buying the larger bar, you get more bang for your buck and the grip-ability is much better) and gently use it to exfoliate my upper arms, then rinse.

There is a layer of moisturizer left behind which you can feel. It is not heavy and not greasy. You can almost see results instantly. I would suggest this for anyone who has a sensitive skin condition where dryness and redness occurs, or just for someone who wants to get their skin silky smooth again. I would highly suggest using this in the shower to avoid any mess the almond grit can leave behind. The Body Butter Tin works well in keeping it out of the water when not in use.

Surprised by how fast this bar melts as you apply it on wet skin—unlike King of Skin, which I now probably prefer. This bar is more of a light moisturizer, so maybe it might be better as a summer product as it definitely leaves my dry winter skin wanting. It feels as if a lot of the product washes off with the rinse cycle and barely leaves any butter on your skin. It smells divine, although I think it's more oatmeal/almond rather than peanut butter as most reviewers think. A non-scrub version would work better so that you could rub on the pure butter without rinsing to make it last (and smell good) longer. I would recommend this for summer and for cooler showers, and quite simply as a scrub more than a body butter. It's a bit pricey though, considering how fast it melts away.

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

so yesterday, I went to Lush for the first time. Absolutely LOVED everything I came in contact with :) I decided to buy Aqua Mirabilis to try out. I used it this morning.

Honestly, I can't say I loved it. It didn't smell as pleasant wet as it did when it was dry, but I could get past that. It didn't lather. It was oily and the almond shells HURT to scrub with (it wasn't a gentle scrub at all!) It basically felt like I was rubbing an disintegrating, oily rock on my skin.

However, I did notice that my skin was softer after using it. I think after this bar is gone though, I'll switch to something different.

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

I have a few bumps here and there on my upper arms and I haven't found anything that helps and this helps to calm them down. I love this product. It also leaves my skin soft without leaving a residue.

The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't last long at all. My first one was gone in about two weeks (I ordered another one, of course), and the nearest Lush store from me is 2 1/2 hours away.

In case anyone cares, I use this after I wash with regular soap in the shower.

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

This is a great product. Before you purchase, understand that it is a body BUTTER. Buy a tin so that it doesn't melt in your shower. It lathers quickly which leads the product to not last very long. Considering that it's not that expensive for a bar, I don't quite mind, and I understand that it does melt quickly. I usually take my body butter and tin out of the shower and let it air dry before closing the lid so that it doesn't get all moldy.

I just got this in the mail yesterday and as soon as it arrived I had to try it out. I got in the shower and went about my business as I normally would and right before I stepped out I opened this baby up and swiped it a couple of times over my body and then rinsed...
I cannot believe (still!) how effective this product is! Not only was my skin the silkiest it has EVER BEEN (and that's saying something because I always have soft skin) but the scaly bumps that I had on the backside of my arms were GONE!!
It smells warm and nutty/buttery, which is great. It's a natural nutty scent that doesn't seem to overpower any other scents you may put on after your shower. I just really can't rave about this enough... it just really works. It really does everything it promises.. and I don't know about you, but in this day and age that's pretty remarkable to find. Thanks LUSH, you've officially converted me :)

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

I was an avid buffy user but decided on a whim to try out aqua mirabilis, and I am now a total convert! I've been using this following cleansing with alkmaar soap and my skin is soft, smooth, and I smell wonderful. Every time I use this bar I want to just bite a chunk out of it, it smells so good. Buffy would leave my shower floor with all of the bits (and sometimes the bits would get caught up in my lady bits!), but this all rinses away and makes my skin feel moisturized and less greasy than after buffy.

If you're thinking about it, try it! It's not too harsh or rough, despite its tagline.

I was told its good for eczema and its worked really good on my arms, only reason I will continue to purchase it.

I have Eczema and i get really dry itchy red patches on my skin on my neck under my chin my hands and behind my knees. i bought this on a whim during my first visit to lush, im so happy i did i used this body butter on my hands and it got rid of the scaley red itchy dry patches but it is also very gentle whitch is important for me since my skin is EXTRA sensitive. i had a huge red dry patch on my chin and neck so i used this on those areas and GONE nothing left but smooth skin and a lot less red afterwards. This is so great becuase it exfoliates gently and moisturizes at the same time. Also the smell warm nutty a little sweet so adicting. I can't say enough about how this product has changed my skin since i started using it the results are imdiate for me. i wont be without this product ever i refuse to. The only thing is it goes so fast i wish they made a bigger size. all and all this is a must have great product

I love this stuff! I have Keratosis Pilaris, which means that I get little bumps that look like zits on my upper arms, which are aggravated when my skin is dry. This is the only product I've ever found that helps it! If you keep it in a tin when you're not using it, the bar will last forever, so it's definitely worth the price. The only downside is when you keep it in a tin it can get moldy. Its not enough to bother me, just tiny little specks that you can scratch off with your fingernail and the smell is altered a little bit when the bar is older. I consider it a small price to pay for knowing there are REAL ingredients in the bar that make my skin beautiful!

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

I'm not too impressed with this body butter. But it is worth a try!
        1) SMELL: to me, it smells like peanut butter. I liked it at first and I still like it but I'm not too in love with it. It has a hint of almond. So it's not a bad smell it just is different than you'd like it to be
        2) It doesn't really moisturize but it has great exfoliating particles so I like to use this for areas where I'm prone to ingrown hairs. Also I heard it helps lighten up certain areas where you may have discoloration such as under your arms which I haven't seen yet but that's be nice. If that ends up happening I will mention that in a later review post.
        3) It doesn't last long so I recommend cutting it into pieces. I cut them small enough to where they are the size I will use in a shower use.
I still like this body butter because the smell is pretty nice. It's nice amazing but I'm not annoyed by it and it is great for exfoliating.

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

As a previous user of both buffy and you crack the whip, I think Aqua mirabilis is more of an exfoliant with a conditioner than a moisturizer.

It definitely does not leave you as buttery as Buffy, but it gives just as good of a scrub down and turns into a white-ish lotion when you apply it. It conditions the skin, but still calls for more moisturizer after the shower or later in the day, depending on how dry your skin is. It is definitely not a winter skin salve.

It smells chocolatey which I love in the shower, but it doesn't linger which I also appreciate (I am more into botanical smells)

        One star for scrubbiness.
        One star for skin conditioning.
        One star for smell-goodiness.

I really thought I'd love this based on all the great reviews but sadly I do not. This smells exactly of ground almonds with no sweetness so if that is not your thing I would not buy this. As an exfoliation this did the job well enough but I don't think it was very moisturizing. As suggested by other users I cut this up into chunks before using so the whole bar wouldn't melt in one use. As a result I had a hard time getting a good grip on the little chunk to rub it around because it was melting so fast. I'll use this up because it does exfoliate and I don't want to waste it but I won't buy it again.

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

This product has a lovely, calming scent. It smells very much like dry porridge with a bit of sandalwood. I use this after a long soak in the bath. After I've shaved and washed, perhaps five minutes before getting out of the bath, I scrub my legs, arms and decolletage with this lightly. I then keep my arms and legs resting on the sides of the tub and allow the product to dry while occasionally rubbing it in a bit more. I have found it is more moisturising this way. It leaves me very smooth. I have not reacted to the crushed almond shell and it seems to soothe my skin when it is rashy despite the exfoliating properties. Directly out of the bath I pat try and rub on Schnuggle to enhance the comforting scent. The small bar lasts about a dozen baths if you do not submerge it.

I just bought my second Aqua Mirabilis bar to use with It's Raining Men shower gel. I am SO excited to try the combination of both. The first bar I used by itself and it did some serious work on the little annoying bumps I couldn't seem to get rid of on the backs of my arms. Some people refer to this as chicken skin syndrome...well, no more! I have used other fresh bars found at elite grocery stores that combine almond and coffee grounds to exfoliate...but found them to be a little too harsh. This bar is incredibly smoothing and smells AWESOME. I like to use it before bed as the smell lingers on my skin making me feel super cozy~~

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

Comments about Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter:

I have searched and spent so much money trying to find a product that would help with my dry skin. This item worked IMMEDIATELY! The smell is NOT terrible, could be better, but definetely not bad. My only problem with this product is that it does not last long and absorbs quickly in the water. I do find it a little bit pricey due to that, but not enough so to stop me from purchasing it! I would definetly suggest giving this soap a try, you won't be sorry.

I had red bumps on my skin from harsh weather, this oriental scented body butter cleared them right up. My only regret is that it doesn't last longer!

How many times can this be used? Im flying off in one month time and i will need the body butter for my month-long trip. Is it ok to bring the body butter along or should i just purchase it from Lush Korea?

I would say bring it along packed in the appropriate Lush tin. If you need more you can purchase then, but this is a very travel friendly product. Just be sure to store it in the tin :)

Which moisturizes and softens your skin better - AM or You Snap The Whip? and which one leaves more residue in the shower? Thanks!

                    A:

When it comes to the body butters all are moisturizing but we tend to advise on whats best based more on your skin type. The Aqua Mirabilis is suited to sensitive skins whereas the You Snap The Whip is more ideal for oily, blemish prone skin. There can be residue from both but so long as you give the shower a good scrub after there will not be a problem, we find showers with detachable shower heads most suitable.
