Nuts for Coconuts

We’re absolutely nuts for coconuts and love to use them in a wide array of our products. Many things can be made from the coconut palm and practically all of the plant is used in some way. In Sanskrit, the name given is 'kalpa vriksha,' which means, 'tree that gives all that is necessary for living.' The revitalizing properties of coconut are ideal for use on the skin, scalp and hair.

We use creamed coconut, coconut milk powder, fresh coconut milk, creamed coconut infusion, desiccated coconut, coconut water, coconut decoction, fresh coconut flesh and coconut oil, to name a few.

Coconut oil is a key ingredient in our palm-free soap base, along with rapeseed and sunflower oil. Coconut water and coconut oil are soothing and hydrating on the skin, making them perfect as bases for our Vanilla Dee-lite and Coco Lotion body lotions. We grate creamed coconut to use in our Coconut deodorant, along with coconut milk powder, extra virgin coconut oil and desiccated coconut (desiccated coconut has the lovely, fresh aroma of the coconut and is gently absorbent). Adding coconut in its ground form is ideal for a powder product as it is soothing on the skin and locks in moisture. In our Trichomania solid shampoo, we melt the creamed coconut into the product as its being made. It gives a beautiful shine to the hair and nourishes the scalp too. Coconut water and coconut decoction are mixed into our RetroLUSH Coolaulin hair conditioner to leave your hair softer and stronger, with a rich, tropical scent.
