As an avid traveler, I have had the luxury of exploring many gorgeous Caribbean islands. It seems now that I have a permanent case of the travel bug. Whenever I do, I just drop in the Big Blue bath bomb and it is like MAGIC! I feel like I am on my own private Caribbean island with the turquoise water and the floating seaweed. Specifically, the color of the water reminds me of the Bahamas. It also smells AMAZINGLY refreshing and it leaves your skin so soft. Just recently when we traveled to Montreal, my husband and I just tried it together in our gigantic jacuzzi hotel tub. He said he never knew he could enjoy a bath so much!
This would be a great gift for yourself and your friends--especially if you're a beach lover like my husband and I are. I love, love, love this product. Thank you, LUSH! :)

Great scent that lasted on my skin. But as the bomb began to disintegrate, the seaweed had an unattractive appearance -- almost as though worms were working their way out of the bomb and into the tub. Once the bomb disappeared, the tub contained a lot of seaweed (it has the appearance of loose tea). I was looking forward to unwinding with a great soak and scent, but the fact that I was sharing the tub with a lot of seaweed wasn't a relaxing thought.

I bought this at a Lush Store. When I take a shower I use a shower gel, a shampoo, and a conditioner. When I took a bath today, this was all I needed. It left me sweet smelling, I felt clean, and it's very relaxing.
The only con is that the seaweed clogged the drain so that the water wouldn't go down. I had to scoop it out of the tub with a tissue when I was finished.

This is the first Lush bath product that I have used. I was interested in purchasing a bath bomb after viewing all the demonstrations they do for customers in-store.
I love taking baths and always have. When I was a little girl, my mother used to buy me a bath soak which would turn the water a deep blue color which I precociously referred to as "ocean water". I haven't used any sort of bath soak since which had this same effect on the water's color until I tried this product. It's gorgeous!
The cashier at the store recommended that I use this product in conjunction with the Sunny Side bath bar to acheive a "mermaid water" effect. (She showed me a picture of it on her phone, and I was sold!) When used with Big Blue the water turns blue, but you get gold shimmering throughout the bathtub, almost like liquid, golden smoke under the water. It's absolutely beautiful.
I like shaving in the bath, too, since I tend to cut myself less. I would have to say using this product definitely helped me get a closer shave on my legs!
The seaweed in this product is awesome- I live near the ocean, and I love the effect that seawater has on my skin. It's great if you drain the bathwater, scoop up the seaweed, and rub it all over your skin before rinsing off.
All in all: I will be buying this again! What a treat!!

Big Blue is my absolute favorite bath product from Lush. I'm always longing for the ocean, but I live in the middle of USA. Big Blue brings a little bit of the deep blue sea into my life, and for that I appreciate it. The smell is fantastic, the sea salt is a great addition, and I adore the bits of seaweed that float around the tub. The color it turns the water is gorgeous as well!

I've never been a "bath person".... Lush is changing that starting with this Big Blue bath bomb. Loving everything about it... don't even mind the seaweed bits which some are complaining about. Seriously, it's not that bad, it's not like you're swamped by it... just a nice little touch that anyone who's familar with and loves the beach would enjoy as part of the theme. Also, I have a painful muscle and joint disease and something about this really helps in alleviating my pain and stiffness.

I bought this product because I really liked the smell. When I popped it into the bath it started to fizz and seaweed started to go everywhere. There was so much and when I finished the bath and unplugged all the water went down and the seaweed didn't go down so it was kind of hard to put down the drain. Other than that I loved this product!

I was so excited to try this bath bomb because of the sea salt and seaweed. It turned my water VERY blue it was lovely. The smell of the seaweed and sea salt was very relaxing. However, when I was ready to wash with the Sea vegetable soap my skin felt painful and dry, due to the sea salt in the bomb. So I washed with the lower portion of the Sea Vegetable soap, avoiding the sea salt on the top, and my skin was so dry and painful after I had to jump out and put lotion on immediately. Kind of bummed out that I bought two of these bath bombs. I'm not sure when or if I'm going to use the second one.

I don't know how I feel about this one. It smelled nice and it made my skin feel soft, but it didn't leave me impressed. Maybe it was the amount of seaweed (there's a LOT in there!) or my dislike for the beach, Big Blue didn't leave me wanting more.
I do think it's worth trying, though. I think I'd enjoy it more if I put it in a nylon and just relaxed in the water, because I did like how it made my skin feel and it had a pleasent scent.

I always cut my bath bombs in half with a large knife, just so that i can get even more out of it! It still works just fine, it colors the water and smells amazing. You can cut most of them in half before using them giving you two times the bathing! As a curiosity once, I took the Big Blue and ran a bath for my man and I. We used a full one as we have an oversized garden tub. Afterwards we left the water in the tub. The next day my husband drained about 1/3 of the water and added hot back into the tub and took another bath! The water still felt great on him he said and the smell was fantastic. You can use it twice if you use a screwdriver and a hammer at the middle seam to gently crack it in half. This gives you two halves to use at seperate times... Just one, really. I suppose you could try to halve one and use it twice, but the bombs are crumbly by nature and I really think that the bath experience would suffer if you only used half. Be a little indulgent and drop the whole thing in! You will love it.

Although these bath bombs are rather large, they typically only last through one bath. With any bomb, once it has been exposed to water it immediately begins fizzing and disintegrating.
