Topnotes of citrus and sandalwood make this a somewhat heavy smell, without being overpowering. Definitely reminiscent of incense. I dig the smell, I find it fresh and energizing. Only complaint is that the tube can get a bit messy - there's no way to retract the stick once pushed up without mashing it down when you put the cap back on, so I often end up applying it from the plastic threading on the side.

I guess I was expecting something more along the lines of Icon's smokiness when the description said incense. It's not that this is bad, it just doesn't stand out when compared to other Lush scents.

When it comes to perfume, I am very picky, and very adventurous. I favor unisex and unusual scents. Until I tried Breath of God, I used a very pricey and exclusive scent - but I love Lush and I was intrigued, plus it was an inexpensive gamble. So I bought it off the Internet without trying it in the store. Well I LOVE this scent and I love the convenience of the solid perfume stick format. So I will be buying Breath of God - again, and again.

I received this solid perfume and I felt like I was transported to another world. It is hard to describe this scent because it is so intense and complex. The best way is to tell you what I visualize when this scent hits my nose; it reminds me of a clear, crisp morning somewhere up high looking out over an untouched land in a far away place. The description of what the perfumer was trying to capture is spot on. It wraps you up and gives you a breath of fresh air at the same time.

Well, I bought this one by accident, the first few times I smelt breath of god, I wasn't so intrigued. It smelt too overpowering just in the tube. I wore it for a few hours, and this scent grew on me. I read some more about it on here, and when it said for him or her, it hit me! ah! It has that masculine/cologne type of scent! This is why I wasn't quite liking the scent. I gave my wrist another whiff, and imagined it was on a guy, and yup! seemed to be just right. I mix it with vanillary, to see if it would be more feminine, but no such luck yet. I may just end up giving this to my boyfriend, great scent for a guy, I wouldn't say the best scent for a girl, unless you like the more of a cologne scent.

I originally tried BOG from a friend who owns it and wasn't a huge fan - it's fairly intense and strong when you smell it in the tube. When I decided to expand my Lush perfume collection, I decided to give it another try (I haven't had the chance to smell very many other options). And I am so glad I did! Although it is still as intense as I remember, it is much nicer on the skin and changes after some warming up. Lasts all day too.

This perfume is by far the best fragrance I've ever used.

I'm new to the lush family and when I read the description on the website, I had to run to the nearest store and check it out for myself.

I was a little skeptical about claims that the scent changes and develops over time. But as I walked around the city after purchasing it, I couldn't stop smelling myself - and every time I did, it smelled a little different. It started out bright and fruity, and slowly grew into the warm earthiness of cedar and sandalwood. The name is totally fitting - all in all I would say this perfume smells like incense, and I love it.

Sidenote: guys should not be put off by the label "perfume." I strongly recommend this to any men looking to add something fresh and distinctive to their collection - it'll make you stand out in a good way.

Breath of God is so rich, subtle, complex, and mysterious that it's really difficult to describe. It's a special perfume that works equally well on men and women and which reacts differently on each individual. I love how this perfume's fragrance evolves and changes throughout the day as I wear it, which allows me to detect different fragrance notes as I go about my business.

Breath of God isn't for everyone, but I would urge everyone to at least TRY it! I didn't think I'd care for it at first, but now it's one of my favorite perfumes.

At first it was the Name that caught my attention. Because I love God, I wanted to wear a fragrance that would be associated with Him. This is a very unique unisex fragrance. Like Alpha and Omega this fragrance can be best described as "alive". Everytime I smell my wrist, I smell something different. The opening notes are explosive, not for the faint of heart - imagine light and darkness with air, water, fire, earth with a bit of medicinal overtones. But very quickly the fragrance settles into earthy smokey incense which like a prayer, weaves around the opening notes. The dry down settles even more into a warm skin scent. This enigmatic scent is art to me, contemplative, confident..hard to define. I can see where some people love it and others hate it. I haven't decided whether I like this fragrance or not. It is so curious. Unfortunately, my husband and younger daughter hate it (they say it smells like old lady perfume), while on the other hand, my older daughter likes it (she says it reminds her of clean water/smoke in a rich person's mansion). I will definitely get back to Lush on my final assessment. Thank you Lush for broadening my horizons!

I love this fragrance. It is truly smokey, and soothing. It's best for cold weather as it is a heavier fragrance. Not heavy as in overpowering, heavy as in a warm smell that wraps around you. I would reccommend a different carrier that this cute little stick though. It's rather oily, and leaves a blue smear wherever you put it on. Not so attractive on white tshirt necks.

This is a wonderful, rich, confusing perfume. I love it and I am perplexed by it and I don't think it's for me and I love it anyway. It lasts forever on me, doesn't budge much from its deep opening notes, but even then I am enthralled by it and never stop being enthralled by it the whole time I'm wearing it.

I feel ethereal while wearing this. Like noone can touch me. Just...Zen. But I guess that was kind of the point :)

Bottom line: I would recommend it to a friend...but I kinda want to keep it my own signature scent

I put this on every morning and throughout the day. The packaging is very convienient. I love the scent of melons that come off in the fragrance. Intricate yet simple.

While shopping at my local Lush I happened to pick this up. I smelled it and put it back to continue picking up the things that I needed. I went back to this a second time and swiped some on, and then went back a third time. I have never ever smelled something quite so UNIQUE! Once I realized that I couldn't stop smelling my wrist, I realized I had to have it. It's so smokey and warm!!l

I was so disappointed with this. The smells is a combination of a pine scented car air freshener and the smell of my grandfather: his cologne and when he's a little liqoured up. :/ so more like breath of my grandpa Jim. I really do love lush and just couldn't be more surprised that I wasn't satisfied. Luckily I was able to return the solid and now I can find a scent that better suits me.

i really like this product. you can use the solid perfume in so many ways! i use it on my wrists what not, but the coolest thing about it is that it doubles as an under arm deodorant. it makes my pits smell so good and the smell stays for a really long time. i put it on in the morning a day ago and it stills smells like i just put it on:)

this smells amazing! it most definitely could be used for both men and women, the scent lasts a long time and id definitely buy this again

although after the scent fades a little, it smells more like a mens scent, but its still great, i like it a lot
