Usually I'm a sucker for citrusy or vanilla-based scents; they're just like candy. But I had recently gone whiskey tasting with my significant dude-bro and when they had me smell Breath of God, it took me right back to a snifter glass full of Irish whiskey!
Now both I AND my manfriend actually enjoy my perfume!
If there is anything upsetting about it, it's that it'll melt quickly if you plan to carry it around (not so good when you're in Arizona). Fortunately, a few good swipes will do the trick and you'll be subtly smelling of a classic whiskey all day long. And the fact that it's a solid means no more alcohol-based perfumes will stain my clothes!

I just bought the solid and I'm not as crazy about it compared to the spray . for some reason the spray was more floral than the solid which smells more masculine and sandal woody .the tones in this fragrance are definitely unisex -that's nice . my husband likes it on me , and it reminds me of camping,firewood and flowers . I might take it back though due to the strong wood scent that comes and goes .

So I work in a tea store, and so I can't wear perfume. I missed it, and when I was doing a bunch of face stuff the other night I got on the LUSH website to see if I could find a replacement. I fell in love with the Dirty solid fragrance's description, and I went to LUSH determined to get it.

However...they online carry it online. Curses! Thus, I started looking at the solid perfume. I played the Perfume Game with one of the ladies there (it's like at the eye doctor only with smelling instead), and I fell in LOVE with the Breath of God.

It's somehow spicy, woody, and with a hit of citrus at the same time. Literally, most interesting smell in the world. For me, it smelled like adventures. I decided then and there I was buying it. Then, I brought it home, and my boyfriend tried it on. On him, it smelled like wonderful incense and campfires. Two converts, coming right up.

this is literally the most intoxicating fragrance ever! The story behind this fragrance is amazing. Go read it! Words cannot describe this scent. So complex. I wear this when I need to be creative or when I am having a life altering experience. I want to smell this over and over. The name is so fitting.

I bought this perfume in store, looking for something to compliment my favorite products (Seanick Solid Shampoo, Grass Shower Gel, and Rub Rub Rub), and this perfume was the best I could find that reminded me of all of those. I really love the scent, and it does last for 2-3 hours with ample application. The only real issue was that the light blue color seems to stain the skin, I would be wary to apply it near any clothing. The color does fade away from the skin after it is rubbed in (a lot). All in all, I will be buying this again. My daughter thinks this is the most amazingly clean smell of any perfumes I have worn.

I absolutely love this. I purchased it online with only the reviews/description to go on and I am so glad I took the risk. It's unique & androgynous. Combined with my body chemistry it presents on the masculine side of androgyny but that's definitely not something I mind at all. It smells like my grandfather- but in a good way! It makes me think of stepping into his den when I was a little girl... pipe smoke, leather, furniture oil... I can't help but keep sniffing my wrists! It's different, that's for sure but I loved it from the moment I put it on.

Breath of God can only be described as (in my opinion) The Best Smell Ever. It's sort of weird, though. Every whiff is slightly different, like the base scent components are switching off. From what myself and many others can smell, it's like clean water, pepper, melons, freshly cut wood, and many indescribable things. I use it every day, and never fail to get compliments. Some people thought it was a bit overpowering, but I used less and all was good. The scent lasts hours, too. I've discovered that it works for almost anyone's natural scent. Breath of God is definitely one of my favorite Lush products!

I was given this as a gift and told it was a unisex fragrance, which I suppose is true, but to me it smelled very distinctly like a men's deodorant or a men's shampoo. Not a bad one, mind you, just that it had the properties in the scent I've come to associate with many men's fragrances. While it wasn't for me, I can see very easily how it could appeal to many, with it's fresh and potent smell of clean. Great scent, just not for me.

Love it. I am just getting back to Lush products and this scent is just heaven sent. It's not over powering, subtle and clean. I love clean, green, water scent and this is that for me. Please never discontinue this! I really can't afford all those pricey perfumes so your mission really spoke to me.

After reading the reviews i was skeptical but decided to give it a shot and im sorry i did. The second i smelled it i had to close it because it was so strong. I ended giving it to my brother. This is definitely a manly smell. I wouldnt even consider it unisex. I love all of my other lush products but this is absolutely horrible- do not buy!!!

When I went to my local LUSH, one of the salespeople recommended Tuca Tuca and Dirty perfumes. I had both on my wish list until I went back to LUSH and smelled Breath of God. It was just a beautiful scent and I knew I had to have it. Just a great perfume. The only problem is that it's easy to overdo on it cause it has such a hard-to-smell fragrance. I love wearing it, even though it smells a little more like the incense on me than it does in the tube. Please note: it smells different on everyone.

Topnotes of citrus and sandalwood make this a somewhat heavy smell, without being overpowering. Definitely reminiscent of incense. I dig the smell, I find it fresh and energizing. Only complaint is that the tube can get a bit messy - there's no way to retract the stick once pushed up without mashing it down when you put the cap back on, so I often end up applying it from the plastic threading on the side.

I guess I was expecting something more along the lines of Icon's smokiness when the description said incense. It's not that this is bad, it just doesn't stand out when compared to other Lush scents.

When it comes to perfume, I am very picky, and very adventurous. I favor unisex and unusual scents. Until I tried Breath of God, I used a very pricey and exclusive scent - but I love Lush and I was intrigued, plus it was an inexpensive gamble. So I bought it off the Internet without trying it in the store. Well I LOVE this scent and I love the convenience of the solid perfume stick format. So I will be buying Breath of God - again, and again.

I received this solid perfume and I felt like I was transported to another world. It is hard to describe this scent because it is so intense and complex. The best way is to tell you what I visualize when this scent hits my nose; it reminds me of a clear, crisp morning somewhere up high looking out over an untouched land in a far away place. The description of what the perfumer was trying to capture is spot on. It wraps you up and gives you a breath of fresh air at the same time.

Well, I bought this one by accident, the first few times I smelt breath of god, I wasn't so intrigued. It smelt too overpowering just in the tube. I wore it for a few hours, and this scent grew on me. I read some more about it on here, and when it said for him or her, it hit me! ah! It has that masculine/cologne type of scent! This is why I wasn't quite liking the scent. I gave my wrist another whiff, and imagined it was on a guy, and yup! seemed to be just right. I mix it with vanillary, to see if it would be more feminine, but no such luck yet. I may just end up giving this to my boyfriend, great scent for a guy, I wouldn't say the best scent for a girl, unless you like the more of a cologne scent.

I originally tried BOG from a friend who owns it and wasn't a huge fan - it's fairly intense and strong when you smell it in the tube. When I decided to expand my Lush perfume collection, I decided to give it another try (I haven't had the chance to smell very many other options). And I am so glad I did! Although it is still as intense as I remember, it is much nicer on the skin and changes after some warming up. Lasts all day too.

This perfume is by far the best fragrance I've ever used.

I'm new to the lush family and when I read the description on the website, I had to run to the nearest store and check it out for myself.

I was a little skeptical about claims that the scent changes and develops over time. But as I walked around the city after purchasing it, I couldn't stop smelling myself - and every time I did, it smelled a little different. It started out bright and fruity, and slowly grew into the warm earthiness of cedar and sandalwood. The name is totally fitting - all in all I would say this perfume smells like incense, and I love it.

Sidenote: guys should not be put off by the label "perfume." I strongly recommend this to any men looking to add something fresh and distinctive to their collection - it'll make you stand out in a good way.

Breath of God is so rich, subtle, complex, and mysterious that it's really difficult to describe. It's a special perfume that works equally well on men and women and which reacts differently on each individual. I love how this perfume's fragrance evolves and changes throughout the day as I wear it, which allows me to detect different fragrance notes as I go about my business.

Breath of God isn't for everyone, but I would urge everyone to at least TRY it! I didn't think I'd care for it at first, but now it's one of my favorite perfumes.
