Can be used under water in the bath or shower. Rub the bar in a circular motion along all those rough, dry body parts. Massage in the rich butters, rinse gently and air dry (if possible). Tough on rough bottoms

Massage our Buffy body butter all over your wet skin in the bath or shower to make you softer and smooth to the touch, paying special attention to your backside. We add ground rice, almonds and beans to Buffy to act as exfoliants; the rough textures eliminate lumps and bumps and sloughs away dry skin cells to reveal brighter, fresher looking skin. Rinse off the exfoliating bits and pat yourself dry. There's no need for body lotion after a Buffy slaying session, because the cocoa and shea butters keep your skin beautifully smooth, moisturized and soft to the touch.

Features

  • For your buffing pleasure: Our best-selling body butter is so popular we make in two sizes.
  • Rough stuff: Slay your bum, thighs, legs and anywhere you want to smooth.
  • Smooth like butter: Shea butter is moisturizing, emollient and incredibly softening on skin.

Let me start off by saying, I am 24 years old, African American, female and I have battled Eczema my entire life. My skin is extremely dry and I would have to put on lotion about 4 to 5 times/day only to have what is considered "normal skin". I've gone to countless doctors, who have prescribed regimens consisting of steroid creams, putting moisturizers on while wrapping my legs up with plastic wrap overnight, oatmeal baths...etc. I've done it all NOTHING worked. A friend told me to try the Buffy bar, I was skeptical because to me nothing else was left to try. So, the Lush clerk did an in-store demonstration. Instantly!, Instantly! (No, I don't think you understand...after 24 years of trying different products...INSTANTLY!) my skin was soft. I am completely Amazed at how my skin has completely transformed over the past 3 weeks of using the Buffy bar. I now only have to apply lotion once a day and I am no longer ashamed/embarrassed of my skin. The Buffy bar has crushed almonds in it, it can be a bit rough on the skin, however, it doesn't bother me. I bought my mother the same bar, the course nature of the bar is to much for her so she uses the King of skin body butter. Which is basically, the Buffy bar without the roughness and chopped exfoliation pieces, just pure moisturizer for the skin. The smell is similar to the smell of pure Shea butter (not the best in the world, however, I don't mind because it moisturizes my skin, the smell is the least of my worries. I just put on some perfume or body spray after I shower). Rarely, do I write reviews unless it's a product I truly believe in. So, I just want to Thank YOU LUSH...for giving me Hope because I am extremely self-conscious about my skin. However, now I am learning my skin is beautiful. I am going to buy your products for the rest of my life! :-)

This is an expensive product, and I'm a little disappointed that it is disappearing so quickly. That said, it's disappearing because I'm using it A LOT! I have a rare genetic condition that makes my skin super soft and elastic--and also sensitive and prone to dryness. After scratching the &@!! out of my boyfriend first, I learned to swipe gently.

As a decades-long devotee of an entirely different moisturizing product, I was skeptical that this one could possibly be moisturizing enough to work alone. And, with my sensitive skin, I rarely exfoliate. But this is a winner on both counts--I can use it daily without a problem, and I haven't had to slather on additional creams or lotions.

The only real negative (aside from its short-lived nature) is the smell. Not bad, but I'm all about yummy smells. I don't like perfume--too strong--so I rely on bath and body products to scent myself. This one is a little clinical. But--followed by a generous dusting of Candy Fluff, I was inspired enough by my first Lush experience to order $150 worth of additional stuff online!

I included another body butter in that order--I'm sold on the concept, but I think I just haven't found "the one." Even so, it's a lovely product, and I'm certainly enjoying it. As a dedicated "green" consumer, I especially appreciate the packaging (or lack thereof!)

Comments about Buffy Body Butter:

I have recently decided to discontinue my use with Bath & Body Works products in an effort to do something beside just making my skin smell perfumed. I also recently started to research the ingredients in my skin care regimen and being that your skin is your largest organ, I can only see buying all natural products from here on out. First off, I have difficult skin; sensitive, dry, rough, scaly, and basically a daily hassle. Shaving this skin is also a sad story. Sooo much money spent on chemical ridden creams and gels that didn't do much. Not to mention the struggle of finding decent razors. Little did I realize that if I only had a good foundation (healthy skin), suddenly everything would be easier. Having used this bar for two days, I have already stopped using shaving cream all together! You read correct. I forgot to mention, my skin gets extremely irritated if I use a razor with less than 4 blades plus moisturizing strips, and on top of that, any scented or colored lotions or gels or ANY substance beside tend skin, will cause a major flare up on my skin. So I had literally no way of moisturizing my skin. Not even baby oil. My skin would be on fire if I did that. After using The Olive Branch body wash, I use this all over and then shave. And after my shower my skin is UNBELIEVABLY soft and glowing. I might even be considering a 3 blade razor. If you have problem skin, this is your answer. Yes it doesn't smell AMAZING but if your quality of life is affected by unsightly skin, buy this. NOW.

I wasn't sure if I should buy this product or not, but I can already tell I should of bought the bigger size. Not just because I can tell it won't last long, but it feels so great putting it on, it's like a massage, I just couldn't stop. I can't tell just yet if it will reduce cellulite or not, but it feels so good rubbing it on, i'll die trying!

I bought the smaller bar and use this every day after I shower; I step out to the side from under the water and scrub this on my arms and legs and am completely sold to it! It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth without the stickiness I've felt with other lotions in the past. I highly recommend it! It's a bit pricey, but it's so worth it! I will probably buy the bigger one next time

I love this product so much! This has made me a LUSH believer. Now Im hooked on so many products but guess what?? My skin has never felt better. This one though (BUFFY) is one of my favorites. I use it after I wash my hair of course with all the solid shampoos and conditioners and I cant not tell you I always wash my body with WOOSH. So after all thats done and Im ready to hop out I pull the water away from my body and go to town with buffy and I scrub it all over my body than I even rub it in a little more with my hands after my whole body is covered. I think it just adds a little extra exfoliating and moisture to my skin. I wash all thats left with hot water and than hop out of the shower and mostly try to pat or air dry. Im telling you this is a no brainer and to buy a couple of them so you will always have back ups! You wont regret it. Also I have sensitive skin to most scrubs hurt or burn but this one is perfect! Enjoy like I said it works wonders! :)

I have to say I really like this product. I use it once a week Since it's very exfoliating. I don't want to over do it. Plus this product is a little pricey . This bar is crazy amazing moisturizing. I use it in the morning while taking a shower and I swear I feel so silky soft throughout the day. U Definitely do not need to put on a lotion or cream after using this product. I love how the water just beads up on your skin. Unfortunately I couldn't give this product five stars because I'm not thrilled with the smell. But as a good weekly intense body moisturizer this is the product for you. This product is a bit on the greasy side I don't really mind it.

Also I have my husband addicted to this product!

I never moisturize after I get out of the shower. It feels greasy for a bit, but I prefer it over the wet feeling lotion has for awhile. It absorbs after 15-20 minutes and that's coupled with Ro's Argan. My skin feels like a baby's skin. It's so lovely. The smell is super light and super LUSH.

            Comments about Buffy Body Butter:

Where do I begin? This is my favorite Lush product ever! I have kp, and have tried dozens of products. Scrubs have always made the problem worse, so I was skeptical about using this. I read all the reviews raving about how this helps with bad kp breakouts, so I was willing to give it a go. OMG! My arms and legs have NEVER been this smooth! My kp normally gives me the prickliest skin ever. I think I have snagged my panty hose on the bumps before! I have used Buffy about 5 times now, and I cannot believe the difference in my skin!

I also have very dry skin on top of having kp. I have two chronic health issues that dry my skin out, so normally I need to constantly lotion my arms and legs with the thickest creams I can find. I can't believe that after using Buffy a few times, I don't need to moisturize after I take a shower! I take hot showers too which I know I am not supposed to do with dry, kp skin.

I think what makes this work over other exfoliators for kp is that as it is sloughing off the dead skin, it is immediately adding the moisture back to your skin. There is never a point while using it that you are stripping the moisture away.

            Some tips on use:
Don't use the bar to scrub your skin. I just swipe the bar once over each part of my skin, and then I use my hands to massage it in. A little goes a long way with this bar. I always turn off the water in the shower before I pull out the bar, and I put it away before turning it back on. This bar will melt quickly in the running water, so keep it out of the stream!

I keep mine in one of the body butter tins Lush sells. I put it on its side on my bathroom counter and let it dry before closing it up. If you don't have time for it to air dry, just blot it dry with a towel or some tissue. I have had ZERO issues with it melting in the tin by doing this, and it will extend the life of this pricey wonder.

This bar is best used before bed. It does take a bit for it to soak into your skin, but by morning, my skin is so creamy, soft and hydrated with no greasy feeling at all. Since this doesn't leave a strong scent on your skin, you can also use Lush's vanilla puff powder or silky underwear over it to soak up any excess moisture you don't want.

My shower will never be complete without Buffy! I will always have an extra bar on hand!

              Comments about Buffy Body Butter:

One day I will write a book called "All The Things I Learned Watching My Husband Shave". That book will include this body bar. Pre-Shave oil is a product my husband has been toutng to me for years, but I could never get into it because it sounds messy and gross. Enter Buffy, the perfect form factor. I got it in a gift package for my birthday, and I actually thought it was soap. Imagine my surprise when I got no suds, but instead this amazing combination of aggressive exfoliating chunks and smoothing oils. It felt sooo good! Then I decided to shave. I had previously discovered that the Creamed Almond and Coconut Smoothie is an amazing shaving cream, so I lathered up and went about it. OMG. Just like my husband promised, the oil softens the hair and skin, provides a layer of protection against nicks, and allows the razor to glide smoothly over the skin. The added exfoliation of the bar also helps to prevent razor burn (just rinse gently to avoid shaving with the beads still on your skin). The end result? Gorgeously smooth, soft, happy legs!

                  Comments about Buffy Body Butter:

Buffy and I are pals. We met about three weeks ago and after our first shower together I knew we were meant to be. I doubt I will ever shower without Buffy anytime soon, because with Buffy my showers are now complete. Buffy exfoliates, moisturizes...leaves me feeling like a new woman. Ive even let Buffy touch my face, now THATS love!

Seriously, though...its fantastic. I dont really see how someone could leave a negative review about this product unless they just dont enjoy smooth, soft, dewy skin. Ugh! Feels so good! I use it in the shower everyday...whole entire body. Even my armpits! I can skip the lotion right after the shower (which I could never do before).

The smell of the bar itself is light and wonderful. I do like, however, that it doesnt leave a strong smell on my skin after drying off. I can go ahead with perfume or scented lotion without the fear of smelling like a brothel.

I used to suffer from Keratosis Pilaris, those tiny bumps on the back of my upper arms...not any more. This magical bar of goodness has done away with them. Im so happy, and I recommend this to all of my friends...and what the heck, even my enemies. Life is too short not to indulge yourself in a little LUSH.

It's true, you will have a very slight (tolerable) greasy feeling after using this. I suggest using it right before bedtime. Overnight, the awesomeness will soak in and you will wake up with amazing skin. I wouldn't recommend using this in the morning because you will walk around with a greasy feeling all day. It works better than any lotion I have ever tried.

                    Comments about Buffy Body Butter:

I'm new to LUSH and am not a regular reviewer of products so you know this one has got to be good...

I walked into LUSH for the first time earlier this week with the intention of walking out with a sample or two of a mask that might help calm my spastic 25-year-old-suddenly-I-think-I'm-a-greasy-acne-laden-15-year-old skin. Shout out to Ingrid at the Valley Fair San Jose location who treated me to an in store facial; her customer service and enthusiam for the products was exceptional. While talking about what kind of skin I have, I mentioned I'd never found anything that helped calm the keratosis on the backs of my arms and she came back with Buffy. I'm skeptical about most (ok, all) exfoliators that claim to soften skin, yadda yadda. But, I decidd to give it a shot. After only ONE use in the shower that night the redness and splotchiness on my arms was GONE. It was INSTANT. In 25 year, I have never had any product do this for me.

So here's the scoop: I use it in the shower and just rub th actualbar onto my skin. Make sure you point the shower head away from you as the watter wil quickly melt the bar (also be sure not to sqeeze it too tightly in your hand because it will melt). I thn rub it in in circular motions for extra exfoliation on the spots that need it. Rinse off and PAT DRY. Your skin may feel prtty greasy afterward but give it a few minutes and it will absorb. You skin will feel soft, morsturized and rich. If you have keratosis, eczama or chapped skin, this will be a lifesaver. I used to use unscented alba lotion with a fw drops of lomi lomi oil for deep moisturization after ach shower but I think I can pretty much do away with that routine now. No lotion will ever be needed as long as this guy is in my posession!

One more comment: storage may be an issu. If left in your shower, I reccommend you break it into smaller pieces so that it lasts longer. Mine actually melted during the day because it sat in th sun on the window sill (really??) so play it safe and gt a tin to store it in or just rmove it from the shower and kp in a cool, dry place.

I really like this product. My skin feels smooth, and greatly improved from a moisture standpoint. The only downside, it doesn't last long (and I do put it in a tin) and it makes one heck of a mess in my tub! Aside from those two things, lol, it's a fantastic product.

I'm still on my first Buffy bar; I bought the smaller one and went back shortly after to get the larger one. I wish the bars would last a little longer, but it has lasted about what I expected so far (I mean, I have been using it with every shower!!).

Just wishful thinking! I hope I can continue to afford this because I really love it. There's no need to slather lotion on after my shower and wait to try and it smells great all day. I haven't seen any improvement with my keratosis pilaris as of yet, but only time will tell.

The first thing I noticed was how great it was at exfoliating my skin. It feels amazing going on, I have especially dry skin. I use it during a bath, then rinse off and enjoy. It leaves your skin luxuriously smooth and I find myself not even needing to use lotion.

The feel of this bar is very luxurious - creamy but with the ground aduki beans which tells you it is exfoliating as well as softening your skin. I love using this at my nighttime shower before bed. Makes my skin nice and smooth and there will be no dead skin in my sheets the next morning. Win Win!

If this doesn't last a long time your using too much. It's not soap. You don't need to rub it on every part of your body. Rub it down your arms and legs then, set the bar down. Rub what's left on your body and your good.

I have dry, itchy, sensitive skin. I use this in the shower at night. I feel like it takes too long to absorb to work well in the morning - it might get my clothes greasy and feel too heavy - but at night it's luxurious and soothing.

I use it every time I shower (which is every-other-day) on my bottom, legs, and arms- and my bar lasts well over a month. I keep it outside of the shower so it doesn't melt from the steam. I have also found that if I have the bathroom fan on it isn't affected by any steam at all. I hope this helps

This bar goes pretty fast. My husband and I both use it about once a week. You don't want to over exfoliate your body. I estimate that it lasted me about two months But my husband and I only used it once a week.

I wouldn't recommend it as it's a heavy moisturizer and it may make your face feel greasy or oily.

I plan on using this daily for my arms to help treat my Karatosis Pilaris which are those annoying red bumps some people get on their upper arms...but it really depends on the sensitivity of your skin. The bar is pretty rough so if you have sensitive skin I would maybe do every other day or maybe a couple times a week.

We don't generally recommend using the body butters to shave, simply because they are very thick, and meant to work as an in-shower lotion. Because of their texture, they are a little bit too thick for a razor, and could potentially clog the blades. We do have a number of shaving creams that are formulated specifically for use with razors!

I found it helped the ones that get caught under the very first layer of skin. I don't know about deeper ones. You might want to consult a skin care expert (ie: doctor or esthetician) first.

Buffy can definitely help improve the texture of the skin by giving a good exfoliation as well as stimulation for circulation in this area which can be helpful for improving the skin's natural detoxification processes. Give it a try!

There are no cleansing ingredients in the Buffy to remove dirt, oil, or bacteria, so I'd still recommend using a bar soap or shower gel before the Buffy. You will find the Buffy helps to slough away dead skin cells, but I wouldn't consider it an antibacterial or cleansing product.

no you can't. it's not cleansing, it's literally a exfoiliating lotion bar.

It doesn't lather, and it has seeds..plus it will not last very long if you use on your whole body, so I would say no.

Well I don't but I don't see why not, I use it with {depending on what mood I am in} Karma/Sultana of Soap/Bohemian/Alkmaar or whatever wonderful Lush Soap I happen to have in my stash.

Eh, you could I suppose...but it doesn't lather AT ALL, and as it sticks to the skin, it doesn't really remove dirt and oils. I wouldn't recommend it. But its perfect post soap.

It definitely leaves the skin clean and fresh smelling after you use it, so I would say yes it can be used as a soap. Just an exfoliating soap.

This product 'body butter' is mainly used to soften skin. Keratosis is a skin condition where your hair follicles harden. This may help with the condition but it will not cure it. There is prescription medication to help with Keratosis.

Yes- many find it helps to exfoliate away the red bumps typically experienced with Keratosis Pilaris, and helps keep the skin moisturized and smooth.

I find that it works better than any other exfoliation or moisturization product I have ever tried!

Yes! I loved it for those pesky bumps. I used it dry and then rinsed of. It will leave you very red because of the extreme exfoliation but it doesn't last long and it gets it much smoother that way.

I used Buffy for the first time yesterday after leaving my Kertaosis alone for years (I had a prescription for it for a while but never faithfully used it as it didn't help that much). In one day, I've seen a noticeable difference in my skin! My bumps are disappearing and are less red! It's kind of amazing. I'm pretty new to Lush but I know I'll be buying Buffy again when I use up my bar!

I have been trying all sorts of products for my KP for years and years, things prescribed by doctors too and NOTHING ever really worked... Expect for now. This bar is AMAZING. After one use, just ONE, my KP was reduced by 50%. If you want your body burden gone buy this product.
