This was great, but don't trust the pictures. It had nice little flakes of blueberry skin that left little blue streaks when I rubbed it in. It's definitely not pink! I would describe it as grey with a hint of blue. From the video above, I think it should be creamy, but(and maybe I just got a bad pot) mine was thicker than play-doh and I would compare it to air dry clay. If you thin it down with some ice cold water, it feels amazing and goes on easier and lasts a lot longer. It makes my skin smooth and my pimples virtually disappear(I am 12 going on 13 so this is a huge problem, especially near my forehead) it's like an eraser for redness and smells pretty good, although I don't know where the talk of roses from the video came from. So, this mask is great and now that my pot is empty I will gladly buy a new one. Don't expect it to be true to picture or description or video because it's not.

i really love this product! i always get it at my nearest lush, its so calming, i have really sensative pale skin, but it gets ruined because i have these red patches on my cheeks, i use the cosmetic catastrophie every 2 or 3 days before i shower and it helped them go away! really a miracle product

After a bad reaction to Angels on Bare Skin, I was looking for a quick way to get my skin back on track. The Lush sales associate recommended either this face mask, or Cosmetic Warrior, stating that Catastrophe Cosmetic would calm my face, and Cosmetic Warrior would zap my massive breakout. I opted to get to the "root of the problem," and purchased Catastrophe.

Now, I won't say that this mask was completely useless: it HAS softened up my skin. But it really didn't do anything for my breakouts. In fact, two weeks later, my skin is still as bad. It's also done nothing for my red patches.

Would I use this again? Probably not. But if you're looking for something very mild to soothe your skin, I'd recommend this mask for you. :)
Also: if Lush were to make a perfume with this scent, I would be eccstatic! (My entire apartment concurs: this stuff smells amazing!)

I recieved this as a sample from my local Lush store. I was going to buy a whole pot, but decided not to at the last minute. Boy am I glad I changed my mind. I went home and used it that same night I got it, so it was not expired. The mask was very dry in the container and I had to add a little water to even get it to spread on my face. Although the smell was quite refreshing, I could not leave it on my face for the whole ten minutes. It was so dry and flaky that it was getting all over everything! As I was washing the mask off, I noticed that it was leaving a weird film or residue on my skin. It made me feel as though the mask wasn't rinsing off all the way. I had to completely rewash my face with my normal facewash to get it to feel soemwhat okay. I am very disappointed, I usually have no problem with trying new Lush products, and love everything! Thumbs down...

I'm not sure what this product was supposed to do, I found it a little silt-like, so there was residue when I washed it off. The blueberry smell is great, though! Yuuuuum blueberries!

This product was amazing on my skin! It cleared up my acne, and left my skin shine-free, which I love. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of the chunks of blueberry in the product. I found that they flaked off my face and made the mask messier than it should have been. I think in the future I'll stick with the cupcake mask, but this is definitely a great mask an works wonders on oily skin.

Yesterday I got a slight sunburn on my face during an early morning stroll. Later that day, I had dinner in DC and since I know there is a Lush in Germantown, I figured I would stop by and see if they could give me something to help with my mild sunburn. The SA recommended Catastophe Cosmetic due to the calamine powder in it. When I got home, I put this on my face and I fell in love! CC smells like fresh-picked blueberries and the texture is so divine. After I took the mask off, most the redness was gone and my skin felt amazingly soft. Another homerun by Lush!

I use this mask every Wed night and it is by far my favorite night of the week. I can tell an immediate difference in my skin as soon as I wash it off- it's like I have a natural glow. Plus (especially in the summer) it feels so good since it is cold from the refrigerator. I started using this product (along with Angles on Bare Skin) in May and haven't had a breakout since.

Whenever I pop into Lush I always make a point of picking this stuff up! It is SO softening and it calms any redness I may have at the time. When I wash it off, it leaves my skin lovely and glowing. Plus, I love the fact that blueberries really benefit your skin -- gotta love those antioxidants!

Uhmmmm... This dyed my face blue. I really didn't like it because it was so drying even for my super oily teenage skin, but I got another one when I had collected five black pots to return just in case I had gotten a bad batch. I'm glad I got a second batch, because the second one didn't leave a blue stain, although it did leave a slightly chalky residue. It took a lot of effort to completely wash off the residue, but the efforts were worth it!
My face was soft, one color, and had a matte finish. (If you have oily skin like I do, you know how wonderfully exciting having a matte face is!).
This product got three stars instead of four because of the batch that dyed my skin blue. For me this isn't a life saver, but I will be buying it on a regular basis.

I am so in love with this product. I use it about twice a week after cleansing. I'll first dab on a little full of grace serum and then put the mask on top. The result is amazing. My skin feels soooo soft and redness is instantly reduced. This mask is very gentle so it's perfect for inflammed or sensitive skin.

I've been buying this all summer to help my complexion. It feels so wonderful on your skin, especially when the mask is cool and it's hot everywhere else. I've been so grateful.

Just a note, I use this twice a week, sometimes three times, and one pot will usually last be about seven uses. I think it's a really great value and perfect for just about any skin type. The smell is delicious! There aren't huge blueberries in the pot like included in the crazy picture. Just thought I would point that out.

This stuff saved my life. I usually have pretty much flaswless skin (due to my twice daily use of herbalism and imperialis). I pamper my face and take pride in it. No oil, no dry spots, no breakouts.

Well, I left my small town for a week to visit San Fransisco. My skin went straight to hell! Not sure if it was the climate change or the big city pollution, but I was so happy that there was a Lush right down the street. I went in and complained to the wonderful sales associates and they pointed me to this stuff. I usually get all my Lush online because I don't have a local store so I had never used any of the face masks. So I just took their word and I am so glad I did! After 2 uses my skin was totally restored to its usual state.

I am a serial exfoliator, so I would have never tried such a silky smooth product on my own. This stuff is so soft and smooth and calming, yet it still blasts all the grime out of my pores. And it is filled with blueberries, which have antioxidants. The woman told me that would help my skin combat all the air pollutants of the city that my face wasn't used to.

The only downside, which is barely even a dowside: its gets very messy when it dries on your face. I generally leave masks on too long, but this stuff starts crumbling off your face as soon as it gets a little dry. So be careful, stay near a sink, and don't wear black. Every change of expression and it powders and rains off your face! Haha

When i first applied it to my face, my gosh it was such a creamy texture it felt really nice on my skin. If you leave the mask on for 10+ minutes it will get flaky! When it dries it reminds me baby powder and after you wash it off your face, your face becomes so SMOOTH!

I bought this mask because I tend to break out during my period and I was hoping to avoid this at all costs. Last month I tried Cosmetic Warrior which I didn't dislike, but I still broke out and it smells funky (it has garlic in it) so I wasn't itching to try it again. I have been using this mask for the last four days and so far I haven't broken out! My face always looks so bright after I use it. If it didn't expire so fast, I'd make sure to have it on hand all the time! I'm also noticing that the hyper-pigmentation on my chin is looking less noticeable, thanks to the brightening properties. I also seem to get many more uses out of these than other people, maybe I don't use enough but I get WAY more than four uses out of these. I could easily get another four.

I loved this produt... at first! When iI first used this I instantley loved it. It cleared up the small breakouts I had . But about the fourth time I used this it was giving me a little acne. But other than that I love it.

Wow. Just - wow. This is the first mask I tried from Lush. I went in angry adn dry skin, my jawline breaking out painfully for no reason and this mask was the best suggestion ever. Seriously. This mask is super gentle, is smells awesome and my skin improved within one week of bringing this product into my life. I will never go with out it!

I needed something to stop my face from breaking out. I told the lady i had oily sensitive skin and she gave me this heaven in a jar. It feels amazing to put on my face when its cold, it makes my skin SO soft, but there is always a little bit left no matter how hard i scrub it off, lotion gets rid of it though. It even got rid of my acne scars which shocked me because the products i used made for that couldnt even do it. I will never use anything else.

This will leave your skin feeling clean, fresh and soft. It's not overly moisturizing, but it also won't strip or irritate your skin. The calamine was a big selling point for me - it really soothes.

This was amazing!! I used Cupcake which worked well but I wanted something else to compare to and the lady at the store recommended this one and when i put it on, HALLELUJAH my skin felt refreshed and the lady said that it's great for oily skin which i have and it sort of mattes the oil. Definitely going to buy this!!!! Also this smells devine :)

Hands down the best mask I have ever used. I have tried so many masks because I have VERY oily, acne-prone skin and have never found anything to even out my skin and make it look as amazing as this does. I just ran out of my first jar so I am definitely repurchasing it again soon!
