My skin has always had the misfortune of being both dry and sensitive. I spent a lot of years looking for the right products. Thank goodness I found LUSH. Celestial is the best moisturizer I have discovered and I have tried a lot of brands (including all of the fanciest ones out there). Many worked for a while but then stopped being as effective or started making my skin break out. Celestial has been rock solid. It's as perfect a moisturizer now as it was then.

This moisturizer is the exact definition of its name. I have combination oily skin and I still love this. I've hooked my mum on it too, and she has dry, more mature skin. I am very fair and extremely sensitive and have had no problems with this. It is a pleasure to apply, with it's lovely texture and even application. No breakouts/allergies at all, even with my acne prone skin. I use this with Angels on Bare skin, but if I need extra cleaning I use Fresh Farmacy. It gives a squeaky clean feel on my skin, so this cream balances it out. I am a Lush convert. Love you Celestial.

I've been using this moisturizer for quite some time now and I always liked it. The last time I ran out, however, I decided to try Imperialis just for kicks. It wasn't terrible, but for my red/sensitive/dry skin it just wasn't good enough and I noticed my skin getting worse. Half way through the pot, I ran back to Lush to pick up Celestial and IMMEDIATELY my skin was back to it's proper self! I personally love the scent, and no other moisturizer has ever made my skin feel so great! (and trust me, I've looked all over and spent some big bucks to find the right one!) I don't find it greasy at all as long as you aren't using too much. Like most Lush products, a little goes a long way!

I highly highly highly recommend this product to anyone with dry, sensitive, or easily irritated skin. It's saved my face!

p.s. I happen to love the Breath of Fresh Air toner with this, it's the best combo I've found so far!

Before this I NEVER used moisturizer on my face. If I did it would leave my face covered in eczema! As soon as I started using Celestial my skin cleared up instantly! This stuff is amazing!

So, I really can't believe that I am writing YET ANOTHER review about a LUSH product. I never used to write reviews! I have been a loyal Lushie for years, but I have just recently gotten back into Lush skincare, and it has taken a lot of trial and error to find the right combination for my skin. I used to think that I had combination-oily, acne-prone, slightly sensitive skin. Now, I have found out what my skin really is. It's combination-dry, highly sensitive skin.

Over the years I have used a broad array of acne products to assist in removing acne I didn't really have. Sounds crazy, doesn't it? A few months ago, I started using Dark Angels to fix some problems with acne that I was experiencing. I had red dots on my cheeks, chin and forehead that I thought were caused by dirt and oil. The first few weeks after using Dark Angels my skin cleared. Then, it reacted to the harshness of the product. WHOA...rash! (Disclaimer: Dark Angels is not harsh. It's just too harsh for me. People with acne-prone, oily skin would call DA a miracle product, because it is!) So, after that I switched to Fresh Farmacy, feeling that I had no where else to turn. I also incorporated AOBS into my nightly routine, so that I could still use an exfoliating product. The rash went down...slightly.

Then, (choir singing) I went into my local LUSH store to look for some of my must-have goodies, and my favorite sales associate told me that she remembered that I had mentioned that I was currently experiencing skin sensitivity. She recommended Celestial. I took a small sample home and immediately noticed a difference in my skin. A week later I went back to my local store and bought the full product. My skin has not looked this young, clear, and healthy since high school.(I'm currently 26!) LUSH saved me and helped me to realize that I was treating the wrong things. I was breaking out because my skin was mad at me for not handling it with care.

I'm so glad I found the right products for me! Thank you, LUSH!

Finally a face cream that doesn't irritate my skin. It took me a while to realize my skin type. It's dry. And sensitive. I rubbed my cheek on my black top walking into work one day and then looked at my shoulder to see a bunch of dried skin. Gross. I had avoided moisturizers that my face desperately needed simply because every time I tried a new one the inevitable happened, redness and blotchyness. Went into Lush and the SA recommended this one. Fantastic.... smells great, works, and the pot lasts a while so I get my money worth. Hooray!

This product is AMAZING. I have very sensitive, dry and acne-prone skin, which makes product buying difficult. I have to find something non-irritating and super hydrating that doesn't clog pores, and this is IT. I basically don't have any dry skin anymore, after using this product for several months, and I can use harsher cleansers/acne treatments/toners and follow up with celestial, and it doesn't dry me out or cause irritation. It smells amazing and really comforting, like vanilla. Even though the pot looks small, I literally tap my fingertip into the pot once for my face and once for my neck, and that's all the product I need, so it lasts me a while, and my skin looks healthy and glowing. This has been a lifesaver! I just wish there was a LUSH store closer to me so I didn't have to reorder it online every time I run low! I'm 21, so I can't comment on any effects on wrinkles or aging.

The only bad thing I can think of to say about it is that after repurchasing, the thickness of the product seems to vary from very runny to very thick(although I did buy one in America, one in the UK and one in Holland, which might account for that). I prefer it on the runny side, it feels less greasy, though I have to use less of the thicker version.

Let me be clear: this isn't a bad product for the right skin. My skin is prone to break-outs and is oily. This cream was recommended by the store clerk; however, it is not made for oily, break-out prone skin. I used Gorgeous for a week before I started using this (free sample) and the moment I started using Celestial, I broke out. It was much oilier than Gorgeous, just obviously a fraction of the cost. I do not recommend this product for oily skin or if you are prone to break-outs.

This moisturizer has quickly become my favorite. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but I still don't like to use products that may be irritating. I use Celestial after I shower at night, so it has all night to soak in and moisturize. Usually I put on Full of Grace underneath Celestial, and when I wake up, my skin is so smooth and soft. Just one finger swipe is enough to cover my whole face, so I know the pot will last a long time. The scent is very light and pleasant, and it doesn't linger too long. I highly recommend Celestial!

I've been using this product with Dark Angels for three weeks now. I have adult acne and sensitive skin. So when I try to correct the acne, my skin dries out and gets red. So it was acne or dry skin. A lose/lose situation. BUT with this moisturizer my troubles are gone! I use it at night after I wash and tone my face and I could not be happier. I love the smell (which also disappears after it absorbs in) and the soothing and smooth feeling it leaves on my skin.

Celestial and I have a Love and Hate Relationshiop. When I first started using the product, I thought I had found my other half! My face always becomes dry after I get out the shower, but when I apply celestial, my face is moisturized the rest of the day and SMELLS SO GOOD and I don't feel like my face is cracked, ESPECIALLY IN THE WINTER!!! I bought the small jar couple months ago and after 3 weeks I began to break out, I thought it was just stress but I also stopped using the cream because I had no idea what it was! A week later my face was cleared up. About 2 weeks Lush opened a new store in White Plains and I decided to give celestial another try and bought many other products as well... I woke up yesterday and I broke out again!!!! I am NO LONGER giving Celestial another try! I wish I wouldnt be breaking out. BUT thas kind of a deal breaker!

I like many others here on the forum, started off with cheap, drugstore moisturizers, and will never go back. I have stress acne-prone, red, dry, sensitive skin, and this is perfect for me. I have had noticably less acne than before I began using it, even though it is not oil-free, and it quenches my skin withought making it greasy. I know the smell bothers some people, but for me, it disappears quickly after I put it on. I try to use paraben-free prodcuts, and even though this moisturizer has two, I will make an exception. I bought by tub a bit under a year ago and still have tons left. I will definitely repurchase!

Although I didn't really like the fact that this stuff was sort of greasy, I LOVE what it did for my skin! It was excellent at softening as well as soothing, and while I used this stuff my skin looked excellent. Plus, the smell was wonderful -- sort of like vanilla I would absolutely buy this again!

I really liked the idea of this, it just wasn't for me. i got a sample (a very generous one) and i liked it but didn't love it.

it does have a very pleasant light smell, and it was either this or angels on bare skin that really evened out my skin tone, but it took FOREVER to sink in. even if it was moisturizing my skin well, i couldn't tell because there was a film of grease on my skin. it just kinda made me feel like my face wasn't freash and that something was clogging my pores. if you don't mind that clogged feeling, this is a good one for you, but if not, i might try imperialis.

basically, it does genarally make your skin feel better and didn't irritate me at all. I'm pretty sure it even out my skin tone and my skin felt good the next morning, it just wasn't the clean casual moisturizer i was looking for.

I have sensitive acne prone skin, so once I find a product that works I stick with it. For the last year, I have been using a drug store lotion brand in the morning and night. I was in fear of changing it in case of a breakout or allergic reaction. I was given a sample of this by the lovely ladies at my local Lush location, and was a bit unsure. I first tried it in the morning and I have to say I was unhappy with the results, it felt a bit greasy and my skin did not absorb it like my over the counter brand, although it smells amazing. Not one to be discouraged, I tried before bed after my usual cleansing routine and was much happier with the results. I wake up with soft even skin and can happy throw out my other lotion. Thank you Lush!

I really don't know what I would do without Lush's skincare line. Especially this moisturizer-it's almost like it was made exactly for me! It just works that well.
First off, my skin before using this moisturizer (or before my Lush skincare regimen) was a bit of a mess. I broke out frequently and suffered from dry patches along my mouth, nose, and chin. However, my T-zone was oily and the moisturizer I had at the time only made things worse as it was very greasy.
Celestial has since fixed all of my problems! I usually use Fresh Farmacy, Tea Tree Water, and then follow up with Celestial nightly and it works wonders. This combination has left my skin supple, even, and acne-free! It's lightweight and non-greasy and you only need a few dabs for an even spread. This is definitely a must-I'm sure I'll never be without it!

I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin. I experimented with drug store brand and expensive name brand moisturizers (3 times the price of celestial) to which none of them worked, as my skin would become very irritated with redness and stinging. This moisturizer was a relief. I love it. It smeels great and is soothing. I can use mix it with other facial products (vitamin c and glycolic acid) and it still soothing!

My skin became extremely sensitive during my pregnancy. This moisturizer is a true life saver! My skin was red and itchy. After only 1 day of use I was able to feel less itchy and the redness started to to away. I have oily/combination skin and have no issue with excess shine when I use this during the day. I love this cream and will continue to use it even when my skin is fully healed.
