Indigenous Climate Action
Indigenous Climate Action is a coalition of Indigenous individuals that represent different organizations and communities. They came together with a shared vision and mission to provide Indigenous leaders with knowledge about climate change and climate policy. They also ensure that Indigenous voices and values are guiding the climate solutions of the future so they will be sustainable and just, with legal foundations that will be upheld for generations to come.
How We Helped
Charity Pot’s contribution helped to launch the first ever Indigenous Peoples Meeting of Climate Change in Edmonton, Alberta, Treaty 6 Territory. This brought more than 100 Indigenous Leaders together to start a conversation for an Indigenous Climate Action Strategy.
