This was the very first LUSH product I've ever tried, and solid toothpaste is definitely a new one on me!

As other Toothy Tab reviews say: you crunch it up a little, introduce a wet toothbrush, and go to town. The flavor takes a little getting used to (and it initially tasted more strongly of baking soda than anything floral), but it wasn't unpleasant. And talk about foam! That's the way we Yanks like our personal cleansing products-- nice and fluffy. My mouth felt clean-- nay, *polished*-- for several hours after brushing.

I'm going to Ft. Lauderdale on Spring Break, and plan on packing these along. I anticipate less hassle with airport security compared to having a tube of paste in my bag. Besides, it'll be a great opportunity to show this fun product to friends and family!

when i smelled these at first i thought they smelled like delicious rose jam, so i bought them. when i first used them, i tasted the flavor on my tongue and it tasted kind've gross in my opinion. this was probably the kaolin clay or something but i didnt get too much rose flavor. to my surprise, they created a really cleansing foam and i really like them on a first go. if anything, the taste when it hits your tongue is definitely off putting, but overall, i think results matter most and my breath had a rosyish smell afterwards

It takes a little getting used to with this product, I do advise those who haven't tried it to keep an open mind to them because after using Lush I haven't thought of going anywhere else to get any of my bath and body products except from here! Of course, every product will have its pros and cons due to difference in opinion, however, I simply recommend this product because initially you may or may not see the results until you gradually get used to the product. For me, I tested this product out yesterday and my breath did have a smidge of rose in it, so I definitely enjoyed this product! Especially because it is absolutely cute and makes me want to brush my teeth more than usual! (lol you can tell that I'm obsessed!) :)

I picked Chou Chou I Love You right away when I smelled the box.
It's sweet and flowery. Reminded me of a sweet scented rose perfume candy.
When I put it in my mouth, I was expecting sweet flavor as it smelled...but nope! no sweet flavor for this XP it was kinda interesting taste. Tasted like baking soda(little salty also?) with strange smelly perfume. And it was very foamy. After brushing my tooth with this, it surely smelled like rose!
So if you don't mind the flavor and the foamy moment.., try it!

I have very sensitive teeth and had to quit using alternative toothpastes. I did try this one out becasue if it didn't work I could get my money back (kudos on lush for a great return policy!). Well to my surprise I have no sensitivty problems. I live out of my suitcase and so I am ALWAYS on the go. I keep my toothbrush in my computer bag and hated having to go through airport security becasue of tooth paste gel restrictions. With the t.tabs I don't have to worry about that. Sometimes I am gone for months at a time overseas and I can bring a years supply of shampoo, conditioner (I used all bar shampoo and conditioner from lush) and t.tabs that weighs a very small FRACTION of what three months of shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste would be. At the counter whilst buying them I asked for a little paint pot (I think that is what they call them and I can fit I think 21 in there which is really 42 uses since I use only half a tab. The airtight container keeps them fresher longer.

I also found that when I wake up in the morning I no loner have furry teeth as I do when I used regular tooth pastes.

I love the flavor and found c.c.i.l.y to be the best by far.

This is my one HUGE qualm!!!!

Although they advertise (I think it is) 40 tabs per box I have counted them and sometimes there is only 20 or 30. =S Out of lets say 8 boxes only 3-4 will have at 40 in them. I took them back to the store and showed how the count is off and they graciously compensated me.

I got this product because I was tired of harshly minty toothpaste, and because the salesperson said it tasted like fruit loops. While it doesn't taste like fruit loops, it does have a wonderfully, mouth-watering taste!

People I have talked to say they have issues with the texture, that it's too powdery, but I disagree. If you are having that issue, perhaps hold some water in your mouth and crush the tablet to immediately create a paste, then go to town with your tooth brush!

My teeth sparkled so much, I even got compliments! In fact, my dad thought my teeth had improved so much he started using it! This product is also great for traveling!

The only thing I noticed is that my breath doesn't stay as nice as I'd like for as long as I'd like.

I bought this on a whim when I was traveling. I was intrigued by the concept. I tried Chou Chou because the rose sounded unusual.

The taste is average. I figured out that I like my tooth paste on the minty side. It's not bad, but it didn't make my mouth feel clean.

I bought it out of curiosity. I like minty toothpastes but I like to try different flavors. I was very intrigued how the rose would taste in my mouth.
At first it tasted a little weird, slightly salty and chalky. It wasn't unpleasant though. I could taste the rose and the lemon and it got even better once I rinsed my mouth clean of the baking soda.
After the first use I still wasn't sold but I gave it a few more tries and now I know I will re-purchase.
It lathers like crazy, I had foam running down the corners of my mouth, a little too much, actually, so now I use only half a tab and it's perfect.
Most importantly, my teeth feel really clean, I love this smooth feeling. I guess it's the baking soda.
I was actually a little concerned about the baking soda. I've always avoided toothpastes containing it because it made my mouth peel inside. Everyone who had it happen to them knows how annoying it is. I was afraid the Chou Chou would be too harsh on my mouth as well. The first few times it did peel a little (less than with a toothpaste) but after a few experiments I discovered that if I use half a tab and rinse my mouth really well afterwards there is no peeling going on. I've already fallen in love with Chou Chou so I would be really disappointed if it turned out to be too harsh on my mouth.
So far so good though, I even ordered more flavors to try out and can't wait to get them:)
One not-so-good thing about them, though, is that they crumble really easily. When I opened the box the first time I could see some broken up tabs and crumbs. It's a relatively minor thing, not enough to discourage me from ever ordering it again.

I really enjoy Toothy Tabs. In addition to being more environmentally friendly than tradition toothpaste, these are much more gentle. Chou chou... has a distinct, classy scent that I adore.
As a child, my anemia caused my mouth to be inflamed and irritated. As a result, I hated brushing my teeth with a passion. Once I got my anemia and the related inflammation under control, I was left with yellow teeth and bad breath.
Being a young teen then, my fragile self esteem led me to attack both of these with large amounts of at-home-bleaching kits, harsh chemical mouth washes, and the strongest most abrasive tooth pastes I could find. This intense, borderline OCD oral hygiene regimen stuck with me.
Recently, I've started to notice some sensitivity as well as some warning signs of enamel loss. I've tried other tooth pastes formulated for sensitivity, and even a "natural" option. None of them left me with a clean feeling or helped my breath. Until I walked into LUSH to restock on an old favorite and saw these by the counter. I got Dirty looking for a classic mint, and then Chou Chou because the girl helping me said it was her favorite.
While I must say Dirty might be better for fans of the traditional, I use both regularly. This one is my go-to if I'm going out with friends, the taste and smell makes me feel confident and classy.
It definitely takes some getting used to, and I recommend drinking a glass of water before use so you're mouth isn't too dry. Chew for as long as you can (add a little water once you've started), or you'll be left with little chunks in your teeth and sink.

I keep these in my console of my car for unexpected over nighters along with a bottle of water. Let's just be real, if you're hungover, these things are way less harsh than mouthful of creamy mint seeping down your throat. At first it's like chewing chalk, then they turn into a light foam. They actually work!! And you don't have to deal with that harsh mint taste. Chou Chou is my favorite. Breath of God is liking chewing perfumed mothballs.

Just got a sample to try in the Las Vegas store tonight. The clerk told be to break it up w my front teeth then it would get foamy and to use my toothbrush. I followed the directions and also used my electric toothbrush like normal. My teeth felt really clean and I still have good breath two hours later. The flavor is way different than commercial toothpaste in a tube, I'm not sure yet if I like this flavor, but it cleaned so well I'm going to try the other favors. I'm definitely putting the toothy tabs in my travel bag instead of the messy leaky tube of toothpaste I drag along. I travel frequently and these tabs are going to be awesome! They also take up way less space in my luggage.

This is like a sugar coated rose petal that explodes into a lightly sweet lemon. I love how this travels well, the flavor (which gets better with every use), how clean my teeth feel. This may have to do with the fact that it feels so good that I brush a bit longer.

The idea of a "toothy tab" was interesting, but the ingredients drew me in. I stopped using traditional fluoride toothpaste many years ago, and I prefer non-fluoride varieties with ingredients that the average person would think are odd for toothpaste, like fruit, or myrrh etc.

So it was Valentine's, and I needed a bit of cheering up, and I thought the Rose addition to Chou Chou would do the trick, and it was amazing! The scent is uplifting, and now I choose Chou Chou as my permanent toothpaste (although I will try other varieties)! Don't worry, it foams just as well as regular toothpaste, and leaves your teeth/mouth squeaky clean...

It fizzes so it's kind of weird the first time you use it. The smell is amazing but I wasn't sure how long it would last because it was quite light so I ended up using mouth wash to keep my breath fresh for longer. It was really different and I liked it a lot.

When I first got this product, I was so excited to use my toothy tabs because they smelled so good! So I popped one in my mouth and mashed it up with my front teeth like the directions say. Almost immediately a TERRIBLE taste was in my mouth, which was kind of a mix between lemon juice and a flowery taste. Even though the flavor is horrible, I went through with it and finished brushing my teeth. When I was done, my teeth that were already pretty white looked even brighter!:) So satisfied with the results. Plus I got comments all day about how good my breath smelled! Definitely love these things..even though they're not very pricey I think half a tab is enough to use. Love!

I bought this from the Lush in Tyson's Corner last week because I was curious. The tabs are about the size of an m&m mini, and not too many come in the box; I would say a dozen or so. I broke it up first by chewing lightly on it with my front teeth, and then brushing with a wet toothbrush. It foams a lot, which I like, and it tastes sweet. It has a little sour aftertaste but I think that's due to the lemon and it's not entirely unpleasant. Portable box, great for sleep overs.

I was iffy about brushing my teeth with something that was lemon/rose flavored, but it actually tastes amazing. Or at least, I really like it. It's my favorite of the toothy tabs. Lush's toothy tabs are always fun to try, and they seem to clean really effectively. They also seem to whiten better than regular toothpaste (of the pasty variety). However, regular toothpaste is still more economical right now. :(

                            A:

We don't recommend children use the toothy tabs, and we recommend checking with your child's dentist to determine the best products for his or her needs. We feel confident that the ingredients we use in our toothy tabs are safe for use as intended as solid toothpaste for adults only.
