I am a waitress and busy days means lots of sweat. I use this layered over Aromaco on my underarms for extra sweat/odor control and they work very well together, not quite as well as deodorants full of nasty chemicals, but WAY better than other natural deodorants I've tried. For less mess, I bought a $1 powder brush from a drug store to apply it over Aramoco. I've noticed that switching to these natural deodorants has eliminated in-grown hairs in my underarms, which is AWESOME! It's also really great when I sprinkle a little in my bra on really hot days.

I stumbled onto Lush looking for a lightweight, multipurpose product to bring with me traveling to Central America. It is now my base for everything!! I blend with Guvner for deodorant on pits, body and feet!. Blend with Lustre for eye shadow/blush,dry shampoo(Im blonde)and perfume!!! Perfect!!! 3 lightweight bottles (no liquids to spill or check either)and 2 refillable brush applicators and now I don't have to look, smell or feel like a dirty backpacking traveler in a third world country!! Yahoo!!!

for this school semester I have been taking Flamenco classes and it is very intense. I leave class sweaty and stinky but after using this product i dont feel that way any more I will replace my current deodorant and will continue to use this one

I never write reviews but I am so impressed with this product as well as the Aromaco deodorant. For years I have been using clinical strength brand names deodorants because I sweat pretty easily, but I recently started reading about the aluminum and other chemicals in those products and started looking for something more natural, yet effective. A friend suggested I try Lush's deodorant. I use the Aromaco and Coconut deodorant at the same time (I put on the Aromaco and then put the Coconut powder on top) and I am loving it! It took my body a few weeks to adjust, but now I barely sweat (and I'm pregnant, so that's huge) and if I do...I smell yummy and not stinky! I also love that I don't have deodorant white stains all over my shirts. I can't say if this will work for everyone, but it has worked for me and I would recommend it to anyone. Great job, Lush!

I have started using this product everyday. I have very sensitive skin (eczema) and cannot use harsh products. I have normally used just baking soda for this purpose, but it dries out my skin.

This coconut deodorant is great! it doesn't dry out my overly sensitive skin a bit, and smells amazing. It does not last forever, but it lasts about as long as any other deodorant does. It can be a little messy but that is to be expected with a powder. I go running and to the gym often and even tho it wears off a little, I still think it is much better than anything I have tried ( and believe me, I've tried a lot) with harsh chemicals.

I had been searching for a natural deoderant without all the scary chemicals and I had actually had a shaker of the Coconut sitting in my medicine cabinet. I use the JASON brand tea tree deoderant stick and then set it with the coconut power ( I use an old make up brush and a cosmetic mirror to put the powder in.) This works well for me. I'm not naturally a very stinky or sweaty person, but I do have both problems from time to time. This has really worked for me and my only complaint is that it doesn't last as long as I would like it to.

First, I find myself constantly re-applying every couple of hours and I have to use quite a bit. The scent is mild and pleasant and can battle odor at first, but if you are a heavy perspierer, I would skip this one altogether. It's just simply not strong enough. If I apply this product before bed, I will wake up with stinky pits/clothes. This product is currently getting me through the winter/spring, but will be of little use by time Summer rolls around. And it certainly doesn't withstand sweaty parties. Using the bottle doesn't give me too much of a problem, but once the cap becomes clogged with powder it'll never close completely again, often causing a mess in my bag when I travel. I love, love, LOVE coconut scented things, but I may have to switch to my old deoderant for Summer/Fall.

I had such high hopes for this, since I'm head over heels in love with the scent of Trichomania. Upon first sniff, I was overwhelmed with a very pronounced perfume type smell. I want to say it's almost a sour type of scent. After, the sweet coconut comes through. Unfortunately though, it's so overpowered by that perfume smell, the coconut really doesn't get a chance to be the main attraction! I've purchased with Lush for years and I'm not crazy about the size of the bottles they use for the powders now. They are much smaller than the canisters they previously had. I'm not against using the bottles, I just wish they had variable sizes available. As for performance, while it feels great going on and its scent is pretty strong for a powder, I wouldn't recommend using only this as a means of odor or wetness protection. If you're not one to sweat, then this is probably best suited to you. If you have a physical job or just sweat a lot, you're going to need something else. Layering this over another deodorant would be a great addition and added protection. While I like the idea, it's not exactly what I want.

Another amazing product by LUSH. While I found it doesn't exactly last through a hot summer afternoon, the packaging is super practical to carry around in your bag for a quick midday touch-up. Do not be put off by how small it seems . just a bit will freshen you up wonderfully.
Applying it makes you feel instantly dry and SO SOFT. The scent is mild coconut and tapioca - not as coconutty as I expected but still great. Doesn't irritate my sensitive skin not one bit.
I would give this five stars if it would really last all day long. I don't perspire easily either, but I always need a midday touch-up, so that's what took one star off. Otherwise great product, nice smell, good value, and a MUCH better option than those icky plastic-y drugstore deo bars.

I've been on the hunt for a natural deodorant for a long time now. I've tried several different types of natural deodorants but my search is over. While in Lush over the weekend shopping for soap, I found this product and decided to give it a try because the product I had been using just wasn't doing what I thought it would for the $18 that I paid for it. This stuff is amazing! I applied it to my underarms on it's own after showering in the morning and at the end of the night I still didn't stink and my clothes didn't either! Even the next morning I still didn't stink and I sweat at night! I'm really amazed that just a simple powder worked so effectively for me, especially since I'm pregnant and have noticed that I sweat more and smell quicker now. The smell of the powder on the body is so pleasant and the price is awesome. I really couldn't be happier, I'm telling everyone I know about this stuff!

I love this powder, primarily for the smell. It's not too sweet like most coconut products and definitely has an earthy or mineral scent - similar to Trichomania. For reference, the other Lush smell I adore is the solid Sugar Scrub.

I use this powder as a deodorant, but also as a dry shampoo (brush through after) and on my sheets (just for the smell). It also works through long runs and full days at the office. Amazing!

I'm reviewing this for my boyfriend because he's just so in love with it, but would never get on here to review it himself haha.

J is a trucker, he sits in the same clothes 2-3 days in a row while he's out and gets pretty stinky. He's had a hard time finding a deodorant that keeps him dry, stink-free, and doesn't contain any perfumes to bother my allergies. He's also really worried about the aluminum in other deodorants and its connection with alzheimers. He also has a big problem with underarm pimples and ingrown hairs.

We've been through T'eo, the Greeench, and T for Toes. T'eo is my favorite by far but nothing, NOTHING has worked for him as well as Coconut. He's called me 3 times to brag about this deodorant, how easily it goes on, how great it smells, and how all of his underarm pimples and ingrown hairs are GONE. He doesn't just like this product, he LOVES it, and has asked me to buy 3 more bottles to stock up even though I'm not sure why that would be necessary unless it was being discontinued (sure hope not!!!)

He's had no problem with white residue and he doesn't need to layer it with other deodorants like some people have mentioned, I don't know if that has something to do with the fact that women tend to shave their pits, maybe the powder just clings to hair better?

Either way, this is a product J will be bragging about to everyone who will listen.

This was the first LUSH product I ever used. My ma gave this to me as a stocking stuffer one Christmas... With this one product, she created a monster.

I have incredibly sensitive pits and this product is a dream. I use a thin layer of some hypo allergenic deodorant for sensitive skin from any basic convenience store as my base. Then I pat a little coconut powder in my pits, and use whatever is remaining on my hands for other potentially offensive smelling areas.

Some customers complained of a white residue, but I never had this problem. This deodorant smells lovely, but isn't overpowering. I use it daily.

Bonus! My boyfriend even loves the smell. :)

I bought this since my previous stick deodorant was drying out my skin and was painful to apply since my skin was so sore. The skin in my under arms has definitely improved and is no longer dry, red and flaky. However, this deodorant does not last very long. Maybe I am not putting enough on, but with each use I have used more and more and it still does not last. I really want this product to work because the smell is very pleasant, but overall I am not that impressed. I love all of Lush's other products, but I will not buy this product again.

As another reviewer stated, this works best if you have on a layer of the aromaco on beforehand...I usually rub the aromaco with semi-dry pits right after the shower, and after the aromaco settles, dust on the coconut and the combination of the two patchouli + coconut scents is delightful! I agree, the powder won't stay put unless you have some other layer of wet-form deodorant underneath.

My only concern is that it does leave a white residue under my pits if there's any hint of moisture under there at all to cling onto the powder. Therefore, I probably wouldn't wear it with anything dark colored or even a sleeveless top because my pits turn a ghostly white! (and I have pretty yellow-tan skin being asian so it looks really odd). However, the smell is so sweet, it's a bit of a tropical fruity coconut that I literally lift my arms every now and then to get a whiff of my armpits...don't judge me.

The mini lotion-like container does make it manageable to use and not too messy...just squeeze the bottle a couple times to puff out a bit of the powder

Ok, I have to admit it, I was extremely skeptical about this product. I bought it for 3 reasons- looking for a more "natural" deoderant that doesn't test on animals, good reviews, and at the very least I could use it in my hair as another reviewer had recommended. BUT as for now... I'm honestly using it for my deoderant!! I really had low expectations. I live in Tucson, AZ (aka the desert) and even in November it's hot (think 70-80s farenheit). So far it's worked which is saying something because I've tried a lot of other "natural" brands and have had no luck. Hopefully this keeps up! I love it so far!! (Haven't tried it in my hair yet for oil control but thinking it would be great for that too!)

Love, love, love this delicious, sweet, coconut powder! You WILL get compliments on how you smell with this product, it's simply too decadent to ignore. My fiance recently told me the scent was one of the things that attracted him to me when we first. I love the new bottle packaging because it makes it easier to carry with me for refreshing the scent and making sure my pits stay dry. I would recommend applying Aromaco and then dusting the powder on with a powder brush or patting it on with your fingers. The patchouli in Aromaco and the sweet coconut scent layer wonderfully, and it will last all day. I've also used coconut oil to help it adhere, but Aramaco is really the way to co. The only downside? By its self, the coconut powder doesn't really do more than make you smell good for a bit. You really need something to layer underneath or it wont adhere as well as it should. Bonus! Sprinkling it through your hair works great as a dry shampoo and it makes your locks smell luscious!

I have the older school "tin-like" powder shaker, I havent seen or used the new packaging which looks like it's for a lotion not a powder but maybe they know something I dont.
Anyway, i got the vanilla and the coconut at the same time
the vanilla one comes out perfectly and goes on your body very evenly, smells great
I wish the coconut would do the same but it's clumps up and i have a hard time getting it out of the tin.
When it does come out of tin, clumbs just fling out and onto everything, like little balls of powder
Maybe thats why Lush changed packaging

I just wish coco could be like nilla
Im hoping when its all gone, I'll be able to fill the little tin up with more powder and it'll work better

I love the smell of coconut. So I got this to try because I would rather smell the summery coconut than some crazy mass produced scent. Its also got better ingredients. This is portable, easy to use and doesnt go through the black shirts I wear. I have also used it in my shoes, for fun and it was good. It does dry hands out a bit which isnt good for me since mine dry out super easily. I have the old container and it very hot here in the summer and the top seperated from the bottom so now I am aware and am careful. I will be glad to get the new container or just refill my old one. I dont wear floral or strong scented anything because I get watery eyes and it becomes bothersome so this is wonderful.

I love this stuff! I put this on the first day I got it. Once I put it on it completely eliminated the BO from that day AND the smell from the cotton inside of my actual t shirt. I sprinkled it in my shoes and after I worked out my shoes and feet smelled fine. After looking at the ingredients list I think it'd be safe to say you could probably use this in your hair also.
