This leaves my hair really soft, and I love Lush products but can understand why it went retro. It smells like I rubbed a lamb all over my head and then rinsed my hair with coconut water. The lanolin is so strong, but I guess that fat is what smooths and softens my hair. I'll finish the bottle, but I won't buy it again.

My long hair was destroyed by low dose chemo (which I have to continue taking weekly for autoimmune disease). It was mushy, stretchy, tangled if you looked at it crosseyed, and was impossible to comb out. I was extremely close to cutting it all off for the first time in my life, just because I was so sick of all the hassle. ONE use of Coolaulin returned my hair to normal - it became smooth, easy to comb out, held well in a braid, and was no longer frizzy and mushy. The smell is a little weird and smoky when it's wet, but it dries to a nice, subtle coconut - and the smell when wet is well worth the results, to me. This product is absolutely a *miracle* for damaged hair.

I have hair as thick as a horses mane and extreemly dry. I use head and sholders shampoo due to a flaky scalp and it always drys me out. This is a life-saver! It helps with my dry scalp and smells great at the same time. The only negative is how much is needed because it is so light but it is worth it.

I bought this trying to beat my American Cream conditioner, which I love but is sometimes not heavy enough for my curly, frizzy hair. I thought this would be perfect paired with my curly wurly shampoo (amazing!) since they were both coconut-based. First of all, the smell is off-putting. I couldn't really smell coconut at all, just smoke, and it's a little sickening first thing in the morning. Not really what you want your hair to smell like. Second, it definitely didn't beat American Cream. It maybe did a slightly better job detangling, but it left my hair feeling "squeaky" clean, not like it had just been conditioned, and that made it hard to manage and style. Otherwise, not noticeable difference between the two, and since American Cream smells like vanilla, it definitely wins. I'm glad I only bought the small bottle. This is the first LUSH product I haven't loved!

Holy cow, it's like a pina colada on my head! The scent is amazing, but what's even better is that the stuff works SO WELL. Combine it with I Love Juicy and step out of your shower and into a tropical paradise.

I got this product because I really needed something to help with my dry hair because I dye it a lot and this was perfect! It smelled great and left my hair feeling so soft. I was surprised because my hair usually doesn't take well with products like this.

This product is absolutely amazing. I have been using it since the 90's. I've tried many other high end conditioners but ended up sticking with Coolaulin. I have dry, colored hair and Coolaulin makes it look and feel like a child's hair: shiny, moisturized and healthy!
I can't recommend it highly enough!

I don't even know where to begin! That is how amazing I found this product. I am a white hispanic with very very curly hair. But due to some hormone issues my hair has started to thin a bit and my curls have gone from well defined to looser, mainly frizzy curls. I have been using Lush products for a while but never their hair products. Someone suggested I should try Curly Wurly and American Cream. So I did and absolutely loved curly wurly. American cream conditioner was a good conditioner and my hair was definitely much softer but the frizz, much to my frustration, was the same. I discovered Coolaulin online, because its not sold in my local Lush store. I ordered the small size to try it out. WITH ONLY ONE USE, I already noticed a tremendous difference. My curls looked so healthy, smooth and better defined. While I still had a little frizz (hello, it was only one use, after all) I would say Coolaulin reduced about 3/4 of my previous frizz. Thats huge! I am very happy with this product. In another review I read someone suggested you apply a little bit of the jungle conditioners just on your ends before applying the Coolaulin in your hair. I tried this as well and met even more success.This product has been a life saver (or should I say hair saver?) and I plan on continuing to use it.

Ok, Coolaulin, it's time for some tough talk: You don't smell like coconut. I'm sorry. You don't. At least, not right away. It's cool, we're still friends and everything.

That said, Coolaulin is worth a second look for the curly-haired. As far as moisture-rich products go, Coolaulin is on the thin side. If you're used to the luxuriously heavy, creamy conditioners you get from other brands, this isn't it. I wouldn't describe the product as watery though, it's on par with several of the other conditioners I've tried, in terms of thickness. For me, with thick curls, it takes more than what is recommended to fully saturate my hair, but that's me with ALL conditioners and it DOES work. I wash with Curly Wurly first thing in the shower and then use Coolaulin right after, letting it sit in my hair as I wash everything else. I wash the conditioner out last, which gives it some time to penetrate and really get into my hair.

Coolaulin doesn't tangle my hair, it works well with my styling products and gives me seriously good hair days in combo with Curly Wurly, for several days in a row. It doesn't leave a residue and my hair feels super soft.

The big downside? It...um...smells. On first application, when you flip open the bottle and put some in your palm, Coolaulin smells...kind of like how your clothes smell the day after you've been near a campfire, having a party with friends and forgot the smoke was blowing on you. A stale kind of not-really-pleasant smoke that you didn't realize you were getting on yourself. The smell though, is not so overbearing that it ruins a shower and once your hair is dry, it dissipates. I'm not sure if it's the conditioner or the Curly Wurly, but after it dries, my curls do smell of lovely, lovely coconut. It's a toss-up. I've used products that smell better immediately, I've used products that smell worse, but this does its job, helps my curls and in the end, I like the results, that's what matters!

I love this conditioner, I can't resist anything coconut. I had to wait forever before I could try this conditioner, because every time I went to buy it, it was sold out! What the heck, guys?! ;) It smells soooo good. Almost exactly like trichomania. It does have more of a smokey smell to it, but I don't mind it, and it doesn't stick to my hair. It is a bit on the thinner side (then again, I'm used to using American Cream), but I wouldn't say it was runny. It was a bit hard for me, though, to not want to keep adding more. My hair just soaked it right up! I have a ton of very fine, pin straight hair that's been damaged to the point where it would have just been easier to chop it all off, and it gets tangled very easily. This instantly detangled my hair as soon as I used it. After I rinsed my hair, I could definitely feel that it was already a lot softer. When my hair dried, it looked so healthy and shiny! I'm definitely buying this again.

i love what coconut does to my hair so much that i pair this with trichomania to keep my locks in line. i have wavy/curly hair and this conditioner keeps my hair tangle and frizz free, and it makes my curls soft. i love the smell of this as well as the feeling of my hair when it dries.

For my long and straight hair, Coolaulin works fantastically. Keeps my scalp grease free and ends moisturized. Minimizes static and frizz too. The coconut scent smells like raw coconut, not the sickly sweet stuff you may expect. MUST TRY

This is the perfect conditioner for fine hair, especially curly or wavy hair. It was recommended for a friend and I as we both have curly hair. Her hair is thick/coarse and she hated it. For my baby-fine hair, it is wonderful! You don't need to use too much if you have fine hair and you can pair it with just about any shampoo. The smell is wonderful and earthy--the best natural coconut scent I've ever come across!

I use this daily after 'New' solid shampoo or 'Trichomania'. I used to mix it with 'American Cream' but then it overconditioned. This by itself is PERFECT. No static. No overconditioning. SMELLS LIKE COCONUT so you non-coconut lovers go away! Don't whine about the smell if you don't like coconut. Mild smell but there nonetheless.

I used to mix it with 'American Cream' but now find I use it straight. It prevents static electricity and tangles and smells great. Not too heavy for my fine, aging hair. I used to mix 'American Cream' but that is now too heavy. Perfect smell (not too heavy) and perfect consistancy (not too heavy or light).

This smells fantastic like a freshly cracked coconut. Though it feels too light to be working after blow drying my hair felt silky and soft with lots of body. I have been using it now for several months and my hair is in great condition.

I was excited to use this, the Lush lady told me it would be the best for my curls to use with Trichomania. I went through it so quickly and it's not cheap. I had to use twice as much as I normally would because it was much too lite for my thick curls. I loved the smell but I probably wouldn't buy it again because it has poor price performance, in my opinion.

Smell starts nice then ends up sort of like a stale smokey campfire smell which is okay for a minute but gets old. Very watery texture to the conditioner and it really doesn't do the job for my curly hair. My hair isn't really soft and has an unpleasant texture after use. It's not the worst, but not worth the cost. I'll finish this bottle and call it quits.
