I love the scent and it isn't too heavy or greasy. I love Celestial as well but more as a night cream. I find that Cosmetic Lad (as well as most Lush moisturizers) have a good calming affect on my skin after shaving. I have tried to use it as shaving cream and it worked well but I prefer not to waste it. The scent reminds me of orange cream popsicles.

I like a close shave so I use a straight razor. Using an alcohol based after shave leaves my face feeling too dry and stretched. Cosmetic Lad is a gift from the heavens. It is soothing and it does not sting. I recommend it for anyone who likes a smooth feel right after a shave.

In the winter the skin on my face becomes taut and dry. I tried changing my cleanser, because I have never met a moisturizer that does not transform my skin into an oil slick. I wasn't happy with the LUSH cleanser that I tried, so the folks at LUSH sat me down and had me try each of their moisturizers. When I first applied Cosmetic Lad, it felt a bit heavy, but they begged my patience, which I'm glad they did. In a little under a minute, the moisturizer absorbed into my skin and left it smooth, matte, and weightless. I've been using it for over a week and my light skin tone has become so even, I don't bother with foundation. There are no signs of dryness. No problems with oiliness. My skin problem solved and then some!

I love this product. I wanted a light moisturiser, doesn't give that oily look and gives the matte kinda look. And this was the product. Just a small dab and it spreads very evenly all over the face and maybe the jaw line. It smells good, not amazing but at least its not bad. I love it, and this is my first time trying it and I can say that I'm going to buy another. This is prolly my fav moisturiser ever. It was so hard to find a really good one and this is a really good one

Smells great, feels even better! I use this after cleansing with Angels on Bare Skin and toning with Eau Roma Water and it works beautifully. I have had problems with patches of chapped, over-dry skin ever since having my first child and have tried so many different types and brands of moisturizers and this one beats them all by far. It's definitely not just for the boys!

I usually use Enzymion, but it's a little light for Mid-Western winters. I read some reviews to see which moisturizer would be my best bet, and asked the SA when I went to Lush to see what they would recommend for me. We both thought Cosmetic Lad would be my answer, and we were right. It's heavier in texture than Enzymion, but it works about the same for me as far as moisturizing as much as I need without my skin getting oily by the end of the day. It's very soothing and it's kept my skin soft and clear. My skin turns red very easily, but that's minimized with Cosmetic Lad. It is pretty greasy looking when you first put it on, but by the time I walk out the door, it's all soaked in and smells and feels great.

This isn't my favorite moisturizer. It's really thick and greasy and caused my skin to break out. I've since gone back to Imperialis, and keep Cosmetic Lad in my collection for spot correction [like my forever-dry nose and cheekbones during winter] or emergency night cream. I'd recommend this to someone with desperately dry skin. Otherwise, try something lighter like Imperialis! I wish this cream worked for my face because it smells irresistably delicious.

I love this product ! It was my first time ever at the lush store. I only went in because my friends knew the place and intend up buying a facial mask. The workers gave me a sample of this and I just tried it after i did the facial mask at home. Omgggggg it smells amazing !!!!!! I just thought it worked well after the facial but I been using the sample everyday. Finally went back to get the real stuff it's affordable it smells great and good product ☺ ask for a sample they will give you one

I have to shave every single day for work, and I've tried a lot of different after shave products. Most of them were rather oily or smelled awful. This one is perfect! The fruity fragrance is nice to wake up to.

Even when I have to shave within a 16 hour period since my last, now I don't dread it! I can even shave my slower-growin' stache every day now.

I'm lucky in that I rarely have to use moisturizers on my face, but when I do, this is is the one I always turn to. It feels a little greasy when applying, but the moisturized feeling lasts for a long time after the lotion has dried. It's also very light on my skin, like it doesn't feel oily afterwards, which I really like. Lastly I can't get over the AMAZINGNESS of this smell; it's very sweet without smelling chemical-y, I think. A favorite of mine from Lush hands down.

I usually use Enzymion but I was noticing my face was really dry afterward and throughout the day. During certain periods Enzymion is perfect but I decided I needed something a bit heavier for a while. I don't usually like anything on my face, which is why I originally chose Enzymion but Cosmetic Lad feels great, smells better, and keeps my face from drying out. It is heavier than some of the other moisturizers, but it's a lot lighter than others too, and I think it sinks into the skin really easily.

(For my skin) its a great summer moistureizer. In winter I need to use something a little more robust. Another goos use for Cosmetic Lad is you hair...I use it as a "balm" to tame fly aways. It smells great too!

In the winter, my skin becomes so horribly dry and flakey I can't stand it, but most ultra-moisturizers (expensive or cheap) will make my skin too oily and I'll break out. Not to mention, thanks to my lovely norwegian heritage, I'm very fair and prone to redness. Cosmetic lad not only didn't give me any problems at all, but after a week of using it daily (with Angels On Bare Skin in the morning/evening) I stopped experiencing any flakiness. It smells lovely and is great under a light-foundation.

Cosmetic Lad is an effective moisturizer for those with dry to normal skin. The scent, however, is debatable. It smells exactly like an orange creamsicle. I love eating creamsicles, so at first I liked the scent; but then when putting it on my face, there were days that I felt repulsed by the extremely sweet smell on my face. I won't be buying it again because of the smell.

I liked the smell and texture of this product, but it left my skin very greasy and shiny even using only a small amount. My pores look awful and I even have spots on my forehead now! I don't have oily skin and never get spots, so this was a surprise. I was given this as a sample instore, I may go and see if the store has something less oily, but this wasn't the best intro to the Lush range.

Sinse Lush isn't were I live (have to take one hour bus to get there)I desided to swich brand. I tried Burt's Bees, but that gave me rashes. I changed back to Lush and my skin have never been better! I LOVE this! My skin is so soft!

I absolutely love this moisturizer. I use this along with Ultra Bland, Herbalism, and Eau Roma Water to make my skin completely flawless without concealer! (Although, LUSH new color concealer that they have is amazing, I did try it!) - It's a must have!

This is hands down the best moisturizer i have ever used. I have combonation skin that can be really dry one day and really oily the next, and i live in a valley near the beach so it's very windy and my skin gets wind chapped really easily. Cosmetic Lad solves all my problems. I also don't wear make up and this doesn't make my skin shiny like most moisturizers. Added bonus: Smells like a creamsicle!!!! i wish it was edible...wait no i dont because i go through a jar a week.

I bought this as a facial moisturizer, and discovered it does so much more. Like a lot of LUSH products, it does double, triple, or quadruple duty! I use it on my legs after shaving to soothe (I'm a woman!) and on my arms to prevent a rash I get from wearing carpal tunnel braces at night. I use it as a facial moisturizer (only use a bit) and under my eyes, where I discovered it seems to reflect light to lessen under-eye circles, as some rather more expensive products are touted as doing (a happy accident?) A very useful and gentle product. Love it. The smell isn't totally awesome, but hey, you can't have everything! Or can you? Thanks, LUSH.
