Q:I want to buy more than one face mask, am i able to put an unopened mask product in the freezer til I open it and start to apply it on a week by week basis?Asked on 8/5/2013 by Ellie from Las Vegas, NV
A:For the best possible results, our Fresh Face Masks are best used within the three week expiry date that is listed on the jar! They must be kept in the fridge but we don't recommend freezing them. Freezing and then de-thawing the product will change how the ingredients interact with each other and with your skin. Since the masks are essentially like food, things like the natural enzymes and vitamins in the mask will be affected by extreme temperature shifts.Answered on 9/25/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Can I use this product more than once a day to help clear up a breakout?Asked on 6/30/2013 by Joyce
A:Generally, we recommend using our face masks 1-2 times per week, with at least a day or two off in between uses so your skin has time to absorb the effect of the ingredients. Depending on how your skin responds, you could increase how often you use it, but still leave at least a day in between uses.Answered on 9/25/2013 by Anonymous
A:I actually tried using this mask twice a day to help speed up skin clearing......I wouldn't recommend it. About day 3, as my breakout was worse (which will happen at first- it always gets worse before it gets better), it actually started having a drying, irritating effect. I've found that using this mask once daily or every other day, and adding in Grease Lightning at night and as a spot treatment during the day, has evened out the process and actually increased the effectiveness of the mask.Answered on 7/16/2013 by MrsDzl from Mukwonago, WI
Q:I have very dry skin & the mask is working great for me. I have been using it everyday for almost a week now. Should I continue to do so or should I reduce usage so my skin doesn't get used to it or dry out?Asked on 8/11/2012 by Sim from Simon
A:I use to use it everyday but after a while you skin will become dependent on it and eventually it wont work anymore. You should ease off try every other day then every couple days. The woman at the Lush store recommended you use masks about 3 times a week. You might want to eventually get there but take your time. It does work very well. Try a moisturizer after; maybe it'll help.Answered on 9/8/2012 by Leighton Kayy from Rockville, MD
A:We would recommend reducing use of the mask to a couple of times per week, simply because the masks work to draw impurities out of the skin, and are meant to be a treatment. You may find it to be slightly drying if you are using it everyday. We would suggest adding a moisturizer and cleanser that is appropriate for everyday use to complete your routine.Answered on 9/19/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Does this product dry out skin? My skin is very, very dry as it is and I'd like to know before I buy it.Asked on 2/20/2012 by Ellen from Barstow, CA
A:The tea tree oil might be too much for you if your skin is very sensitive since its meant for acne, although the girl at my shop said it was safe for all types. If you have acne it might be worth it, otherwise maybe one of the masks for dry skin?Answered on 3/1/2012 by deconstructed_v from California
A:No, not at all. It leaves my skin very soft and supple. HOWEVER I have a different skin type than you. It would be best to wait for a profession answer or ask a lush clerk in person and while you're in the store you can try out everything! And ask for samples!! ;) They give them!Answered on 6/12/2012 by Joanju the Bard from Boston, MA
A:I would not recommend using the Cosmetic Warrior for your skin, as it is more suited to oily and acne prone skin.Answered on 2/21/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:What is the shelf life of this product? And about how many uses can I expect to get out of it?
Thank you!Asked on 2/18/2012 by Bre from Mt Carmel, TN
A:The fresh face masks have a shelf-life of about three weeks. Each pot will have a sticker on the back that says when it was made, who made it, and when it is best used by. Usually I can get about 3 applications per pot, but it depends on how thick a layer you use.Answered on 2/20/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:How many times per week should you use cosmetic warrior?Asked on 2/2/2012 by Anonymous
A:I am soon to be a Cosmetologist and since masks extract dirt so harshly, (I don't mean harsh in a bad way. Sometimes the skin needs a little extra oomph) you should be using a mask once a week if your skin is fairly oily/acne prone and once every other week when your skin clears up.Answered on 4/8/2013 by Anna from Chicago
A:I recommend using the fresh masks once or twice a week depending on your individual skin needs. Just be sure to allow a day or two between applications so the skin has time to recoup after the deep cleansing of the mask.Answered on 2/17/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:About once every 6 or 7 daysAnswered on 2/19/2012 by Lauren from PA
Q:Does Cosmetic Warrior help with acne?Asked on 1/18/2012 by TisHayley
A:Yes, it is packed with tea tree and garlic which are very helpful in killing acne causing bacteria. The kaolin clay also helps to draw impurities from the pores, keeping them nice and clear.Answered on 1/24/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:YES!! This even did wonders on my extremely sensitive skin. (just ignore the smell, seriously its worth it) I would recommend you purchase and use once or twice, and if you don't like you can bring it back to your shop, they are extremely understanding with returns and will help you find something that will work for you.Answered on 1/24/2012 by Jess from Anaheim, Ca
A:I have found it to help with my acne especially the acne I get on the chin which I know they say that's mostly hormonal but I will say it's helped a good amount I would also recommend trying their "grease lightning" that is the magic stuff to acne it's like a gel not a mask though, but it's amazing!!!! It really does work!!!!Answered on 2/6/2012 by Steff from Limerick, PA
