This face mask works like magic. I used it one night, with many red spots of acne on my forehead, and I woke up and the redness was gone as were many bumps. This doesn't happen with any other product. I've tried even medications you apply over night.
It smells good, and you will find chunks of grapes and garlic. I'm not a huge garlic person, and I was pleased to find that I couldn't even smell it.

So this is a little thick so it takes some time to smooth on. I use it weekly and leave it on for 10-15 min and then wash off. I find it works best after the shower or after a steam bath with a toner bomb, so your pores are open. It's nice for exfoliating sensitive skin that can't handle abrasive exfoliants, and it really works well at clearing up any problem spots. I had a tough time managing my cystic acne, but now with an organic skin care regiment I have not had any problems for over a year. So using this and other lush masks (cupcake and catastrophe are some other favorites) as a part of my weekly routine really keeps my skin looking and feeling great!

The only downside to this mask is the smell. It doesn't smell awful in the container and the first time it isn't great but the longer it's on the worse it smells. But with the results I get, I will endure the stink!

A sales woman recommended this mask to me when I told her I needed a mask to help clear up my hormonal breakouts. I have oily and acne-prone skin. I smelled the mask in store because I had read some reviews that it smelled "disgusting".. But IT SMELLS FINE! It does not smell yummy but it is by no means disgusting. I applied it and let it sit 10 minutes, then jumped in the shower. When I got out of the shower my skin looked better already. It was not as inflamed and blotchy! I was so impressed, I can't wait to use this mask again in another couple days to see even better results.

I had just moved to the Pacific Northwest from an area of high desert. For about one month my skin was reacting so badly to the change in climate and my usual products were not working. I basically had to start from scratch! Walked into Lush and was looking for something to 'fix' the situation that was going on and help with some new skin routine products.

Cosmetic Warrior was just the ticket! It doesn't quite smell the best but in the 2 weeks time, using it every other day, my acne spots had disappeared and the unusual oil slicks on my face had disappeared! I wouldn't recommend it for all the time, but I was in a face crisis. I also have eczema and somewhat sensitive skin and it did not irritate my face at all, although I highly suggest a toner (and of course moisturizer) for afterwards because my face would be slightly tight.

That in conjunction with daily use of 9 to 5 cleansing lotion has gotten my skin to not just normal, but way better than before my move!

I bought this product after reading many god reviews on it. However, Cosmetic Warrior HURT my face. Not a refreshing "oh, this is really cleaning out my pores" but a burning sensation. I never considered my skin to be ultra sensitive, but for 2 straight days after using this product, my skin just HURT. My nose dried out and I felt new blemishes forming under my skin along my jaw. I was so upset after one use, I exchanged Cosmetic Warrior for Brazened Honey (which is an AMAZING mask). Save your time and your face and opt for a different face mask that won't leave your skin in pain.

My face went into a total spazz last week and I knew I had to get to lush to re-up on my Fresh Farmacy Cleanser. I got to the store and the sales person started to educate me (sell me)other products. He showed me the Cosmetic Warrior mask and I said I WANT IT! I've used it about three times in 4 days now and I'm am beyond impressed. This stuff works! Rough patches and breakouts dried out and nearly gone and the fact I have to keep it in the fridge is even better. The cool application is THE BEST! Thank you Lush for producing quality products at affordable prices.

I went to my local Lush store yesterday to pick up a new face wash and mask. I had been using a combination of Fresh Farmacy face wash and the Catastrophe Cosmetic mask, but I am now on a new dermatology regimen. I suffer biweekly from hormonal and stress-induced acne and occasionally get the huge cystic ones. FF had become too drying and the CC mask was not calming the redness I was experiencing. I have combination skin and while my t-zone was fine, my cheeks were peeling like crazy. So I went to Lush and the associate said I should give Aqua Marina and Cosmetic Warrior a try. Boy, am I glad I did!

Cosmetic Warrior corrected everything I did not like about the Catastrophe Cosmetic mask. I left the mask on for approximately 10 minutes, then gently massaged my face as I washed it off. Warrior does not dry chalky like Catastrophe does and actually it appears to reduce both my pores and the redness on my cheeks! I miss the smell of the Catastrophe mask (blueberries), but I don't mind Warrior's, which is a combination of garlic and tea tree. It sort of smells like I slathered a garlic bread knot on my face instead of eating it. The upside: The smell did not appear to linger after I washed it off and used Full of Grace as my nighttime moisturizer.

In short, if you have combination, acne-prone, or sensitive skin, I definitely recommend this mask!

I recently experienced the worst acne breakout in my life after trying the OCM (oil cleansing method). Previously I had only struggled with blackheads and the occasional hormonal/stress pimple around my tzone, but now I had a face COVERED in large whiteheads and small red bumps (cheeks, forehead, chin) weeks after I stopped the OCM. I purchased Cosmetic Warrior to get the breakout under control.

I kept it in my fridge as directed. Before applying the mask I would wash my face in warm water and use the Fresh Farmacy to cleanse my face. Then I would rinse and pat my face mostly dry and apply a thin coat of Cosmetic Warrior all over my face. I left it on for about 8 minutes then would rinse it off in the shower. After a week of daily use, the large whiteheads were GONE. I still had most of the small red bumps although they looked a lot better. Cosmetic Warrior had no effect on my blackheads but I didn't really expect it to.

I think the biggest downside to this mask is definitely the smell (think garlic and mayonnaise). It did NOT make my fridge smell bad, and the smell did not bother me at all at first (I love garlic!). However, after a week of using it I started to get queasy about the smell.

I would definitely buy this product the next time I have a bad breakout, but it will never become part of my daily routine due to the smell.

Although I don't have acne-prone skin, once a month I'll get an obnoxious breakout. Whenever that happens, I'll pull this stuff out of my fridge and use it to help sooth my skin. I LOVE it! Even my boyfriend (who has finnecky, acne-prone skin) loves it (he'd be so upset if he found out I was sharing this!) The smell is sort of funny and off-putting, but the results are SO worth it!

So, I have an oily T-zone and the rest cracks up like crazy. Using a whole bunch of products like made my skin get these really nasty bumps and breakouts worse. So, I used this with Herbalism and Toner and moisturizer and it cleared a lot of my pimples up. I love it, it's great! Two years and I'm still using it!

This is a great product for people who are suffering from acne however the smell is too strong. Even if its too strong I'll continue to use it because it really works.
Wash face, leave mask on for 15 minutes.
Use mask twice a week and be consistence with it and the lush mask will work hopefully ^^

I do think it's a great product, but since it dries quickly, it cakes very easily causing some parts to have more product than other sections of my face. The first week I used it, I saw instant results. My acne scars were less red, the pores on my nose shrunk dramatically and my skin felt so smooth. Won't dry out your skin like most masks do! Be careful when it comes close to the expiration, though, it tends to smell terrible and is not as effective.

I love this product. I use it every other night and I can see an improvement when I wake up the next day. It doesn't smell great but that's no big deal. I don't really see an improvement for blackheads and it dries out my skin a bit, but I'll continue using it until something better comes out. Every time I run out I have to rush back to lush to get more.

I used this mask for the first time ever after my Vegas vacation. (it was 105+ degrees everyday and my face was an oil slick afterwards) I put it on for 10 minutes and it calmed my pores down and soothed my skin so much. The next day my face was glowing, yes...glowing and it felt so much calmer and softer. A definite must for anyone with breakouts and blackheads.

I really like using this product about twice a week to keep breakouts under control. I think this is a great mask for all skintypes, but it's definitely most effective for acne-prone skin. The results can be seen almost immediately the next morning.

It smells AWFUL. Like onion dip? I only leave it on for about five minutes because that's all I can stand. After, the smell doesn't linger on your skin as long as you wash it off completely. The smell doesn't deter me from buying this product almost every trip I make to Lush.

My mother used to always tell me that people who ate a lot of garlic had pretty and clear skin. She, also, was always trying to help me clear my skin for the past, oh, 10 - 15 years. It has been a constant battle of mine. We tried putting egg yolk on my face as a mask, holding my face over steaming water, proactive, over-the-counter products, clinique, prescriptions, etc. etc. The only other thing that worked was birth control, but I don't like the side effects or the idea of taking medicine.

Before I continue, let me precede this comment with my age. I'm 25 and much of my acne worries have subsided when I turned 22, so I don't know how applicable this will be for teens. Anyway, I have not had clear-not-one-blemish skin since I was 10.

When I found this face mask, I knew I had to try it because it had ALL the ingredients my mother and I tried in ONE mask. Of course, with garlic and egg, it did not smell good, at all. But I actually use it every day, after the cleanser, and now I go without any make-up.

My mother actually thought I WAS wearing foundation yesterday because my complexion was so even and smooth! I smiled the rest of the day. :) My skin doesn't feel dry. It doesn't feel oily or greasy, even in this hot Georgia summer. It just feels healthy and CLEAR! I love it!

My mother decided to give it a try after seeing my outcome, because of a dark "bump" she got on her cheek after wearing make-up that didn't suit her skin. It wasn't acne and it didn't go away for about 2 weeks. She thought it was going to become one of those age spots/moles that you get when you get older. She dreaded it. When she used this product, it actually got smaller and the color got lighter! She continued to use it night and morning, just on that spot. It has not gone away completely yet, but it has gotten noticeably smaller. Plus, she ran out about a weekn and half ago, so we'll see if it disappears. Fingers crossed. She loves it too!

I hope someone finds it as wonderful as I do. (Also, if you have more severe acne issues, the tea tree water is great right before bed. Tea tree oil is wonderful, but it, alone, dries out your skin.)

For me, honestly using this product I've noticed my face has became smoother after wash & moustirzer. I didn't really notice improvement for my face as in pimples, etc. I was still breaking out on it anyways.

To be honest, I don't know why Cosmetic Warrior gets such a bad rep. Yes, the smell was disgusting but this product was not advertised as a wonderfully smelling product; it was advertised as a face mask. Also, after reading reviews about this product, I expected the smell to be MUCH worse so if you are on the fence about this mask because of the smell, don't be because the results make you change your mind. Speaking of the results, this mask left my skin balanced, smoother, and noticeably less acne-prone! I use this product twice a week with Herbalism, Tea Tree Water, and Imperialis which I must say, have saved my acne problems.
