This was given to me as a gift with other stuff from lush and I loved it! It smells amazing and I use a bit on my skin. I thought it would have irritated my skin or dried it out because I have sensitive skin but it didn't. I was moisturized and I smelled like sweet vanilla all day. When I looked at the lush website it costs around 46.95 which is A LOT. It is sad cause I love it but when I run out I do not think I will be repurchasing any time soon until I come to the store with some serious cash in my wallet

When I first smelled this lotion I wondered why is it so darn expensive. It smells like any other cocoa butter lotion but with a huge markup. I know it has saffron but I couldn't tell.... at first... I used it over the winter, because it was there. I have since grown quite attached to this lotion. After a little while you notice subtle nuance with its scent. It is unique and warm unlike other cocoa butters. This has become personal. I love it now and will never be without it. Its expensive so use other lotions for your feet and use this on your hands chest and arms so you can smell it all day and not waste it:)

This product is pricey but don't be fooled - it's totally worth it! I first got this as a sample and oh man, I tell you it's perfect. I have never had a moisturizer work so nicely. I am a huge fan of the dream cream but it doesn't really absorb that quickly. So when I need a quick hydration for my skin, I turn to Crème Anglaise! The scent stays with you all day long; I remember the first time I used it before bed, I could still smell it the next day! And it is just absolutely beautiful! Also, it totally does the job. My hands feel soft all day. It's perfect and totally worth the money spent, especially since a little goes a long way!

I'll add a male perspective to the reviews on this product. I don't really moisturize all over but I like to keep my hands fresh and don't like any signs of aging on my forearms. This product fits the bill perfectly!

I've used other moisturizers on my hands but this one is better than any. First, it smells great. It's not too feminine. I play a lot of tennis and it helps keeps callouses and roughness at bay. My skin looks younger (not so crepey) as well.

I have some sun damage on my forearms from being outside and Creme Anglaise really helps moisturize that as well and make my forearms look younger and feel so smooth and moisturized.

It's expensive, but this is a great product. I can get 5-6 months out of a tub if used appropriatlely. After a shower is perfect.

I LOVE this product! It has this amazing vanilla/almond scent. Put it on just after a shower and your skin gets baby soft. Although this product is a little pricey, I believe it is worth every penny. Oh and by the way.....a little bit of this stuff goes a long way! So go ahead and splurge!

yes, it's pricey. but it's worth it if you're looking for a way to treat yourself in a luxurious way. a little goes a long way, and it lasts for most of the day. i want all of my lush fragranced products to last all day, and this one truly does. i don't think its scent is powdery at all, in fact i think it's delicately sweet and reminds me more of vanilla frosting. in addition to its scent, the lotion is SO moisturizing and softens your skin all day long as well, even after hand-washing.

I tried a sample of Creme Anglaise and was initially excited by how nicely it smoothed onto my skin and moisturized my hands, but after a while the product's frangrance just got to me. I find Creme Anglaise to be overly sweet smelling and irritating; my nose would not stop itching and even washing my hands didn't entirely get rid of the scent! The frangrance of Creme Anglaise just isn't for everyone.

I was skeptical about trying this lotion at first, partly because of the price tag and partly because I did not care for the fragrance at first. I took a chance and tried it out, fully expecting to be under-whelmed and return it eventually. I was so unbelievably wrong! I am hopelessly addicted to this lotion and cannot ever be without it. First of all, it smells amazing. Smelling it in the jar doesn't give you a good idea of what it really smells like, you need to put some on and allow the fragrance to "develop" on your skin. I smelled it on my hand a half hour after trying it on and it was love. It has a vanilla-ish scent but it isn't sweet. It has a nice, sort of musky, earthiness to it (I'm guessing from the myrrh that's in it). To me, it smells the way I imagine really beautiful, sexy skin would smell. Also, it's very hydrating (so it's great for dry skin) but it's surprisingly lightweight. It leaves you with a bit of a dewy sheen, but not greasy, heavy, or goopy. It absorbs pretty quickly. Also, a little goes a long way, so use it sparingly and add more if you need to, don't glop it on like crazy or you'll end up with a lot of excess lotion all over yourself. It is a little expensive (especially for daily use), which sucks, but you really do get what you pay for. This lotion is amazing and really does the job, which I think makes it worth the cost. My skin has never looked this healthy and gorgeous. Plus, it ought to last you a while if you don't go crazy with it. I try not to use it daily but I can't help myself, it smells so amazing. I go and randomly sniff the jar every so often, I love the scent so much! I will also sometimes use it on my hands before bed, so that I fall asleep smelling it. I wish Lush would create a whole line of body products with this scent...or at the very least a shower smoothie, or body wash. You must try this lotion, especially if you have dry or sensitive skin. Be warned though, you will become addicted! X-D

I am hooked 100% on this product. The scent is so enticing, it drives my boyfriend crazy, in a good way. It's not greasy at all either. It absorbs very quickly and my skin is remarkably healthier looking and it's noticeably more hydrated. It's spendy, but it's worth it.

Wow how can I begin to describe how amazing this stuff is? I will start with the smell. Sweet but not overly sweet. Such a comforting scent! Instantly calms you. Think walking into a Parisian bakery. Vanilla, doughy, intoxicating! Next lets talk consistency. This stuff just sinks into your skin and spread like butter. I promise your skin will drink this up instantly and thank you! What I love most? A little goes a LONG way so don't think that you are going to use it up fast. And even better there is NO greasy after feel AT ALL! It absorbs instantly and leaves your SUPER hydrated. I want to bathe in the stuff, roll in it! Last lets talk price point. Yes, it is pricey! But read why, they are only using the best of the best! I have NO problem paying the [$] because I know its worth it plain and simple. So if you are sitting there reading and debating, put it in your cart and order it already! I PROMISE you will not be disappointed. And ladies if giving your skin the best drink its EVER had is not enough let me tell you guys ADORE the smell of this stuff! I have had so many guys walk up and ask me what I am wearing. And my husband LOVES the feel of my skin. He hates it when I have greasy skin from lotions and body butters but not this one! i couldn't believe how easily the moisturizer spreads on your skin. it feels firm when you scoop it out of the tub, but as soon as it gets on your skin it just melts over it. normally, if i use other moisturizers after a shower, i go through a whole tube/tub in literally a week. to cover my entire body, i only needed one little scoop of Creme Anglaise. not to mention it made me SO SOFT! warning though... to some it smells exotic and warm... i thought i smelled like a spice market when i first put it on... but to others it smells like baby powder. for me, after a few hours of wearing it, it smells like a little of both. it is really about personal taste. but even if i hated the smell, i would still use it, because it is SO EFFECTIVE at curing skin dryness

I have been battling horrible dry patches on my arms for a while now. Thick, dry, flaky skin plagued above my elbows, reaching around towards my shoulder blades. I had tried several lotions, oils, creams to no avail. I had sniffed out Creme Anglaise on previous visits to Lush and knew it was something I wanted to add to my collection but the price was a deterrent. Unfortunately, the icky skin had gotten pretty bad and with tank top weather upon us, this would not do. I've purchased a few things in my days that I do not feel good about afterwards - this is NOT one of those things. This product, in conjunction with The Olive Branch, has absolutely saved my skin. No more patches at all. Just soft, smooth skin in time for spring. It's nothing something I would use all over, that would just get too expensive. However, for severe problem areas, it's incredible and a must have. I love the way it feels and the way it smells. It smells like softness and cuddles.

I absolutely LOVE this product!!! I love the way it smells and feels! I received a sample of this while purchasing another product, and am so HAPPY I did!! I received some for Christmas and am THRILLED!! I use it on my body right after showering, while still a little wet. A little goes a long way, so the price does not bother me. It is soooo worth it! One more thing, last night I used it on my face and this morning my face feels like a "baby's bottom"!
