Cleanse your face and pat dry. Smooth a good dollop of Fresh Face Mask over your entire face, making sure to avoid the eyes and mouth. Leave the mask on for about ten minutes (do not let the mask dry completely). Now is a good time to read the latest LUSH Times! And finally, wash off with warm water and follow with your favorite toner and moisturizer.

Invented with teenage skin in mind
Cupcake is our one Fresh Face Mask that was created for a bit of fun. At the time, our inventor’s daughter was a young girl having slumber parties with her girlfriends every weekend, so he whipped up a chocolate mint mask for young, oily skin (officially solidifying him as the coolest dad ever). If you suffer from oily or spotty skin, slather it in this cocoa concoction. With spearmint oil to cool, vanilla absolute to calm redness and Rhassoul mud to deeply cleanse- Cupcake is a sweet savior for young faces. Smothering yourself in chocolate for clearer skin? Every teenage girl’s dream. .
- Sleepover staple: Cupcake is definitely a fixture at slumber parties for it’s wonderful effect on teenage skin.
- It looks good enough to eat: But no, it doesn’t taste like chocolate pudding. Trust us.
- Refreshing minty tingle: We combine spearmint, fresh mint and peppermint oils in Cupcake.

Q:How long can fresh face masks be OUT of the fridge before going bad? Where i live, i have to drive 4 hours to get a mask, and if by the time i get home and my mask is expired, im gonna be pretty upset if ya know what i meanAsked on 3/5/2014 by Anonymous from somewhere fabulous
A:I always like to think of the fresh masks like they're a dairy product, and treat them accordingly. While I wouldn't recommend having them at room temperature for long, it should be ok to transport them home and send them straight to the fridge! I hope this helps!Answered on 3/19/2014 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:Can I still use this product after the expire day?Asked on 2/9/2014 by Sum
A:Because we try to use as little preservatives as possible, we do not recommend that any of our products are used after the use by date as we have only tested to that amount of time and cannot attest to any reactions that may occur after.Answered on 3/21/2014 by Anonymous
A:I have but I don't think it is recommended :/Answered on 3/1/2014 by Tara the 8th grader from Rockville, Maryland
Q:Does this dry out your skin?Asked on 5/7/2013 by Kimmie
A:Cupcake is definitely drying, it works very well for oily and troubled skin. The Talc and Rhassoul mud both absorb excess oil, and the mint is invigorating and pulls out skin impurities.Answered on 9/19/2013 by Laura C from LUSH Direct

Q:Am I able to freeze the fresh face masks to keep them fresher for longer? I rarely have the opportunity to get to a Lush store, and I'd like to be able to stock up on masks that I love when I get the chance to and keep them good for awhile.Asked on 10/30/2012 by Liz from United States
A:Our Fresh Face Masks contain fabulous ingredients that are most potent and beneficial before the expiry date. We don't recommend freezing the masks, since freezing and thawing the product will affect the effectiveness of the mask and the ability of the ingredients to do their job.Answered on 10/30/2012 by Anonymous

Q:is it safe to use while pregnant? I'm 13 weeks pregnant and suffer from some breakouts. I'd like to use something gentle and safe.Asked on 2/1/2012 by Anonymous
A:I don't expect there should be any problems using the Cupcake during pregnancy, and if you are concerned or have any unique circumstances, I'd recommend bringing the ingredients list to your physician to discuss which products would be best suited to your needs during this time.Answered on 2/17/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:How often should you do the cupcake mask?Asked on 12/28/2011 by Anonymous from Saint Paul Minnesota
A:We recommend using Cupcake face mask about two to three times per week.Answered on 1/13/2012 by Alyssa from LUSH
A:I would use the product at least every other day or every 2 days depending on your skin type really; I mean I use mine usually every time I shower which can vary; but I enjoy wearing it all the time it's so relaxing and really helps my skin; but I know at the store they say they are good for like 3 weeks or so but I've had mine for like a month and it was fine and I probably used it like 4 times a week or even 5 at the mostAnswered on 2/6/2012 by Steff from Limerick, PA
Q:How often do you use the face mask? Every night? Every other night?Asked on 12/26/2011 by jessicarae from Atlanta, GA
A:We usually recommend starting with using the mask about twice a week, but it really depends on your skin! Some people find that using a little bit every day is great, some people prefer a thicker layer of the mask less frequently. Experiment and find the right fit for you!Answered on 7/13/2012 by Laura from LUSH
A:I use this product about once a week. I wouldn't recommend using it every night or every other night because the product will be used up too quickly. I think that every 3-5 days is fine!Answered on 1/21/2012 by Sarah from Philadelphia, PA.
