Great shampoo, one of the best I've found. Occasionally the little bits don't rinse out, but it's not often and I see it as a pretty minor issue. Love that this shampoo doesn't strip my hair. It's always an issue with dry, curly hair. I highly recommend giving it a try!

After the suggestion of a product junkie friend of mine I decided to give this a whirl, and now I'm hooked. I have a bad case of dry scalp and I need to wash my hair every other day and even then sometimes everyday because of how itchy my hair gets, but this product took that away, this shampoo and American Dream have done wonders! I can't wait to try some of the other more Curly Hair based products. I am totally hooked!!!

This is the worst curly hair product I've ever used. There are no moisturizing properties effective in this product for those with curly hair. It was extremely drying, harsh and ineffective. The coconut shavings contained in this product was a horrible idea to place inside a curly hair product. The shavings become tangled within the curls no matter how many times i rinsed and combed out.

I have been struggling with a flaky itchy scalp for 20 years now and have tried everyproduct under the sun, including medicated ones, all natural/organic ones, tea tree etc. I had even tried some of the other lush products made for an itchy/flaky scalp. All these products would either not really help and then either dry my hair out or make it greasy (although the other lush products did work much better). Then I decided to try out curly Wurly reluctantly as I though it would make me greasy and worson my problem. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and Let me tell you my scalp coudn't be happier (and this is in new england fall weather when things usually get worse). It cleans very well, my hair is shiny and voluminous. It moisturizes my hair and scalp-but even after 2 days of not washing there was no greasiness. My natural waves have come out-and they look amazing. I cannot wait to give as gifts to my friends and family and hopefully convert them as well. You do have to rub in with water to get the lather going and then rinse out thoroughly to get the coconut pieces out. and once every 1-2 weeks I try to do a hair treatment with snake oil and then wash with BIG instead. But this product has saved my scalp.

I seriously love this product. I have very thick, wavy hair that dries out very easily. I also live in a very dry, high -altitude climate that greatly affects the health of my hair. Since using this product, the health and overall appearance of my hair has improved greatly. My hair feels so soft after using this product, as well as giving it great shine and volume. It's extremely moisturizing, so I wouldn't recommend this to someone who tends to have oily hair. But for anyone who has thick, curly hair that dries out very easily or needs to be tamed, this is definitely for you!

Absolutely love this product. This was my first Lush product after being introduced to CW by a friend. It's the perfect treatment for my dry, wavy yet frizzy hair. I use it instead of my regular shampoo (which is now Seanik) about twice a week. All you need is a small amount because it lathers super well. Besides making my hair super luxurious, the smell is heaven on Earth! I cannot get enough of CW and recommend it to anyone who loves coconut, has dry/damanged/parched/frizzy hair.

I absolutely love this shampoo! I was at Lush the other day picking up my moisturizer and the girl there was talking to me about hair products. When I described my hair type to her (wavy, curly, thick and frizzy), she immediately pointed me towards Curly Wurly. She gave me a sample and so far I've used it twice. The samples are more than generous. I will easily get four or five uses out of it, and that is saying a lot considering the thickness of my hair. I usually have to use a ton of product to feel that I am truly cleaning my hair. But with this product I only have to use a small amount. It lathers very well for a natural shampoo, but don't expect too much. The smell is absolutely amazing as well, like coconut and vanilla. But the best part is that this shampoo leaves my hair soft and shiny. The smell lingers for the couple of days in between my hair washing, which is amazing! I've been keeping my hair in a bun for the past couple days, but even when I take it down my curls and waves are soft, defined and NOT FRIZZY! So overall, I absolutely LOVE this shampoo and will most definitely be buying it again and again!
Oh and also, I know that some people complained about the pieces of coconut. They're definitely in there, but I don't have a problem getting them out of my hair. I usually run a wide toothed comb through my hair in the shower to minimize tangles later, and this easily removes any of the remaining coconut pieces.

This product is great! I was a little dubious when I first saw it, since the consistency is strange. It's pretty solid, and it has little chunks of actual coconut in it, but my curly-haired sales associate swore buy it and it smelled amazing (like sweet coconut), so I gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did! I have pretty curly (not coiled, but definitely not just wavy) hair, but it's also very thick and fine and color-treated, which means it's prone to frizz. This shampoo works wonders. My hair smells amazing and my frizz is nearly gone. The shampoo DOES lather, but you have to put it on your palms and rub it between your hands to soften it before applying it to wet hair. Rub it in, and it lathers up nicely! It is strange to rinse out clumps of coconut, and it does leave my shower a little messy, but it rinses away and doesn't leave a residue, and I never have bits left in my hair after my shower like some other reviewers have noted. Definitely repurchasing!

I love a certain expensive beauty shop, but their hair products just weren't cutting it. I went to my local grocery store and bought $5 products that were similar--cheaper, but also not making any difference to my hair. I decided to risk it and pick up Curly Wurly even though I have straight hair--and I literally could feel a huge difference the FIRST TIME I rinsed! Huge difference.

I am in my 40s and I recently moved to a hard-water city. So not only is my color a bit faded with age, but the water was making my hair even more faded as well as rough, dull, and frizzy. It's been hard to combat all those factors, and Curly Wurly's the BEST product I've found. I didn't even believe something with natural ingredients could make a difference.

It does have real coconut bits in it, so be sure to rinse thoroughly. I paired this with the Retread conditioner, and I do feel the conditioner could do a better job. But anyone with dull, fragile, frizzy, or lifeless hair, seriously give this a try. It seems expensive but a little goes a long way and the difference will be totally worth it!

I love this shampoo. I have thick, curly and course hair. It is also VERY dry and frizzy. I definitely had those "BAD HAIR DAYS" Not any more!!! Curly Wurly makes my hair so soft and manageable. I LOVE IT and for once in my life I LOVE MY HAIR!! I kept trying to get my daughter to try it, but she was sold on the Wen product. She finally tried it and now a full bottle of Wen is in the shower while my Curly Wurly is disappearing fast!! Must reorder!!

I bought this product hoping it would make my curly hair less frizzy and have more defined curls. I haven't noticed a difference in my hair while using this product. It smells ok but its kind of hard to use. Its very sticky, it doesn't lather, and when you wash it out, little pieces (that look like rice) are left in your hair.

Well, it's chocked full of fantastic ingredients that are meant to moisturize the hair, however, did not seem to do that for me. It lathered well, and the texture did not bug me, but I felt like my hair was left....stripped of moisture, not full of it. Trichomania leaves my hair feeling soft after I use it, that is not the case with Curly Wurly. I'll be sticking to Trichomania. :)

Real bummer I usually use Godiva or Big I switch off now and then.i recently got a loose perm and needed a new shampoo after reading reviews I went for curly wurly and I'm really bummed! Major coconut pieces in my shower drain leaves my hair flat and dull. Love all things lush but this was a Debbie downer for sure. Funny now that I think of it the sales associate mentioned she didn't like any of the lush shampoos that should have been " the little voice"

I have long, thick, curly hair and always struggle to find effective products to tame my unruly mane. This product is great. I wash my hair 2-3 times per week using this and Retread conditioner, and my hair feels soft and looks less frizzy. I don't find the coconut pieces to be an issue since I rinse well initially, then comb Retread through my hair in the shower, then rinse again. I also use Jasmine and Henna Fluff-ease every so often...love it, too!

Yikes. I tried curly wurly and hated it. I got a bunch of coconut pieces in my hair and it was horrible. it didn't lather at all and it just tangled my hair. I immediately used a detangler, washed my hair with I love Juicy and conditioned. I'm sure it works for some people but it really got my hair in knots and I hate that more than anything.

My hair is curly and very very frizzy and dry. I started usining this shampoo off an on about 2 years ago and now i'm a curly wurly-aholic. I shower every other day and i alternate between curly wurly and Cynthia Sylivia Stout shampoo. Curly Wurly makes your hair smell AWESOME and leaves it soft.

I purchased this product because my wavy hair tends to frizz, especially in the summer when the air is humid. I used Curly Wurly and I was amazed at how easy it was to use, and how little product I needed. After I dried my hair, however, I noticed little pieces of the shampoo were still stuck in my hair and were falling on the floor. I rinsed thoroughly so I was a bit concerned, but once I saw the end result I was very happy. I would definitely recommend this product, just have a vacuum nearby!
