I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair as I have since I began using Daddy-O. It not only cleans well but smells delicious and gives a bright silvery sheen to my gray. This purple treasure will be on my regular Lush list from now on. You deserve a big bucket of roses for making a fifty-ish lady feel gorgeous!

When I got this product in the mail, I sniffed it and was very unsure about it. I didn't really like the smell at all. Then I put a teeny bit of it in my hand, and found out it lathered my whole head! And I have a lot of hair. A lot. And let's not forget: PURPLE BUBBLES! AHH! So much fun :) After my hair dried, the smell was much different. I really like how it smells on me, but I hate smelling it straight out of the bottle. Same with Retread conditioner. Don't judge Lush products by the way they smell straight out of the container! Give them a chance!

This stuff is so wonderful. My hair ends up looking shiny, feeling super soft and untangled and smells so wonderful it's ridiculous. I would recommend this to everyone even if you're not blonde.

When I first tried this shampoo I bought the smallest size. I regret that; I should have ordered the biggest one! I have really curly, thick hair that's somewhat coarse...naturally dull. Daddyo made it shiny AND I don't have to use a conditioner to untangle it. Best part is the scent [which is why I wanted to try it in the first place]. Totally violet, and it stays with you all day. I've had so many compliments on how my hair smells that it's too many to keep track of. Even strangers in line at the store have noticed! Don't get me wrong, it's not overpowering at all, but people will be lured in for a better whiff! Daddyo doesn't lather real well, but you get used to it and it won't even matter compared to all the benefits.

I'm an Asian girl with long straight black hair + very sensitive skin. Sales associates at local Lush store recommended me to use other products like Rehab and I did but Rehab dried my hair and skin out. Felt sorry for me, one sale associate gave me couple samples to try, including Daddy-O. And then Daddy-O just turned out to be perfect! It definitely added shine to my hair and it does never irritate my skin nor dries it out. It might have been produced for blondes but just want to give Asians heads up... Oh and I love the smell. Love it even more with American Cream!

I love Daddy-O! I have thin white blonde hair. It isn't too thick and cleans my hair without weighing it down. It smells fantastic as well.

Firstly, it smells BEAUTIFUL. It makes me smell like a field of violets, and it's long-lasting, which I adore and look for in a hair product. I use it in conjunction with American Cream, which is the kingpin of delicious scents. But I've found the shampoo to be rather drying on my hair, and very tangling. No bueno.

My dark brown hair is very long and thick. Although it's usually healthy, it often lacks shine and looks dull. Paired with Happy Happy Joy Joy, my hair has never looked shinier! I got a ton of compliments on both the shine, the amazing fragrance and the color. It also does a decent job with flyaways and freeze, which is a plus for me since I only airdry. My only qualm is that my hair dries pretty flat, with little volume.

Before this I was using Fair Trade Honey Shampoo and American Cream. This combo was great all around, (shine, no frizz and volume) I just wanted something new. I may just alternate shampoos because I literally can't make up my mind. Get a sample if you're not sure, but this shampoo is kind of amazing.

I am IN LOVE with this shampoo! Not only has it made my hair less heavy, but it's added shine and life to it I've never really seen. And this is coming from someone who's been bleaching their hair for about a year. I'm quitting the bleach now because this shampoo has lightened my roots to such a nice ashy blonde that I love over the bleached color. My hair is also a love shinier.
However, it does dry my hair out when in the shower. Enough that I feel like if I don't use conditioner, it'll feel that way once dry, but I haven't really tested this theory out yet.
A lot of people complain about the smell, but honestly, I love the smell. I use the veganese conditioner along with this shampoo and I've gotten all sorts of compliments on how good I smell and I tell them it's my hair. I let them smell my hair as proof and they agree that's what they were smelling. I don't know what it is that I like so much about the smell, but I get a nostalgic feeling about it that makes me love it.
I don't think I'm ever going to use a different shampoo. This one just takes the cake.

I have what I like to call "combination" hair: oily roots, normal "middle" hair with very dry ends. It's not straight, not curly, wavy in some spots but not in others. I have to wash it every day because of my oily scalp. Basically a stringy mess that doesn't know what it wants to be. It does easily blow dry straight, but all that blow drying & washing does make for some dry ends. My hair is naturally a dark blonde/light mousy brown & I get light blonde highlights every couple of months. All that washing & coloring not only dry my hair out, but it also makes my blonde strands turn that dreaded brassy yellow color. I had been using another name brand "purple" shampoo to combat this problem, but I only used it about once or twice a week due to the fact that it did nothing else for my hair except keep the brassiness away. In terms of moisturizing & manageability, it did nothing. After reading the reviews, I decided to try Daddy-O hoping that it would do what the other wouldn't, but sadly it did not. Aside from having a slightly better smell, it had the same effect on my hair as the other name brand did. It kept away the brassiness but that's it. So I've decided just to stick with the other name brand, as I can get a larger amount of it for less & don't have to pay shipping.

I adore this shampoo. I've been using LUSH for years and about 6 months ago I was talked into buying DaddyO ( I have naturally blonde hair and was looking for a new shampoo as I was unhappy with what I was using). I love it. I like the smell and it really makes my blonde hair look shiny. I have wavy, relatively thick hair and use Veganese in addition to DaddyO.

I dont know about anyone else, but when i tried to find a decent smelling shampoo from lush, this was the only one that seemed to smell better than others. Even though at first, the smell made me think of hospital medicine but i somehow was attracted to its fragrance. I love this product and i also love the little fact that it turns into a pastel purple color in the shower.I don't need to put a lot of pproduct on my hair because it seems to get the job done with a small amount! i am very pleased with this product!

You just need a tiny bit of this shampoo to make your hair soft and give it the most gorgeous smell for at least 2 days. I know this shampoo is for lighter hair but I use it for my dark brown hair and it's great!

I have finer, long blond hair that I highlight about every five-six weeks. Although I just started coloring my hair only a few months ago, I always find that my highlights look great for a few days, and then start to fade quite quickly. I decided to try DaddyO after a friend recommended it to me, as she colors her blond hair as well, as said it made a difference in her hair. And I have to say, she was totally right! Not only does it keep my blond hair & hghlights from fading; but it also adds a ton of shine without making my hair oily or greasy. The purple color of the shampoo doesn't mark or dye your hair, and it washes out like any other shampoo. I usually don't use a conditioner with this shampoo, but when I do, I use the Okra conditioner, and it makes the great smell of DaddyO even more amazing! The scent will literally last until the next shower. My highlights always look like the day I got them done, and because of that, mixed with the added shine and softness of my hair, I will continue to use DaddyO and highly recommend it.

I'm a brunette with very dark, almost black, hair that is nowhere even close to blonde, but I love Daddy-O, too!

Although it is designed to be a toning shampoo to remove brassiness from blonde and gray hair, I was drawn to it anyway, for both the purple color (my favorite!) and because it is supposed to make hair shiny.

After trying out a sample of it for three days, I can safely say that I am obsessed. The intense purple color does make the shampoo look like a glob of paint in your hand, but that's what makes it fun :) I also really love the smell (despite the fact that I am NOT a floral-scent person), and I love that it lasts in the hair until the next shower. My fiance even commented on how good my hair smelled! Another thing is that I find this shampoo to lather the best out of all of the LUSH shampoos that I have tried, if that is important to you.

In terms of results, Daddy-O did NOT dry out my hair at all and after just one use my hair shone like glass. No joke. A beautiful, icy shine like I have never gotten before from ANY shampoo I have ever used. Plus, after three days of using it, my hair became noticeably softer and silkier than before.

On a side note, as for the toning properties, my hair might just be too dark or perhaps I didn't use the shampoo for a long enough duration, but I didn't notice any real difference in hair color. Keep in mind that it is not designed to *lighten* hair, but to *brighten* it by removing orange-y tones.

Bottom line? I will definitely be buying a bottle soon!

I have naturally blonde hair that darkens a bit in the winter. I used to lighten my hair with lemon juice + sun every month or so. Ever since I started using this, I haven't needed to do anything else to keep my blonde light and bright (excuse the rhyme, haha)!

Keep in mind, this is a great product if you want to lighten and enhance highlights and color, but don't expect a full color change. Also, I found that the shampoo did not lather too well, and I suspect it dried out my already dry/damaged hair a bit. I started using it along with my other shampoo (I mix the two in my palm), in order to get more lather and moisture in my hair. I found that this did not make much, if any difference in the results I got, and if anything I get a lot more use out of each bottle!
