Dear John

I just got this in the mail and my original thought was that it smelled like gingerbread cookies or Thanksgiving ham with cloves. It isn't what I expected. Now that it's been on for a while it just started smelling more like a musk scent, which is very nice.

Overall, I'd say this smell reminds me most of winter or fall. Now that it's in the 90s where I am it almost makes me feel too warm to wear regularly.

I can't get enough of this scent, when I put this on I can't help smelling myself all the time! Another reviewer said she wanted this on her body all the time....I feel the same way! Yes this is a masculine scent, but it smells good on a woman too. It has a very fresh lime, citrusy smell with a hint of coffee. It's very sexy, I wish they would make a body lotion or a bubble bar (or anything for that matter) with this fragrance!

I ordered this product on a whim as my favorite perfume was Vanillary. Now Dear John is definitely my new crush and I use it everyday. Believe it or not, it smells remarkably like warm gingersnap cookies with a hint of sharp coffee on me. I seriously have people ask if I carry cookies with me. I like warm scents, and to me, this scent isn't musky or heavy. Boyfriend likes it quite a bit, says its pretty, sensual, and sexy. Definitely recommend to everyone.

I just got my full size Dear John. I want this all over my body all the time. I fell in love with it in the sampler set... It mellows into my skin so well. I get lots of compliments, and I caught my husband sniffing me the other day! It is just the perfect fragrance for me. Now I just need a lotion, a bath bomb, and maybe a Schnuggle-like body butter in this fragrance!!!

So many descriptions of Lush's perfumes elude me, but this one is dead on. Warm, earthy, comforting, somewhat masculine, but women can wear it too (at least I do.) I can smell all the notes; citrus, coffee and cedar, it smells like living in the country. So nice to have a scent that isn't sweet or overwhelming and is both complex and natural. My new favorite Lush perfume, hands down.

I got this with my exclusive sample set. And I wanted to try all the perfumes on, well this i was hesitent cause it seemed more like a guys thing. Well I really like it, i love the coffee hint to it and just the 'warmth'.

I recommend women to try this just as much as the men.

This is a totally original and absolutely sensational fragrance. I know it's designed for men, but the truth is that (just like Exhale) it's universally appealing and captivating. I love the warmth and spiciness of the scent, which makes it sexy AND reassuring at the same time. It's one of those fragrances that always lifts my spirits. Please, please, please make other products with this fragrance! A *Dear John*-scented massage would be out of this world.

This is THE perfect man's scent - and so warm and rich and evocative that it's a perfect way to keep reminders of your sweetie-pie around even when he's not there. I spray it on my sheets and pillow, spritz the bathroom before I take a hot bath - it's impossible to describe just how reassuring, sexy, complex, and yet sweetly comforting this scent is. It's really one of those aromas you have to experience for yourself before you can believe what an effect it has.
This scent is perfect just the way it is, but I REALLY wish Lush would put out a full line of bath and body products to accompany the perfume. A massage bar with the Dear John fragrance would be out of this world! A bubble bar, a dusting powder (yes, men use dusting powders, too!) Please, Lush, please consider this! I'm sure it's too late for this Christmas but maybe next year . . . . .?
