I don't wear makeup because I'm a natural gal, and I try to stay away from the chemicals and preservatives in makeup. When I saw that Lush began making lip gloss, I was elated! I went to the store and tried on a few, and I fell in love with Decisive. I was wary of trying a red gloss since I'm a medium brown color, but it looked gorgeous. Really made my plump lips stand out, which I love. Worn with nothing else, it doesn't flake or make your lips dry, which is different from my past experiences with lipstick. It's matte and classic alone. Worn with a lip balm, it has a slight sheen. And it lasts ALL DAY, and can get all over everything your lips touch. Have fun trying to get it off when you get home!

This color really isn't a "cherry red" at all, it's more like a violently intense pink. It lasts for hours and hours (the longest lasting lipstick I've ever tried), but with the applicator, it's impossible to get it to look right on the first try, mistakes are permanent. Don't even bother trying without a lip brush. The bright pink looked terrible on me, but no amount of scrubbing would get the color out of my lip lines. I have found that the color can make a nice blush if you use the teensiest amount, but it doesn't work for me as a lipstick, at all. For such an expensive lipstick, I was disappointed.

After years of despising makeup, at age 20, I finally decided that it was time for me to test the waters. I went to my local mall to go to some poshy makeup place that I had heard about. While looking for it, I discovered Lush. I immediately fell in love with the products. I went over to the makeup counter to learn how to do my makeup by myself for the first time, and this was the first thing I put on. I have a fairly fair complexion and plump lips, so this looked great on me. It was easy to put on, though it could be a little messy, and it looked great on me! It lasted all day and I couldn't stop looking in the mirror. <3

I am a very fair and cool-toned blonde who has difficulty finding the perfect red for me, and this suits me extremely well. It's a blue-based red shading into pink, which lightens it just enough to not be overwhelming on my complexion. This is a great red if you tend to find a lot of reds just a little too dark on you, in my opinion.

For daily use, this can absolutely be worn as a much lighter color by just dabbing a bit in the center of the lips and using a brush to cover your lips. It doesn't last nearly as long when you do, though; it's completely gone after lunch if I do. I think overall it's much better as an intense red for night wear. I just have other lipsticks that do the daily stuff better, to be honest. Still looking for the perfect cool nude pink that isn't too dark or supposed to fade my lips into nonexistence for me though - hint, hint, hint, Lush.

It's a little drying, but it's durable enough to be layered with your favorite moisturizer, so on the whole I'm less bothered by that than I could be.

What really bothers me about this is the application. Red is a really unforgiving color in terms of sneaking out of the lines, and it definitely has a tendency to do so. The applicator is one of the worst I've used in terms of that as well, and I tend to prefer liquid lipsticks' applicators. I can make it work, but I'm not sure I could if I didn't have years of experience of using them every single morning before caffeine. This is not a product I'd advise for people inexperienced with makeup, unfortunately.

I am a HUGE fan of Lush but this product is disappointing. I love love love red lipsticks and have expensive tubes as well as $7 drug store brands and I prefer both to this product. For the price, the applicator and packaging don't have that lux makeup feel, I instead feel as if I am putting on child's play makeup. The color runs and smudges everywhere. It is a disaster. And it cakes/flakes after wearing it too long.

This is a beautiful red with some blue undertones. The formula is very rich, and not drying lasting a long time unlike other 8 hour or all day lip colors on the market. My lips never feel like the are dry or having all of the mositure sucked out of them.

Only complaint is that it tends to bleed a little around the lip line. Going to try one of those lip bases that are suppose to keep your lipstick from fading around the edges to see if it helps.

Overall, great product.

This was the first red lipstick I've ever purchased and I'm so pleased, it's a beautiful red with blue undertones. The application is easy and the container is unique. The pigment lasts forever, it's a matte finish but doesn't make your lips dry out. Only con, this is the thickest formula of all the lip colours, and the applicator can break off inside, but it wasn't the end of the world for me.

I have never worn lip color, and I decided to try after Lush introduced Emotional Brilliance. I started with Believe, a beautiful pink. When I was ready to advance to a bright red, the Lush Representative helped me pick out Decisive. I wore it to work and I have never received so many compliments. It's a beautiful, even, sophisticated red with cool undertones to go with my pale skin. I only had to re-apply it after lunch. Thank you, Lush, for making me feel glamorous!

I am a red lipstick junkie, so I was super excited about the intensity of the pigment in this lipstick. I have trouble with the applicator; every time I wear it I end up cleaning up the edges with a tissue or a cotton swab. Until it sinks in, the color comes off easily. For the first half hour or so after I apply this, I can't take a sip of coffee or accidentally brush my mouth with my hand (or scarf, or coat, or anything...) or it will smudge off onto whatever I happen to be clumsily waving around. However, once the color sets in, it is there to stay! My lips are always really dry (I live in a high desert), so I like that I can layer on lip balm over this color without wrecking the look. Overall, the gorgeous blue-based red color is worth it, but I'd be really excited to see it in packaging with a more friendly applicator. Deep reds like this are really not forgiving for any tiny mis-applications!

I don't wear a lot of lipstick (or even lip gloss) and I tend to have a love/hate relationship with red lip colors. I love them in principle (and think they look great on other people), but they can make me a little self-conscious (I don't particularly like having attention drawn to myself). When I saw Decisive, though, I knew that I had to have it. A rich red lip color that's vegan? Yes, please! I may not wear it every day, but it'll be nice to have for days when I'm feeling bold.

It's fairly rare to find vegan red lipsticks to begin with (thanks to the ubiquity of carmine as a colorant), but to find one that's opaque and pigmented but still a liquid/cream is even more unusual. I expected fairly good pigmentation from this lip color, but I was blown away. A tiny little dab covers both lips with an even, opaque layer of color. I do find that I need to be a little careful about putting on a thin enough layer (otherwise it can smear if I rub my lips together), but the application is still very easy, even for an admitted amateur like me.

The finish is almost entirely matte, but it doesn't make my lips look dry and flaky like most matte-finish lip colors do. I think it would be beautiful with a touch of gloss over top, but I haven't tried going that route yet. The color is a true vintage cherry red with pink undertones. Not quite over the top fire engine red, but still a bold, intense color.

I also love the multi-purpose aspect of these colors. I don't wear blush very often, but I'm partial to red blushes when I do wear them, so I'm sure Decisive will be awesome as a cheek color, as long as I'm careful with my application (it's going to be easy to get clown cheeks, thanks to the intense pigmentation).

I love this. I put it on every morning and only reapply it once after lunch. Long lasting and gentle to your lips. Does not dry or make your lips peel. Pricey but worth it

I use decisive as a lipstick and it is a beautiful color! However at the store it looked more red and when I got home I saw that it had more of a reddish pink tone to it. I was hoping for more of a true red but it is intensely pigmented!

I'm on a business trip in New Zealand, and had to stop into the local LUSH store here for a storage tin. As usual, I never *just* buy the thing I went in for, and for a change, I'm *thrilled* that the lovely young woman at the store introduced me to this line.

I bought both the "Decisive" lip color (which looks quite red in the bottle, but is a bit pinky red on.. it's very flattering, albeit a strong color - which I like!) and the "Independent" Eye liner. I haven't used the eyeliner yet, but I have had the lip color on for a few hours now, and have eaten a meal.

The staying power of this stuff is fantastic. Often when something has this kind of staying power, it's very matte and feels dry on my lips. Not this. I can't get over it, and love the fact that you can layer the color to achieve the depth that you want. Great product!
