This product smelled amazing and the scent lasted a while as well. However, when I went to rub my hands together to wash them, my hands sorta stuck together. I don't know what that was all about, but I'm sure to buy this product again!

I got this soap as a sample when I ordered a billion other things off the site, and I LOVED it! It smelled sooo good that all the other things I got seemed average. I really loved the way it made my skin feel so now I'm buying a huge chunk :)

Before LUSH, I was anti-bar soap. Any kind of bar soap. HATED it. Even the fancy, expensive kind left a residue I could feel. But Demon in the Dark was forced on me by a friend, and I am SO GLAD. The smell is AMAZING, so crisp and invigorating and sensual. It lathers really well, especially with a loofah and the smell stays with me for hours (I know some reviewers disagree, but I could smell it throughout the day. That was part of the appeal). The wax is frustrating, but as long as the bar isn't melty or wet when you go to peel, it isn't that big of a deal. And: no sticky residue. Just a pleasant smelling-clean. I love it so much.

This soap smells sooo good!!! I love it! I use this every day in the shower and depending on my mood, it wakes me up or calms me down!This soap also looks super cool! I love that you can mostly smell mint on it. The ONLY complaint I have is having to peel off that black wax! it got all under my fingers. But it's a small price to pay for all that loveliness!

I absolutely love this soap-- it smells great, and it really leaves your skin feeling clean and tingly. However, if you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend using it on your face. Also, the black wax can be a little bothersome, but I find that if you don't leave the soap in a consistantly damp environment (ex, IN your shower), you can just use the soap til it wears down to the wax and just throw that out.

This soap has a nice spearmint and citrus scent. I don't quite get the point of the black wax, I think they could have just used a black dye and gotten the same effect.

I got this as a sample in one of my orders and I was suprised that it was so light in color. The piece I got was light in color and looked speckled. The scent was pleasent but faint. Took a bit to get foamy and the small piece got very soft once it hit the water. Maybe I got a dud, but I won't be purchasing.

When I can afford it, I use it every day. I do not remove 1 layer of the wax because it keeps the soap from intact ~ and I don't drop the soap in the shower. Its a great soap for my sons because they have sensitive skins and their rashes are not irritated by this soap. I love my showers with the Demon!!!

This soap is absolutely stunningly gorgeous - the next time I buy it it'll be for the guest bathroom. It's got a really unique, subtle smell, something of mint and woodsiness. It lathers really well and has lasted me over a month now. My only real gripe is the layer of wax on the outside. How do you get it off? Why is it there? It just makes this soap really hard to use and give as a gift.

This soap is absolutely wonderful. It smells much milder than the description would lead you to believe but it smells so good!!!! Its a bit sweeter than just mint with a little bit of the apple coming through. If you only peel a little of the wax off at a time, it will last FOREVER. The only reason I am not buying this again is because its difficult to carry soap from your dorm room to the shower every day in a shower caddy, so I am switching to a gel.

I love love love this soap!! I recommend it to all my friends that struggle with oily skin and acne problems. I personally enjoy the crisp minty smell and it even help open up the sinuses during allergy season. I know it is never recommended but I also use it to wash my face, I have frightfully oily skin and this helps soak up some oil. However, I don't live anywhere near a lush store so I have to ship everything that's my only negitive.

This is a great soap, i love the smell and it's a favorite of mine... but that wax covering is annoying! It's impossible to remove! I could do without it. Otherwise, this product is a keeper.

i got this soap as a free sample from lush.. my god the name drew me to it the smell drew me more and that draw was perfect. i got home took a shower it was wonderful the smell though didnt last long after i got out not much in the way of Moisturizing but other then that i love it the mint smeel is pleasent. it also called to my goth side.. which is all my sides. lol but i am afraid it won last long with how many showers i take.

Soap, to me, is "yes mmhmm, okay, whatever" I generally don't like the smell entirely, and I don't care for how it feels on my skin. This however, is breakthrough for me (to the point where I find an excuse to take an extra bath or shower just to use it). It cleans incredibly, and even when I'm not using, I will go out of my way to smell it. Perfection :)

At first, the appearance and description of Demon made me a bit wary about trying it (but with a name like that, I couldn't help it!). Once it got here, I felt silly for doubting it. The bar lasted for what seemed like forever, and the scent is amazing without being overpowering. Considering that I caught my boyfriend using it a few times, I would recommend it as a great unisex scent.

I could see how, if you're not crazy about mint or apple (I am, though), the scent might take a little getting used to, but, nevertheless, it's an outstanding soap.

I bought this soap a little unsure. This is the 1st product I have ever bought from any lush stores. What drew me in was the look of it-its just plain cool, and also the scent. I don't like overpowering perfume scented type things, but this isn't one of them. The smell is minty and fresh. It really smells like mint leaves picked fresh from the outside. I didn't notice it lather a lot, but it still cleaned well. As well as regular cleaning, I also used this for shaving my legs. It was moisturizing and left my skin really cleaned and refreshed feeling. It did not leave any filmy, dry, or harsh residues like other soaps I have used. While a little pricey, this soap is worth it. My only con is that when used everyday, it disappears quickly.

My old roommate used to use this, I tried it a couple times. It wasn't horrible, and it did smell good, but I feel as though the smell would be better suited for a man. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin which is a plus, and it lathered/cleaned very well. It didn't remove all my makeup, which is another reason I feel this would be better suited for a man. I'm going to be picking some of this up for my husband this weekend.

I used it in the shower after buying a whole bar. The smell is minty and every once in a while I detect the apple through the overpowering mint. The soap is pretty, and I feel clean, so that is a plus. I probably won't buy it again. I just kind of want to give sample to my friends and use it up so I can get to the scents i really like. Guess I am just more of a citrus person.

I sought out this soap after merely reading a description of the scent - both minty AND fruity. When I smelled it in the store, I couldn't wait to use it. The first problem was the wax. You can't really peel it away with your fingers, so I used a knife. I wound up cutting away too much and wasting too much of this expensive indulgence. Then there were little wax bits that come off in the shower and make a mess - and probably gunk up the drain. I loved the minty feel on my skin, but it produced very little lather (more like a slime), and the fragrance didn't linger on my skin after the shower.
