For starters, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I have natural african american hair (mostly 4a for those who go by hair type) and i have tried so many products to use for wash and go's and none of them get the job done right (leave my hair dry, cause build up, no curl definition, bad ingredients, etc.) I bought this this styling cream yesterday and worked it through my freshly washed, wet hair in the shower this morning and when I got out ad looked in the mirror, I WAS AMAZED!My hair smelled great (this product has a very natural fresh/minty smell)and looked awesome! When it was mostly dry a few hours later, my hair felt soft, had get curl definition, and was left moisturized! Couldn't ask for more! THANKS LUSH!

I have very short curly hair and typically used gel to style my hair. I decided to try this because one of the descriptions was "gives hair a wet look." Unfortunately for me, my hair looks pretty dull when I use this product. I love everything about it except the lack of shine. Leaves my hair soft but controlled, tames frizz and smells great. But no shine. That just won't do :(

I went from very long fine hair to very short hair. I bought this for my husband for Christmas but in the end grabbed it from his shelf and never returned it. I DID return the expensive item my hair stylist recommended I use. I will be heading to LUSH to get my second pot of DIRTY! It is easy to use, lightweight and allows you to sdjust your style during the day, if needed. Love this product! Thanks.

This should be renamed to "Yes, ma'am!" because it makes your hair do what you want! I was amazed when I tried it - it is what I have been looking for all my life! (and I am in my late 40's). I am a female w/ curly & fine hair which can be a difficult combo to hold a style or ever look good. This product smooths my hair, gives volume, and holds the style without making my hair greasy or flat - a combo I have never been able to see another product achieve. my friends were amazed at the difference in my appearance. I use a tiny amount, rub together on fingertips and quickly & lightly spread thru hair. Different amounts give different effects. Whoever formulated this is a genius - PLEASE don't stop making this LUSH!!!

I have a very short, messy style of hair and this is fabulous. I used to use Goth Juice or Big Tease to get the style, but they were unmoving and you couldn't re-style during the day. A little dab of Dirty and I can play and re-muss my hair all day long, smoothing down the front, spiking up the back, fluffing the whole thing around... whatever I want! And in windy Kansas weather, it'll stay where I put it, too. I have very thick, somewhat coarse hair, and this is fantastic to get it to stay "up" and where I want it without being stiff. Love, love love.

I walked into Lush and told the lady I was looking for a "styling cream that holds without making my hair hard or stiff or crunchy" and bingo she took me straight to this little pot that goes a long way with just a little dab.
For going out I scrunch it in for fun sexy volume and it keeps my side fringe in place all day. For work I sleek my hair back in a bun and it keeps the flyaways in check.
I also got my husband using this product cuz he loves the herbal scent & it's just like his drugstore styling cream, only mine is earth & animal friendly :)
I love converting people to great products with a clean conscience!

I have VERY CURLY LATINO HAIR. I used this product right out the shower after I put R&B in it. At first my hair looked limp, so I thought "Hey, let me use my blow dryer to defuse it and help with the drying process"..yeah, lets just say my mom told me I looked like the Lion from The Wizard of Oz when I came out the bathroom.

It smells GREAT (I like masculine scents), the hold is good, but for curly hair, it doesn't really make the curls stand out in a good way. It gives volume, but there's no way of styling your curly locks. However it dries is how it stays and a crazy mane is not what we curly haired chicas are looking for.

I may keep the product because the price isn't that bad and it's a good "go-to" product for quick, out the shower, up-dos, but that's it.

It also sucks for taming frizz. I think I may try the Big Tease instead, but this just wasn't for me.

this stuff is fantastic if you have short hair and you want to keep those little hairs in place. I love the hold it gives, and the smell is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a moderate hold, without the crunch. It can sometimes give a slick look, but that usually goes away, but I don't mind the slick look it's in right now!! My hubby even uses it to keep his hair styled. We both love it and the tub is big, you only need a dab.

Got this in the Dirty box set and unfortunately had to send it to a male friend as the scent is VERY masculine. A shame, because otherwise I LOVED the consistency/feel of the creme and it worked great! Great for smoothing over frizzies and made hair soft/moist. Just couldn't get past the strong manly scent all day. Also it made my scalp itch, but I have very dry/sensitive scalp so hopefully that wouldn't be an issue for most.

This is a truly unique hair product. I haven't used or seen anything like it. Not only is the smell fresh and pleasant but the hold is perfect. Add a little at the time, just to be sure not to add too much (it can get greasy).

I used Dirty Hairstyling Cream right out of the shower on my huge curly mane. When it started to dry I was thinking it was going to be too heavy. I let it completely dry and tossed it a bit and it I fell in love. I gave definition to my curl and you can't even tell it's in there. Smells of deep earthly notes. You don't need a lot. I used a quarter size because I have a lot of hair but I could've probably used less. My hair is shoulder length and usually pretty unmanageable. I'm going to wear my hair down today for the first time in months.

I was a previous LUSH employee and couldn't wait for the Dirty range to come out and I wasn't disapointed. I have naturally straight (like pin straight) hair so I really didn't think I would be getting any use out of a hair gel. I have recently started to curl my hair and Dirty is exactally what I needed to keep my hair soft, flowey, yet still hold my curls for days on end. Just as usual, LUSH didn't let me down!

I'm a R&B daily kind of girl that uses the Big Tease when I need to polish and hold my style. Dirty is the best of both worlds and smells fantastic! My wavy/curly hair looked amazing yesterday even though it was raining, and my bangs stayed straight all day!

Dirty was recommended to me by a store clerk at my dismay that Goth Juice had been discontinued. I was previously using Goth Juice mixed with R&B as a styling cream.

My first impression was that I liked the scent. It's fairly light and won't interfere with other scents you may be wearing. I'm not sure if I got a different batch or what, but my jar says it has rosemary in it and doesn't mention sandalwood or pine oil. It smells very lightly of rosemary, not even strong enough that I would have identified the scent if I hadn't read the jar.

Dirty provides great hold without making your hair stiff. I've used it by itself, which worked well, but made my hair feel dirty (aptly named?) at the end of the day and a bit waxy, but nothing bad enough to deter me from purchasing again. I tried it again, mixed with R&B the second time, and it worked just as well as Goth Juice for me without the overpowering scent.

I will begin purchasing this on a regular basis in place of Goth Juice.

I got a small size of this product in the Dirty gift set. While I like Lush's shampoo and conditioners, I've always been partial to "salon brands" when it came to styling products, so it wasn't the first product in the gift set I dug into. But when I did - wow! I am very pleased with the results. This cream works well for providing a bit of texture for my short hair when I want to wear it down for work, but it also keeps it defying gravity when I want to spike a faux-hawk and the like.

And the scent is amazing - dark, mysterious, and sexy, yet bright and woodsy at the same time. Highly recommended.

I tried the sample that came with the Dirty sample kit, and I'm very happy that I didn't spend the money to get a whole tub of this. It smells nice enough, but it leaves my hair feeling (and looking) like it hasn't been washed for a week. I certainly wouldn't consider this a good replacement for medium-hold Goth Juice, and I really hope they bring the latter back as a retro product.

I bought the gift set and received a small trial size of this product with it. After using it for two days I can say it is an "okay" product for me. I should mention that my personal desired look is more or less a messy/chunky controlled look that is not too stiff or too shiny(think Brad Pitt back when he first started dating Angelina Jolie). I have already found a product that does all that I wanted it to do but because this came with the set I decided to give it a try. It has a great scent but the holding power is somewhat lacking but still useful. In order for my hair to stay the way that I want it I have to layer on a flexible holding hairspray after using this product. It is also worth noting that in order to get the results I want I have to use a fair amount more than my usual product. I also noticed that when I get in the shower this product doesn't rinse out well with just plain water. This may not be a big deal to most guys considering that shampoo does work to get it out, but I always have found that a product that rinses out well with JUST water before you shampoo tends to be better for your hair and scalp in the long run. The price is decent so I probably will repurchase and use it for days when I want a more controlled "clean-cut" look but probably wont use on a daily routine.

I just started using Dirty and so far so good. I've found that you have to be careful with Lush hair products because they are so concentrated, if you use too much, like you would drug store hair products, your hair will not come out like you want. It takes a tiny bit on wet hair, then style, blow dry or whatever you do and you will see what it does quickly.
