I really like this bar, it has a very calm smell. Not overly earthy, very pleasant. It isn't my husband's favorite, but he also enjoys it. It smoothes very easily and quickly and lasts for a long massage. Like most other bars it takes a little while to absorb in to the skin, but once it does it is just heavenly.

This massage bar is by far the best of them all! The scent of fresh lavender is so relaxing, and just overall wonderful for an overall sense of peace. Go ahead and treat yourself, you will NOT regret this purchase!

Might be my favorite massage bar to date. It is the massage bar I use on myself when I want to relax. Great for those, I do not feel like it, days.
It is a massage bar, for massaging. Some of the scents, while nice for scenting yourself, are not really appropriate for massage. No complaints, I use those too. This is one you could feel comfortable buying and using for a massage. The scent is strong, but not too intense. Lavender is the dominant smell. I do not get licorice? It has nice slip. Does not sink in immediately after contact with the skin. The size is very nice, perfect actually. If you use these to moisturize yourself, it will last you a very long time. For massage, it is not a once and done so cut it up.
Im impressed with this one. Now I just hope it sticks around long enough for me to buy another when I need it...and so on.

The smell is fresh and herbal, like just-picked tarragon. It doesn't melt so readily like other massage bars, but it's nice because it's not as greasy. Sometimes I don't want an overpowering flower or sugary smell; this is good for feeling fresh and hugzible on days I just mill about doing chores and drinking tea, without smelling like I'm ready to be ravaged. Just hugzed.

I can't believe I waited so long to try this massage bar. To me, Ego smells almost identical to the sadly discontinued Sleepyhead bar. I use many of the massage bars and I think this is my new favorite. It smells mostly of lavender and is extremely relaxing. It also absorbs better than some of the other bars I use. I love it!

i love this massage bar, the lavender scent is really strong, it is smooth and silky. great to use before bed or whenever you want to use it. my bar didnt smell like licorice, it smelled really strong of lavender!!! perfect!

This smells a lot like a former massage bar, I think the name was sleepyhead or something like that. It has a licorice type scent, which I think is suppose to be lavender. I don't particularly care for the scent, but it's always fun to try new LUSH products.

I took a look, and it the Ego is too big to fit into any of our tins! if you use it a few times (focusing on the outside of the bar), it would eventually be able to fit into the body butter tin, but it is far too large for either the shampoo bar or the massage bar tins.Answered on 1/31/2012 by Laura from LUSH
