Mattifying fruit moisturizer

If your face is predominantly oily in your T-zone, Enzymion is the moisturizer for you! An incredible blend of astringent citrus fruits like pineapple, papaya and lemon, Enzymion mops up excess oils and literally cleanses your face of dead skin and debris built up throughout the day. Nutrient-rich avocado and evening primrose oils replenish essential vitamins and minerals. We recommend pairing Enzymion with our refreshing sea salt scrub, Ocean Salt. The result? Skin that glows from the inside out.

Features

  • For smooth, matte skin: Enzymion’s freshly squeezed fruit juices give combination or oily skin a matte finish.
  • Prep your face: Enzymion also doubles as a smoothing base or ‘primer’ under make up.
  • Juicy, juicy tropical fruit: We use fresh papaya juice to mop up excess oils and leave your face feeling clean and fresh.

I did not try Enzymion for the longest time because I obviously did not understand my skin type. I had used other companies papya creams and masks in the past with great results, but I had worried that Enzymion would be too harsh for my sensitive spotty skin - but I was wrong!
I decided to try Enzymion as an alternative to Gorgeous - I loved how effective and citrusy Gorgeous was, but I wanted something a bit more affordable for my budget to make it last longer. I started with testing Vanishing Cream, which was great for daytime wear, but I still had a lot of shine. When I heard that Enzymion was renowned to matte skin, I figured, why not give it a try?
Enzymion felt like a spa treatment the second I put it on, and smelled very clean and fresh, in fact it reminded me of my Marilyn hair mask! What was even better after the first try of Enzymion, my spots looked diminished! I had to take a picture right away! I have never seen my skin look this good without makeup or concealer! I would definitely suggest giving this a try. I like that it is thick/creamy and citrusy like Gorgeous, but it is in a more affordable price tier for most consumers now a days in this economy!
I still have yet to find a skin care routine that only sticks with one LUSH moisturizer, but I have a feeling that if I had to make a snap decision based on how great my skin looks after using Enzymion - I would probably go with this one! It seems like the best of all worlds!

Okay, let me just say I have extremely oily skin on my t-zone. My cheeks are not dry, so I don't consider myself as a combination skin type. For me, this did nothing, NOTHING, towards "mattifying" my oily skin, nothing at all. If anything, it made me feel more greasy than usual and I definitely had a more glistening shine! I do not recommend this, it's way to thick to be for oily skin, in my opinion.

Oh! For this product, even though I dislike it, it has amazing coverage, 3 little touches of it on my forehead and cheeks, and I can easily rub it into my temples, nose, chin, everywhere!
Ps. I use this in combination with a non-Lush cleanser (so I won't name it here), Lush's Tea Tree Water Toner and Grease Lightening - which can I just say is such a victim of false advertising.

I'll also add a picture just to prove I own this, because I know I would trust someone's opinion knowing for sure they have the product, lol.

When I first started using this product, I had a bit of a sunburn. This moisturizer was so soothing to put on and has improved the overall health of my skin over time. My skin is softer to the touch, I don't break out like I used to, and I've actually noticed that the fine lines around my eyes are fading a bit.

    Absolutely love this moisturizer!

      Comments about LUSH Enzymion:

I bought this product thinking that it would be a life saver because I have been reading the reviews and how this product is suppose to take away the access oil away from your face, because I have been having a huge problem with black heads recently. Well all this product did was make my even skin worse, more blackheads & more acne and I have combination skin and it has never really been oily. All this product did was make my skin even oilier. It doesn't even completely dry on my face even though it's a lightweight moisturizer. The only thing that is good about this product to me is that it smells good, and this product isn't on the cheaper side either. And I didn't buy it just for the smell. Wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends. But I still love lush, and all of my other products have been fine!

I've had awful acne since I was 12, I'm now 25. I have tried every product, lotion, cleanser, toner - you name it, I've tried it. I've tried different moisturizers to quench my dry skin before applying foundation, but could never find one that didn't feel like it was suffocating my skin or that could contain my oily prone skin. I accepted the fact that my skin would always be problematic. I stumbled into Lush one day and told the sales associate my woes. He suggested I try enzymion. I was a bit taken back by the price, but hesitantly tried anyways. I was amazed at how light weight it is but yet my skin looks hydrated after putting it on. I can hardly tell when it's on and I love that. I use it in the morning under my make up and at night before bed. It absorbs quickly and keeps my skin looking great all day. I've been using this moisturizer now for 2 1/2 weeks and my skin is clearing up dramatically. I can't believe it's my skin, it's not dry, flaky and red from irritation. For once in my life I'm not embarrased to not wear foundation, I can honestly say it's a first for me. This is easily worth it's weight in gold and I'm so happy I found this product.

I love this moisturizer! I'm normally cheap when it comes to.. well everything, so I thought this was pretty pricey, but after seeing the demonstration in the store and realizing just how much I HATE how oily my face can get, I bought it. Glad I did because I put some on this morning and my face is still matte. (:

            Comments about LUSH Enzymion:

I've always avoided using moisturizers. My skin is VERY oily all over and anytime I try a new product (especially a moisturizer, it seems,) I'm risking a huge, multiple week long breakout.

But I'm SO glad I gave this a shot. The girl working at Lush really wanted to make me a sample when I told her about my skin and my fear/avoidance of moisturizers. I've heard the whole "If you don't moisturize, your skin overcompensates by producing more oil" explaination many times, but I was still hesitant to use it.

I've been using it 2x a day along with the Dark Angels cleanser for 5 days now (plus 2x using the Cupcake mask total) and my skin literally hasn't looked this good since I was at the end of a long and painful Accutane treatment 3 years ago because my acne was so severe. My skin looks so healthy, not oily, my skin color is completely even, and it feels really good, too.

The only product relatively similar to a moisturizer I use is Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer. It doesn't make me breakout and helps my makeup go on really smooth and evenly (I also use bare minerals foundation) but my face ends up looking really greasy only a few hours into the day. Since I got this sample from Lush I've been wearing it under my foundation and my skin doesn't get shiney and my foundation goes on just as smoothly and my skin seems to look more natural than it did with the Prime Time.

I think it's a little bit expensive, but I imagine 1.5 oz would go a long way since I need less than a pea sized amount to spread over my entire face and down my neck. The Prime Time is about $20 and only lasts 3 months so I think I'll be heading out to lunch to buy this ASAP before my sample runs out!

I was not too pleased with my previous Lush moisturizer purchases, but Enzymion is exactly what I was searching for. I have sensitive skin and Celestial was initially suggested; however, it was too thick and I could not adjust. I also tried Vanishing and Imperialis, but noticed the shiny film that covered my face after application. I had almost given up on Lush moisturizers, but decided to give Enzymion a try.

I am shocked how glare free my face is during the day and love seeing my skin healing when I wake up. I only need a touch of this to cover my entire face; therefore, this is a great investment that will last at least half a year.

Nice and light, but definitely moisturizing. I have oily skin and suffer from acne, but the Enzymion is not heavy, and it adds just the right of moisture to your skin. I pair this with the Tea Tree Water and my skin feels very refreshed.

This is NOT for people with sensitive skin. I explained to the sales associate that I wanted to get Vanishing Cream and she recommended this one instead. After ONE use, this made my face break out in painful welts and it is STILL red and inflammed. I'm not allergic to anything that I know of, but I am severely intolerant of something that is in this because I have never reacted so terribly to anything. I went back to the store and the girl apologized profusely and said that this definitively wasn't for those of us with sensitive skin.

OUCH! Proceed with caution. I'm now dry, flaky, red, and gross. Be careful, sensitive skinned ladies!

                  Comments about LUSH Enzymion:

This is an excellent matifying moisturizer if you have oily or combination skin. This was one of my first Lush purchases, I liked it a lot when I first purchased it, but found that it didn't control my oil. When I ran out, I decided to hold off on Lush moisturizers, because the price was a little steep for me at the time and I really wanted something that would work. Shortly thereafter, my skin became severely dry and irritated, my skin looked awful. I went back to Lush and was referred to Vanishing Cream, which I really like but it makes me a little oily throughout the day. So FINALLY I gave Enzymion another try, and it works so fantastic this time around I can't stop raving about it! I noticed in other reviews people with oily and combination skin saying it doesn't work for them at all, and it may well not since everyone's skin is different, but I believe the key to really having this moisturizer work it's magic is making sure you are matched with the right cleanser and toner. I find using Enzymion in the morning after washing my face with Aqua Marina and toning with Eau Roma Water and spritzing Tea Tree Toner makes my skin clear, balanced/ comfortably matte. And it totally makes the best makeup primer EVER, my makeup doesn't budge or get shiny when I have this moisturizer on, and the smell is so delicious. Thanks Lush, I'm so glad I gave Enzymion another chance!

Enzymion was recommended for my combo/spotty skin after striking out with Imperialis. Enzymion smells fantastic at first and seemed to be doing ok so I decided to give it a week or so. The first thing I noticed was that after three days it seemed to stop sinking into my skin. If I broke a sweat, I could feel my face sweat sitting on top of the moisturizer, it was gross feeling and it made me extra shiny, not matte. Then after five days it began irritating my cheeks. Should have read the ingredients instead of listening to SA's, cocoa butter + enzymes is basically like rubbing oil and meat tenderizer on my face. It took a few days of Ultrabland to uninflame my face, then two weeks to get rid of all the new bumps. It hasn't been near my face since. I was using it up on my chest as a tightening cream, but after about four months it smells like old plasticy pineapple cake, not refreshing anymore. Blecch.

WHY OH WHY are most of your creams full of cocoa butter, Lush? Other cheap drugstore brand moisturizers also have cocoa butter, you're above that! Oh well, it's my own fault for cheating on Vanishing Cream.

                        Comments about LUSH Enzymion:

I'm a guy with a pretty oily t-zone. I hate the shine. I'm going to hate it more when I give in and shave my head. I just started looking for a solution, but I've had limited success so far.My girlfriend bought my Cosmetic Lad to try, but that made things way worse. Someone at the local Lush store had me try Enzymion instead. It does help, but I would say it's mediocre. It goes on easily, requires very little product, and smells nice (the fragrance is very light as well). I think it does help a little with my oil/shine problem, but not for very long. Within 3-5 hours I can start to see the shine again, just not badly. Within the next few hours it's the same as any other day.So I would say that this product is effective, but just barely. I certainly wouldn't spend [$] on it again.

                        Comments about LUSH Enzymion:

I needed a facial moisturizer to use with the Color Supplement and I decided to try the Enzymion. I used to use the Vanishing Cream but I wanted something a bit more mattifying and I thought this might be the one to try. It's been a couple weeks and so far, so good. I live in Hawaii and I'm not sweaty by the end of the work day which is seriously amazing. But I'm also not all tight-skinned and flaky. So basically, it does all I could ask for. :)

As far as the scent, I don't love it but I don't hate it either.

I used this moisturizer years ago, and since I can only shop online now, I forgot what it smelled and felt like. Let me just say... this moisturizer is amazing. The texture is silky smooth, you can instantly feel the moisture when you touch it! I hesitated because it was one of the more expensive lotions Lush makes, but I already know it is going to last a long time. The smell is indescribable, like fresh but sensual at the same time. Every time I open the lid, I am surprised by the lovely scent. If you aren't sure, definitely try it!!! Leaves my skin soft, more balanced, and helps control oil!

So I tried Enzymion because I wanted something that would bust all the grease on my face and help with mattifying, but this just didn't work. At all. It broke me out something fierce and my face stays greasy/shiny all day. I noticed that this product contains cocoa butter, which is a total no-no for people prone to breakouts. I wish I'd noticed that sooner. Anyway, I had better luck with Vanishing Cream.

                                Comments about LUSH Enzymion:

I tried this at the store and fell in love immediately. As soon as I put it on it evened out my skin and got rid of a good portion of the shine from my face.
The product wasn't greasy like typical moistures were, either.
My only concern was that after approximately 5-10 minutes of leaving it on my skin, I developed a red, puffy, itchy rash on my skin.
I recommend trying this on at the store before deciding to spend the amount for this product. I was so sad it didn't work well for my skin.

                                  Comments about LUSH Enzymion:

I have been so impressed with Enzymion. I have been using department store creams that were twice as much since I was thirteen. I don't have extremely oily skin like most of the reviewers. In fact my skin is just very acne prone and a little dry most of the time. I listened to my Lush lady and made the purchase for Enzymion and haven't turned back. It has BRIGHTENED my skin and I get compliments about how beautiful my face looks now! I used to hide behind tons of makeup and dread waking up to another pimple. But, I actually dab some of this moisturizer on my naked face with some mascara and will visit the grocery store that way... GASP!

I have been out for two days and my skin has started breaking out again.

If I wash my face with Coalface and then rub some Enzymion. Skin is balanced and bright, and I thank my good genes and Enzymion from fighting off any chance of a wrinkle! I am golden.
