Mattifying fruit moisturizer

If your face is predominantly oily in your T-zone, Enzymion is the moisturizer for you! An incredible blend of astringent citrus fruits like pineapple, papaya and lemon, Enzymion mops up excess oils and literally cleanses your face of dead skin and debris built up throughout the day. Nutrient-rich avocado and evening primrose oils replenish essential vitamins and minerals. We recommend pairing Enzymion with our refreshing sea salt scrub, Ocean Salt. The result? Skin that glows from the inside out.

Features

  • For smooth, matte skin: Enzymion’s freshly squeezed fruit juices give combination or oily skin a matte finish.
  • Prep your face: Enzymion also doubles as a smoothing base or ‘primer’ under make up.
  • Juicy, juicy tropical fruit: We use fresh papaya juice to mop up excess oils and leave your face feeling clean and fresh.

I did not try Enzymion for the longest time because I obviously did not understand my skin type. I had used other companies papya creams and masks in the past with great results, but I had worried that Enzymion would be too harsh for my sensitive spotty skin - but I was wrong!
I decided to try Enzymion as an alternative to Gorgeous - I loved how effective and citrusy Gorgeous was, but I wanted something a bit more affordable for my budget to make it last longer. I started with testing Vanishing Cream, which was great for daytime wear, but I still had a lot of shine. When I heard that Enzymion was renowned to matte skin, I figured, why not give it a try?
Enzymion felt like a spa treatment the second I put it on, and smelled very clean and fresh, in fact it reminded me of my Marilyn hair mask! What was even better after the first try of Enzymion, my spots looked diminished! I had to take a picture right away! I have never seen my skin look this good without makeup or concealer! I would definitely suggest giving this a try. I like that it is thick/creamy and citrusy like Gorgeous, but it is in a more affordable price tier for most consumers now a days in this economy!
I still have yet to find a skin care routine that only sticks with one LUSH moisturizer, but I have a feeling that if I had to make a snap decision based on how great my skin looks after using Enzymion - I would probably go with this one! It seems like the best of all worlds!

Okay, let me just say I have extremely oily skin on my t-zone. My cheeks are not dry, so I don't consider myself as a combination skin type. For me, this did nothing, NOTHING, towards "mattifying" my oily skin, nothing at all. If anything, it made me feel more greasy than usual and I definitely had a more glistening shine! I do not recommend this, it's way to thick to be for oily skin, in my opinion.

Oh! For this product, even though I dislike it, it has amazing coverage, 3 little touches of it on my forehead and cheeks, and I can easily rub it into my temples, nose, chin, everywhere!
Ps. I use this in combination with a non-Lush cleanser (so I won't name it here), Lush's Tea Tree Water Toner and Grease Lightening - which can I just say is such a victim of false advertising.

I'll also add a picture just to prove I own this, because I know I would trust someone's opinion knowing for sure they have the product, lol.

    Comments about Enzymion Moisturizer:

I use this lovely moisturizer along with the Dark Angels cleanser and the Eau Roma toner. Alone this is a wonderful product that soothes and moisturizes my skin without leaving it too oily. Coupled with the other products I mentioned is the best way to benefit from this product. My skin is soft and I only have to use a small amount of product to cover my entire face evenly. I have no cons regarding this product.

This new Routine I've been doing for the past 3 weeks works wonders for my PREVIOUSLY: Oily, Hyperpigmented, and Occasional Acne Face! Weeks ago I was in search for something Natural that would help me deal with oily skin. I always heard a little oil is good for the skin, but mine was too much. Lush was a product I always wanted to try, but wanted to try it in person, so when I discovered a new Store in a Mall I frequent, I almost passed out with delight. So the Associate first introduced me to Dark Angels. For toner I use Tea Tree Water after, and Enzymion for moisture. I needed something VERY Light, Enzymion was the winner! While my skin is still damp with the toner, I apply a small amount of Enzymion, and I'm good! These 3 products have now lightened the acne scars, and toned down the oil a lot! Great thing is I only do this a few times a week to pamper my skin. Hey it works for me! Try it!!

Enzymion was recommended by my local Lush sale associate late November 2012. I've been using this product ever since, it's been about five months. I've noticed great improvement in my skins oil levels, what once looked shiny and oily is now nice left with a smooth matted finish. I've never really had problem with acne just one or two pimples from time to time, now I rarely see any breakouts. I use this product every morning after washing my face with Angels on bare skin, I spray on some Tea Tree toner and dab on this moisturizer. Love it! :D

I was really up in the air about buying this because it's pricey. I won't claim that it is amazing but it is a good moisturizer. It's light and absorbs evenly. It does seem to be improving my skins texture and evening out my complexion. For the amount you use the price is not so bad. I use maybe a dime size amount on my whole face.

Hands down THE best thing to happen to my daily routine! I have combination skin...my cheeks will be dry and my t zone will be an oil slick. Normally after applying make up....3 hours later my face would be ridiculously shiny. Using Enzymion with the Tea Tree Water has made a drastic difference. I am no longer stashing oil blotting sheets in my purse, car, pockets etc. I have been using it during the winter months and have yet to put it to the test of high humidity. If it performs this way during those extremes I will be a forever user. My overall skin health has improved simply bc of the moisture. I would often avoid any lotions in the morning bc of my shine problem. Well worth the money!!!!

                  Comments about Enzymion Moisturizer:

Oh my goodness! I started using this product on New Years Eve and my face was pretty broken out during that time. My sister (who is obsessed with lush and now I know why) took me into a store in NYC and I described my skin to the associate. She took a dab of this cream and rubbed it on my hand and it felt smooth and it smelled amazing! What made me buy it was that if I didn't like it I could return it online since I was unsure of when the store near me would be opening. I used it that night after washing my face and I used it twice a day, once at night before bed, and once in the morning when I woke up. A week later, I was looking at myself in the mirror before putting it on and noticed that my skin was almost completely clear! It was incredible! I'm excited to try more of their products and I am certainly looking forward to the opening of the store in my hometown!!!

                    Comments about Enzymion Moisturizer:

After a failed try with Celestial and constant changes with my skin type, one of the Lush SAs suggested Enzymion to me. I was noticing that my skin was getting pretty oily by the end of the day, and I don't like to wear a lot of makeup like foundation or powders, so it was a problem. This really did help! My face was still a bit greasy come evening, but it was nowhere near the oil slick I was ending up with before. It smells AMAZING, kept me soft, and in combination with the rest of my routine, the amount of blemishes I had greatly decreased. I don't remember whether or not it took my skin some time to adjust.
Now that winter is here though, it's a little light for me. I switched to Cosmetic Lad for the time being (and it's cheaper!), but still use my pot of Enzymion at least once a week. I would definitely recommend this to those who have some problems with shine, especially during the summer. You might have to look for something else for winter though (from what I've heard, Cosmetic Lad is usually the suggested replacement, and it definitely was for me).

This moisturizer is the icing on the cake of my routine. Twice weekly, I use my cleanser and toner before pampering my face with Enzymion. I only need a little fingertip dab, I touch it to each cheek, my forehead, nose, and chin, and then I gently rub it around.

When I first started using this product, I had a bit of a sunburn. This moisturizer was so soothing to put on and has improved the overall health of my skin over time. My skin is softer to the touch, I don't break out like I used to, and I've actually noticed that the fine lines around my eyes are fading a bit.

                        Absolutely love this moisturizer!

I bought this product thinking that it would be a life saver because I have been reading the reviews and how this product is suppose to take away the access oil away from your face, because I have been having a huge problem with black heads recently. Well all this product did was make my even skin worse, more blackheads & more acne and I have combination skin and it has never really been oily. All this product did was make my skin even oilier. It doesn't even completely dry on my face even though it's a lightweight moisturizer. The only thing that is good about this product to me is that it smells good, and this product isn't on the cheaper side either. And I didn't buy it just for the smell. Wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends. But I still love lush, and all of my other products have been fine!

                            Comments about Enzymion Moisturizer:

I've had awful acne since I was 12, I'm now 25. I have tried every product, lotion, cleanser, toner - you name it, I've tried it. I've tried different moisturizers to quench my dry skin before applying foundation, but could never find one that didn't feel like it was suffocating my skin or that could contain my oily prone skin. I accepted the fact that my skin would always be problematic. I stumbled into Lush one day and told the sales associate my woes. He suggested I try enzymion. I was a bit taken back by the price, but hesitantly tried anyways. I was amazed at how light weight it is but yet my skin looks hydrated after putting it on. I can hardly tell when it's on and I love that. I use it in the morning under my make up and at night before bed. It absorbs quickly and keeps my skin looking great all day. I've been using this moisturizer now for 2 1/2 weeks and my skin is clearing up dramatically. I can't believe it's my skin, it's not dry, flaky and red from irritation. For once in my life I'm not embarrased to not wear foundation, I can honestly say it's a first for me. This is easily worth it's weight in gold and I'm so happy I found this product.

I love this moisturizer! I'm normally cheap when it comes to.. well everything, so I thought this was pretty pricey, but after seeing the demonstration in the store and realizing just how much I HATE how oily my face can get, I bought it. Glad I did because I put some on this morning and my face is still matte. (:

                                Comments about Enzymion Moisturizer:

I've always avoided using moisturizers. My skin is VERY oily all over and anytime I try a new product (especially a moisturizer, it seems,) I'm risking a huge, multiple week long breakout.

But I'm SO glad I gave this a shot. The girl working at Lush really wanted to make me a sample when I told her about my skin and my fear/avoidance of moisturizers. I've heard the whole "If you don't moisturize, your skin overcompensates by producing more oil" explaination many times, but I was still hesitant to use it.

I've been using it 2x a day along with the Dark Angels cleanser for 5 days now (plus 2x using the Cupcake mask total) and my skin literally hasn't looked this good since I was at the end of a long and painful Accutane treatment 3 years ago because my acne was so severe. My skin looks so healthy, not oily, my skin color is completely even, and it feels really good, too.

The only product relatively similar to a moisturizer I use is Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer. It doesn't make me breakout and helps my makeup go on really smooth and evenly (I also use bare minerals foundation) but my face ends up looking really greasy only a few hours into the day. Since I got this sample from Lush I've been wearing it under my foundation and my skin doesn't get shiney and my foundation goes on just as smoothly and my skin seems to look more natural than it did with the Prime Time.

I think it's a little bit expensive, but I imagine 1.5 oz would go a long way since I need less than a pea sized amount to spread over my entire face and down my neck. The Prime Time is about $20 and only lasts 3 months so I think I'll be heading out to lunch to buy this ASAP before my sample runs out!

I was not too pleased with my previous Lush moisturizer purchases, but Enzymion is exactly what I was searching for. I have sensitive skin and Celestial was initially suggested; however, it was too thick and I could not adjust. I also tried Vanishing and Imperialis, but noticed the shiny film that covered my face after application. I had almost given up on Lush moisturizers, but decided to give Enzymion a try.

I am shocked how glare free my face is during the day and love seeing my skin healing when I wake up. I only need a touch of this to cover my entire face; therefore, this is a great investment that will last at least half a year.

Nice and light, but definitely moisturizing. I have oily skin and suffer from acne, but the Enzymion is not heavy, and it adds just the right of moisture to your skin. I pair this with the Tea Tree Water and my skin feels very refreshed.

This is NOT for people with sensitive skin. I explained to the sales associate that I wanted to get Vanishing Cream and she recommended this one instead. After ONE use, this made my face break out in painful welts and it is STILL red and inflammed. I'm not allergic to anything that I know of, but I am severely intolerant of something that is in this because I have never reacted so terribly to anything. I went back to the store and the girl apologized profusely and said that this definitively wasn't for those of us with sensitive skin.

OUCH! Proceed with caution. I'm now dry, flaky, red, and gross. Be careful, sensitive skinned ladies!

This product was not for me, it clogged my pores, but not everything is for everyone. So I recommend it for anyone who has dry skin.

                                      Comments about Enzymion Moisturizer:

This is an excellent matifying moisturizer if you have oily or combination skin. This was one of my first Lush purchases, I liked it a lot when I first purchased it, but found that it didn't control my oil. When I ran out, I decided to hold off on Lush moisturizers, because the price was a little steep for me at the time and I really wanted something that would work. Shortly thereafter, my skin became severely dry and irritated, my skin looked awful. I went back to Lush and was referred to Vanishing Cream, which I really like but it makes me a little oily throughout the day. So FINALLY I gave Enzymion another try, and it works so fantastic this time around I can't stop raving about it! I noticed in other reviews people with oily and combination skin saying it doesn't work for them at all, and it may well not since everyone's skin is different, but I believe the key to really having this moisturizer work it's magic is making sure you are matched with the right cleanser and toner. I find using Enzymion in the morning after washing my face with Aqua Marina and toning with Eau Roma Water and spritzing Tea Tree Toner makes my skin clear, balanced/ comfortably matte. And it totally makes the best makeup primer EVER, my makeup doesn't budge or get shiny when I have this moisturizer on, and the smell is so delicious. Thanks Lush, I'm so glad I gave Enzymion another chance!

What are the different benefits from this and vanishing cream? I know they are both for oily skin but i'm not sure which one to use.

I would say you're getting the benefits of all Natural ingredients when you're using Enzymion. I'd also say Enzymion has much lighter texture than vanishing cream, which feels heavy on the skin. I had plenty of acne scars and I use this with Dark Angels(which exfoliates the dead skin), then follow up with Tea Tree Water toner, a thin layer of Enzymion and have noticed a difference in my complexion within a couple weeks. Hope this helps!

Well, my dad's birthday is coming up and his face is seriously oily. Like seriously oily. In the middle of the afternoon he gets oil in his eyes because his eyelids are dripping with oil. His pores are also really big. So I was thinking of getting him this because maybe it would help him with his oilyness problem. Will it work for him? Thank yoU!

Well, if you're father's skin is *seriously* oily, you might want to start with the lightest moisturizer that LUSH carries - Vanishing Cream - and then if you find his skin needs a bot more hydration, you can try something a bit more rich, like Enzymion. Vanishing Cream has Witch Hazel in it, which is like a nuclear missile against oil. The citrus oils in Enzymion would help as well, but for big pores and serious oil issues, start with Vanishing Cream first, I'd say.

Enzymion has a shelf-life of 14 months. It has a sticker on the back which says when it was made, who made it, and when it is best used by.
