Mark Constantine, LUSH co-founder and perfumer, longed for happy, healing scents to make one feel a kind of euphoria. Motivated by a need to heal his own heavy heart, he experimented with ingredients to capture the rush and release of rapture. Inspired by aromatherapy books in his perfume library, Mark used cheerful essential oils including clary sage, grapefruit, lime and neroli to make a scent that is light, clarifying and expanding.
