Mark Constantine, LUSH co-founder and perfumer, longed for happy, healing scents to make one feel a kind of euphoria. Motivated by a need to heal his own heavy heart, he experimented with ingredients to capture the rush and release of rapture. Inspired by aromatherapy books in his perfume library, Mark used cheerful essential oils including clary sage, grapefruit, lime and neroli to make a scent that is light, clarifying and expanding. In the darkest hours, Euphoria lifts and sets the heart alight.

This perfume made me cry.
At first whiff, I was unimpressed, it was so light and coying that I wasn't able to experience it fully. But I came back to it after smelling a few of the other new Gorilla perfurmes (Sikkim Girls...mmmm) and the full effect of it hit me. Good things come to those who wait.
It smells exactly like a really excellent period of my life, and brought me back there so fast I almost had whiplash. Thank you Mark for creating something that I had such an incredible, visceral reaction to, and for my brief travel into the past. Kudos to you sir.

I got the smallest bottle to try this out as I love neroli and clary sage. It really comes alive once it's on your skin and warms up. It's a light, fresh, almost fizzy wake-you-up sort of scent. On me it dries down sweet and the base/herbal lingers long after the citrus fades.
If you layer it with the other neroli based scents Lush makes, the sharp and sweet citrus lasts longer.
Oddly enough, I imagine a the "flavor" of this scent would make a delicious sparkling water!
It has an old-school toilette/cologne feel to it, which I dig immensely. I did decant the little bottle into a clean, empty black spritzy tube from the regular Gorilla line.
They seem to have resolved the leakage issue with the tight screw on caps. It comes in a cardboard canister, wrapped in a tissue paper with images from all the new Gorilla perfumes, suitable for re-use or decor - I just tacked it up on my wall.
I also received a little mini comic with great art about all the new scents. Bonus!
I'ma sneak a dab of this onto my boyfriend and see how it goes on him, too.

Reading the description of this product it felt like Mark created this perfume just for me. It is exactly what it sounds like. Warm and light and refreshing. The grapefruit and lime brighten your mood while the sage seems to cleanse your senses and emotions. After a very emotionally straining few months, Euphoria is the perfect perfume to lighten the mood and inspire you to be happy. Thanks you Mark.
