Q:I'm having a hard time using the mascara because the wand is so short, the sample wand at the store is as long as 'normal' mascaras, so I didn't realize this issue when I was in the store. Any suggestions?Asked on 5/25/2015 by Kathy from Killingworth, CT
Q:Hi, is this product made with organic ingredients? I saw that there are some natural and safe synthetic ingredients, but I'm really interested in knowing whether or not they are organic and/or non genetically modified. Thank you.Asked on 7/18/2014 by Shelby
A:We definitely try to use organic ingredients wherever possible, however, the ingredients we purchase are generally sourced from small farms and community operations throughout the world that cannot afford the process of certifying their produce as organic. These ingredients tend to be organic, just not with the "certified organic" label that larger companies can afford.Answered on 9/25/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:I sweat a LOT - will this hold up? I know it's not water proof but I really want to try it. I'm afraid of racoon eyes.
Also, can I use 9 to 5 to remove it?Asked on 6/13/2014 by SweatyMcSweaterson from Chicago
A:Eyes Right was formulated with this exact thing in mind, so you can definitely count on it holding up!Answered on 9/25/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:I was caught in the rain and then that same day found myself sweating quite a bit from head to toe, and it held up REALLY well. I was always a worshiper to waterproof, but can hardly tell a difference besides how much BETTER this one feels on your lashes. I've never used 9 to 5, but I just use my regular daily facial cleanser and that alone completely removes it.Answered on 8/4/2014 by Snackie from Philadelphia, PA
Q:Has anyone using this product had issues with flaking?Asked on 6/10/2014 by Anne from United States
A:We don't generally hear about issues with Eyes Right flaking, as it is made with a base of Japan wax and wheatgrass.Answered on 9/25/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:No I haven't ... It's kind of more a waxy thing. No problems here
Sent from my iPhoneAnswered on 6/10/2014 by Anonymous
A:No, no flaking at all. The mascara is really nice but awkward to use because of the super short wand.Answered on 6/10/2014 by Misia from OC
Q:I have a problem with mascara causing dry eye. Does this dry the eyes?Asked on 1/15/2014 by Dee from Minnesota
A:Eyes Right is a healthy mascara that is actually really good for your eyes, and definitely shouldn't contribute to dry eye. It has a wheatgrass base, which is very nourishing for the lashes so you will likely find it to be a great alternative to mascara that you are familiar with!Answered on 3/14/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:One of the wonderful things about Lush mascara is that as a contact lens
wearer, I don't' feel the irritability that I've felt at times with other
mascaras (contact lenses will exacerbate this feeling). The dry eye feel
that is often associated is NOT present with this product. The best thing
is the velvety feel of it, without the clunky, clumpy feel of regular
mascara products. It's great because I put it on and truly don't "feel" it.
I can see the results without my eyes being irritated or dry because of it.
I LOVE IT!Answered on 1/17/2014 by Anonymous
A:No. I have not had any problems with dry eye using this mascara.Answered on 1/16/2014 by Anonymous
Q:Can i continue using it after it "expires", because it seems to be the same consistency and quality as it was before "expiring"Asked on 12/11/2013 by Avery the Lush Lover from United States
A:We list "Use by" dates because we do extensive testing on the safest time frame to use our products within. Even if a product appears to be normal, we do not recommend using anything past their "Use by" date.Answered on 2/26/2014 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:No one can stop you from using it, but you're taking a gamble with
your eye health!
All makeup gets germs, but mascara is especially prone to it because
it is goopy and in a dark tube, perfect conditions for bacteria to
grow. Every time you put the wand on your eye and back in the tube,
you're putting more germs in the tube. You know how most mascara has
tons of preservatives in it? That's to preserve it so it doesn't
spoil. I don't know if Lush's mascara has as much preservative as
other brands, but if it doesn't, it will spoil faster.
Mascara can develop dangerous bacteria that infects your eyes, so
you're taking a gamble if you use it past the expiration date. As a
teenager I got pinkeye from using old (really old) mascara (not by
Lush). It was gross. Not doing that again!
Sorry, I know it is expensive but I don't recommend using the same
tube for a long time! If you can't afford a new tube, take a break
from mascara and use really dark smudgy eyeliner instead!Answered on 12/11/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Is this product stand up to daily wear?Asked on 6/9/2013 by Kate from United States
A:Eyes right is formulated to stand up to daily wear, as we use both Japan and Carnauba waxes to help the color set. It holds up very nicely against sweat and rain, but isn't considered "waterproof" so it is still easy to remove.Answered on 9/25/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:I'd say it does, for the most part. Its very light (no clumps) and doesn't flake out on you like other mascaras, but it WILL run on you if you get wet.Answered on 7/2/2013 by theSquawker from Leesburg, VA
Q:What is the recommended removal of the mascara? Is water sufficient?Asked on 3/22/2013 by Kiki
A:Warm water will remove the mascara with some effort, however, since it is formulated to be resistant enough to water to be appropriate for all day wear, we recommend using a makeup remover. Ultrabland is a really great choice!Answered on 8/21/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:Water works well, I use basic make up remover wipes from the grocery store before washing my face, I find that helps.Answered on 4/13/2013 by Lacey the fangirl from Dallas, Tx
Q:Is this mascara water-proof?Asked on 8/4/2012 by YOLO
A:Eyes Right is not water-proof.Answered on 8/28/2012 by Megan from LUSH Direct
