i have extremely sensitive skin, so I buy all of my products from Lush. Since I started to do so, I have not had rashes or a breakout even once.

The only problem I've had is finding a shampoo. I'm extremely scent-sensitive, so once I find products that work on my hair type (thick, tends towards dry, and washed in hard water) I have to sort through them to find one that has a scent I can tolerate.

This? Has not been easy. For several years, my only option has been to use Snow Fairy on my hair, which means buying 4-5 of the largest size bottles at Christmas...and spending a fair amount of cash at once. I wasn't happy with the situation, but I didn't have any other options.

Now I do! (I will still buy some Snow Fairy, as I adore it, but 1 or 2 bottles is all I'll be purchasing instead of enough for a year.) I was nervous in buying this, given that I did not have a way to smell it (I'm away from home for a few months, and there's no store nearby). But I didn't see anything in the ingredients that stood out as likely to irritate me, so I gave it a go.

Thank heavens I did! Fair Trade Honey Shampoo (after this, I'll just call it Honey Shampoo) is a godsend. Even used with the soft water I have at my current residence, it both lathered up and rinsed out easily. The scent is delicious--honey, of course, dominates, but it has elements of something minty and something else that I can only describe as fresh and green. The latter two elements keep the honey from being overpowering.

I was thrilled to feel how soft my hair was after I rinsed all of the Honey Shampoo out; I didn't even bother with a conditioner, and I'm not going to ever bother with one when using Honey Shampoo! I simply rinsed again with cool water. My brush went through my hair as if I'd deep-conditioned it. As it dries, my hair not only feels silky to the touch, but it also has less frizz to it than it has with other shampoos (used WITH conditioners and other products).

I'll still buy Snow Fairy at Christmas, yes, because I love the smell and it IS nice on my hair--with a conditioner. But Fair Trade Honey Shampoo is my new default, and quite possibly tied with Sakura (a bath bomb) for Overall Favorite Lush Product.

I will note that I have not tested it with actual hard water yet, though I will when I return to my home in June. Given how it's interacted with soft water, though, I'm really not worried in the slightest.

I can't say enough about this shampoo! It makes my hair so soft and shiny. I have tried all the salon shampoos out there and Fair Trade is at the top of my list. I have highlighted hair and the honey makes my highlights pop and shine! I have never used a shampoo that added as much shine to my hair, thanks to the tons of honey. My hair is about an inch past my shoulders, thick and wavy, it doesn't take much product at all to get my hair clean. For the benefits, it is well worth the price.

The smell...when I smelled it in the bottle I was not too sure about it, nothing "horrible" but nothing special about it. BUT, when I put it on my hair, something happens and it smells amazing! And the scent lasts!

Its hard to find a cheap gentle products that works well on African American hair but I strongly reconmend this one! First off, I have 4a/4b hair thats really compact. A little goes a really long way. About a quarter size was a little too much for my enitre head(that in itself is great, less product used, the better). I thought it might be stickey, you know, the whole honey thing...but it feels nothing like honey and you get all the nutrients of honey. My hair has never felt so clean! And soft!

Lush Fair Trade Honey shampoo is easily the best shampoo I have ever used, and I've used many! I am constantly looking for something to wash my long, wavy, thick hair in that won't dry it out or make it feel oily. This product is perfect. It gets hair clean, but also conditions beautifully and weightlessly for a soft, smooth, shiny finish. And it smells fabulous to boot! A definite winner...thanks, Lush!

This shampoo effectively removes oil from my scalp and smells amazing! I find that if I use it everyday that it will make my hair 'too clean' and my hair will be dry and difficult to comb out. (So I just wash my hair every other day) I love the smell, but I warn you that it may be a bit too strong if you aren't fond of stronger scents. It really does smell like pure honey. (Not the kind in the little bear container, more like Manuka honey or 100% natural honey.) It also gives my limp and lifeless looking hair AMAZING volume! This is really the first shampoo I have ever used that has succeeded in giving my hair some volume. I will definitely buy this again when I run out.

If you're trying this shampoo just for the sake of its honey ingredient + you like the smell of "honey I washed the kids", you really have to think twice before you buy it. Treatment wise it's just like a drugstore shampoo while it cost 3-4 times as much. And it does NOT smell like honey i washed the kids. I really wanted to like this product but I was disappointed. Will recommend I Love Juicy instead.

I have thin fine hair. This made my hair soft and very shiny. Used less conditioner to. Gave my hair the best volume ever. A little goes a long way. Make sure to use a small amount in the palm of your hand, then wet hair just before lathering.

I was very anxious to try this product because I have heard very good things about the benefits of using honey on the hair. I have very naturally curly hair and thought this would had a ton of moisture to my hair. Honestly, it dried out my hair. It was good to wash out Lush hair treatments and removed my buildup, but I felt like I had to use a deep conditioner afterwards. The smell is very herbal and not honey like at all. It lathers really well but I'll just stick to putting a little honey in my conditioner.

The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is because of the smell. It took me ages to try it purely for this reason, even with people telling me they love it. Whelp, now I'm a true believer. I used some while visiting my friend, and when I went to style my hair later I couldn't believe how amazing it felt.

My hair not only feels softer and thicker, but I've noticed it helping with my dandruff. (Not even soak and float could help me.) This stuff is amazing, and something I won't be able to live without.

This Shampoo is amazing! I will never use anything else. I have been going back and forth with shampoos for some time now because my head gets itchy and I get dandruff. PLus I wanted something with shine. I tried all your regular commercial shampoos and nothing helped. I went into a lush store and was recommended this and I am obsessed!!!!! it felt a little werid going on like actual honey, but it lathered nicely and my hair is super shiny and soft. I didn't scratch my scalp at all today. I used it withe the veganese conditioner and the two scents are simply wonderful together. several co workers and friends have asked why I smelt so good and I laughed and said actually it's my hair!!! I can't stop touching it and brushing it I love it MUST BUY

I went home with a sample of this and literally went back to buy the next day. I want my hair to be this soft and lovely ALL of the time. I think the smell is wonderful, and in conjunction with the American Cream conditioner, your hair will smell like a dream. My hair is manageable and my scalp has calmed down as well.

The smell of the shampoo isn't very strong which is nice, but I wish it smelled sweeter than it does.(Maybe I just have a huge sweet tooth and want everything to smell like candy)But it is a nice base for a yummy smelling conditioner like Happy Happy Joy Joy. I feel like this shampoo cleans very effectively and lathers nicely, although I have to use a decent amount to get my hair to the achieved cleanliness. I have very oily hair and need something that is very deep cleansing. This is a product I would repurchase, but there's so many more shampoo's to try from lush! I recommend buying the small bottle first before going all out and getting the big one, but this is well worth a try! :) :3

this shampoo was my first lush purchase, along with american cream conditioner. i have thick dark brown hair snd usually have problems with frizz, flyaways, shine and softness. since using fth shampoo, my hair has never looked so shiny and felt so soft. it also does a good job with detangling and minimizing the frizz.

originally, i wasn't too sure about the honey scent in the store but now i'm addicted. the smell doesn't really linger and is usually overpowered by american cream, so if you don't like the smell you can still use it. previous reviews commented on the honey lightening their hair, but after 6 weeks i haven't seen any evidence of this in my natural undyed hair. when my hair is 80% dry i add a little r&b from the ears to the ends for extra frizz control and softness. i've used cheaper products and way more expensive ones but now i will be using this stuff for life.

I purchased this product in hopes that it would be moisturizing for my healthy hair with occassionally dry ends that I blow dry daily. I found the smell to be strong and medicinal not reminiscent of honey at all. My hair is just to my shoulders, with a slight wave and medium thickness. I used about two quarter sized dollops to start with and found it didn't want to lather, I added more and did get a bit of lather then but my hair felt clumpy and sticky, not clean at all, and the shampoo didn't want to rinse out. My hair became outrageosly tangled and felt exceptionally dry after finally getting the shampoo out andletting it air dry. My hair was dull and lifeless and besides feeling drier to the touch it looked drier too. I ended up covering my hair in coconut oil and letting it sit for a bit to attempt to get some moisture back into and shampooing as usual with my old shampoo. I threw away the Lush Fair Trade Honey and will never purchase from them again.

I absolutely love this product. It is gentle on my hair, and leaves it smelling wonderful. Whenever the breeze blows my hair around I get this fresh whiff of honey that just makes my day. It is very moisturizing, but it still gets my hair clean. I use it almost every time I shampoo. Once every few weeks, I find I like to use something a little more clarifying, as it can build up a little on my hair and weigh it down a little.
