Fruity, exfoliating figgy scrubby soap

Sophisticated, and subtly sexy, our Figs and Leaves soap is understated in appearance and effect. Modestly draped in grape leaves, and demurely creamy beige in color; it's the scent of this soap that draws you in: alluring orange blossom and juicy figs, with an undertone of eastern exoticism. Figs are incredibly nutritious and good for your body, and their scrubby brown seeds exfoliate and really get to work getting you clean. Wonderfully suited for irritated and sensitive skin, organic aloe vera is calming and gentle. Seductive, nutritious, scrubby, and soothing – what are you waiting for?

Features

  • Getting figgy with it: Fig decoction gives a sweet scent and contains seeds that exfoliate the skin.
  • A good tease: It looks innocent, but the exotic fragrance hints at the sexy depths of this soap.
  • Hello aloe: Aloe vera extract is incredibly soothing for the skin, and dark brown in color.

"So far, this is my favorite Lush soap. The little fig seeds scrub and smooth while the rest of it is moisturizing and cleansing. The scent is clean and fresh which works for both boys and girls. I even used it as shampoo once and it worked!"

This soap is my absolute hands down FAVORITE. And it's hard to make something brag worthy that I actually love. When I look at a product I ask myself three things: Does it do what I want? Is it worth the price tag? Is it something I will buy again? This baby right here has met and exceeded these questions with enough charm and grace to put every other item I own to SHAME. I love exfoliation it's my favorite thing in the world so all those little seeds inside are perfect for me. Plus the soap that houses these little power houses of smooth is moisturizing and full of a subtle and sohphisticated scent that wears well even after a shower or bath. It's a deep friuty aroma that isn't overpowering and I find that it's earthiness makes it a great unigender soap as well! My mother actually uses this as a hand soap because her hands often crack and split from drying out, the exfloiation removed the dead skin and some of the thickest and worst part of her caluses and the soap hydrated it enough to bring them back from the brink.

Long story short: If you love exfoliating, rich earthy fruity fragrences and just plain lovely soap.Pick up a sample and try this puppy out. If you are leery of the exfoliating seeds, lather it onto a loofa and try it. I bet you'll like it!

I like this soap and I hate this soap. The fig seeds feel really good on the skin but that is so much stuff mixed into the soap it's hard to tell where the fruit/leaves and the soap begins. So I started using it on my son when he takes a bath and that was when I realized the soap lasts forever. I would let it soak in his bath water the entire time he was in there, 20 or so minutes, and the soap didn't dissolve that much. That's when I started to like it. To sum this up, if you need to exfoliate, the seeds feel wonderful. If you want a soap that never dissolves this is the one for you. If you don't what to have to pick fruit and leaves out of your drain don't bother with this one.

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

Best soap I have used from lush, amd I've used quite a few. Smells great and makes you feel clean and fresh like never before. I'm absolutely in love!

I was at first turned off by the leaves and weird stuff in it that makes it an icky brown, but it works so well I can't even complain about that anymore.

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

I usually go for sweeter scents, like Godmother, but I recently picked this up on a whim because of the light, unique scent. I LOVE it! It exfoliates nicely without damaging my tattoos, a problem I've come across with a lot of soaps that claim "exofoliation". The scent isn't overpowering, and makes me think of a melon patch that's been warmed up in the sun. I think this might be my new favorite LUSH soap!!

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

I love the feeling that this soap has when I use it in the shower. It has a nice, earthy smell that normally I wouldn't love; but in this product, I definitely do love it. The figs feel really nice when exfoliating my skin, but the leaves feel a little weird. The only problem I have is that it doesn't last long and can break down a little too easily.

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

I just used Figs'n Leaves in the shower for the first time today, and let me tell you that it was ample motivation to get up at 6:45 in the morning to do Ancient Greek translations.

I can see how people might thing the seeds are overly-abrasive, and that's why I would recommend using a washcloth for sensitive skin. My skin feels smooth and fairly well-hydrated (without any lotion and with a dry autumn chill setting in) though the soap did not lather very well.

The best thing about this soap was definitely the surprise burst of scent that came about 10 minutes after stepping out of the shower. What had been a mild, honey-smelling bar became a smooth mellow, earthy, melon-tinted scent that I thought the was coming from one of the guys sitting next to me doing Greek. However, it became apparent as I went through the day that the scent was following me and that I was the one who smelled like a freshly-sprinkled melon patch. Which I imagine smells good... or... I hope so.

I also imagine that sneaking into and rolling around in a wet, delicious-smelling melon patch would be quite a bit cheaper, but the soap is good, too.

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

I always use lotions after showering so I don't know what the moisturizing properties Figs would have on its own. It's soft and creamy so it seems that people with normal or oily skin wouldn't have to follow up with a lotion. It's very nice to use, lathers nicely and the tiny seeds provide some gentle exfoliation. The smell is quite intriguing, slightly sweet and earthy, with a touch of saltiness and something else.. I can't put my finger on it but it reminds me of something from my childhood. It's very calming and mellow. Smells a little like skin warmed up by sunshine:)

I am IN LOVE with this!! Since starting to use it, I have seen a HUGE difference in my skin! When I'm not using it, I usually get little bumps on the upper back side of my arms, and in the summer heat, I break out every so often on my back and shoulders from sweating (ew.. gross!) but since using this guy (or maybe LUSH in general), I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM!! I LOVE it!!!! It's also fun whenever you have a shower date and the other can massage you with the bar for an extra clean shoulders and back!

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

If you have EXTREMELY dry skin and find yourself needing to use a soap, this is a good one. It's moisturizing and does not dry out my skin or make it all tight and flaky, like most soaps do. In the summer I hate having to lotion after showering, so I'm always trying to find a nice gently moisturizing soap that gets me clean but not squeaky. Figs and Leaves fits the bill :)

Also I do LOVE the smell. It's just like walking through the woods in the fall after a rain, which is one of my fave things to do! I see that some other reviewers said it was a strong smell; to me it was very light and subtle... maybe my bar was from a less concentrated batch...? I actually wish the smell stayed on my skin longer after getting out of the shower. It would be great if Lush made a perfume or lotion that smelled like this.

FYI: I've found the Lush soaps that work for my dry skin are the ones without laurel sulfate, which seems to be the ingredient that causes that super-drying effect.

The best LUSH soap ever!!! I love how it smells, how it lathers well with creamy bubble, and how it leaves my skin clean and soft. It is not drying, yet it gives the clean feeling that a bar of soap always does. Also, it doesn't leave any sticky residue. It's awesome! The scent is absolutely my favorite of all Lush soaps, and I hope they continue producing this soap!!!! Forever!!!

I found this works best in the shower because the scent is nearly overwhelming. The lather is fine, and it is also a bit hard to wash off the residue. I was prepared to love this soap; it was my first Lush order and I love the shampoo but was disappointed in this soap.

This is the best soap I have ever tried, and in a looooong history of testing and rejecting soaps because of my fussy skin and high standards in smell and texture. I liked Sultana, but this...this is soap love. It smells amazing, it scrubs but also moisturizes, it's rich and creamy...perfect. Look no further for the best soap for whatever your bath needs. This is it.

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

This smells like the ground after a rainstorm with an accent of fig and aloe vera. Aloe vera WILL heal your skin, and this stuff is so natural you don't have to worry about using it on your face. Very moisturizing--mine was much softer and had a nice, lingering scent after Figs & Leaves. This will not leave a residue on my skin, but I did nick it once, so just be careful!

I got this as a sample a couple weeks ago and was very hesitant towards the smell. It smelled like a grandmothers powder room when in the wrappings but after use n the shower smelled totally different!!! Great for getting rid of awkward bumps and smoothing out skin!!

although i purchased this soap initially for exfolliation - i found out by accident that it has actually help the rash i sometimes get between and under my breasts...a condition in which my dermatologist prescribes a cream for...i just so happened to have a break out which turns really red and blotchy, i used this soap in the area hoping to soothe my skin...and that it did and more! the rash immediately dried up overnight and in conjunction with the cream keeps the condition at bay. Although this isnt the primary use of this soap - Lush helped and didnt even know it! My only Con is that the seeds are scratchy and hurt..so i use it with a washcloth...other than that, no complaints...

Comments about LUSH Figs and Leaves:

I love this! It smells so good and the little exfoliating fig seeds are just right. The only thing I disliked was that the little leaf on top kept flaking off in the shower and it was quite annoying to pick up. Other than that its great!
