I bought this online based on the description but not knowing what it would smell like. I am so happy I purchased this! The smell is so unique and intriguing, and I personally really enjoy it. I can understand how others might hate the smell and think it's disgusting, because it is a strong smell, but everyone has different tastes so I would recommend going into the store first. It's not as moisturizing or long lasting as I would want it to be, but other than that I'm very happy with my purchase.

Flying Fox was my first foray into Lush shower gels.

I recieved this in my latest haul and I'm going to give as honest a review as a I can so that anyone who was uncertain whether to buy this or not just from the website has a better idea of what they're getting into!

Though I plan on working my way through all of Lush's shower gels at some point I started with Flying Fox for three main reasons: it got rave reviews on the website, I loved the cute name and I love anything jasmine scented. So there - simple enough.

I didn't know what I was getting into so I took a risk.

Having said all that I can honestly say that Flying Fox was an incredibly interesting shower experience.

The scent straight from the bottle was off-putting. Though anyone who reads this review can't truly know what this smells like until they buy it - or go to the store - I think the concentrated product in the bottle smells overwhelmingly of honey. So much that I intially wasn't a huge fan. I don't enjoy the scent of honey (though I obviously knew this would smell something like it, lol) Though the floral scent is there, it is faint - and the honey scent definitely dominates.

Needless to say I was glad I had only ordered the small bottle afraid that I would not be able to get through it.

I got in the shower the night I recieved this product. It is a lovely, rich gel that creates massive amounts of lather. I know I've read reviews here saying the product doesn't lather and though I'm not saying that wasn't true - what I AM saying is that MY experience was different. I used a scant amount of my loofah and - oh boy! This gel lathers better than any shower gel I've owned and this isn't a joke. I'm a brand buyer and I usually go between three different brands (Lush is the 4th line of products I've tried) and this shower gel creates incredible lather. A little goes a long way which is a great thing because Flying Fox (and all the other LUSH shower gels) are a bit pricey. But the price for the small bottle is reasonable since I imagine this is going to last me a long time.

I mentioned earlier about how turned off I was about the honey scent straight from the bottle. If you read this review and you find yourself nodding your head in agreement - try this in the shower! The jasmine scent shines, blending with the honey note and creating a lovely, warm, sugary experience. To me it smells like floral honey. It isn't, in my opinion, a particularily floral scent. It also isn't a "foodie" scent. I smell rich, musky honeysuckle. It's relaxing and incredibly complicated - and multi-faceted. It's like nothing I have ever experienced and that makes it all the more interesting!

A word of warning - if you get in the shower, lather up and still hate it - rewash with something else. This scent lingers; I'm still smelling it on my skin hours later. I move and I get a whiff - and that, to me isn't altogether unpleasant. :) As it fades you get more of the floral notes and the honey is more subtle. I totally get why this is considered a "sexy" scent. I wouldn't exactly call it that; I find it intriguing. Its unique and that's what makes it enticing. It leaves you wondering.

Oh, and it leaves my skin silky! That's sweet too as was my entire Flying Fox experience.

So, in summation, if you want something interesting and you love honey and a lovely floral scent - give this a try. You (most likely) won't be disappointed.

this was my first lush purchase, and it was love at first smell! a very natural smelling wash, the jasmine is very prominent, smells like some honeysuckle or other white floral in there as well. definitely will repurchase.

My first Lush experience was actually right in their backyard (garden...lol) in the UK. One of the lovely ladies gave me a sample of this after I purchased a few other Lush soaps. Once I used it in the shower, I HAD to have the big size. This smells freaking AMAZING!!! I seriously smell myself all day b/c it just stays. All in all, I'm just head over heels with Flying Fox and will be until the day I die...if there was a way to take it to the afterlife...I would!
Now, I will be honest, my husband actually hates the smell. I seriously don't get it b/c it smells divine to me. And b/c it's just heavenly to me, I don't care whether or not he likes it! Because I LOVE it! Ha! =)

This was one of my first Lush products. I mostly use it in the shower, every once in ahile because, while it smells ok, it isn't my favorite scent. I'm not a huge floral person, but after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a shot.

However, I used it as a bubble bath, so I could get through the bottle, and both my mom and my sister said it smelled heavily of mothballs. So...that's weird. I'll just keep using it as a shower gel, since the scent doesn't really stick around.

I use this almost every time I take a shower. Love the smell! If there was a perfume of this stuff I would probably have it on every day. The only thing I have "against" it is it does dry out my skin a little bit but I fixed this by mixing it with some Dove liquid soap, half and half. Also seems my boyfriend can't keep his hands off me once I get out of the shower, so I'm pretty sure it gets his approval!

I'm a newcomer to Lush, and was so overwhelmed with the amount of products available for everything you could possibly need. All great reviews on everything too! I came across this shower gel, I liked the clever name and saw it had jasmine, ylang ylang and palmarosa oils in it. I LOVE aphrodisiac scents. I was a little worried when I bought it, as I saw honey was another ingredient, I am not a fan of the scent that honey puts off..but when I used it for the first time I fell in love! It moisturizes, and the smell is amazing, so rich and warm and decadent. I even use it in my hair sometimes, I like it that much! The scent lasts all day long, which is hard to find for me, scents never stay on my skin/hair for very long. A definite must have Lush product!

This iz THHEEE BEST Smelling shwr gel ive came across (next to its raining men) in my lush collection which iz forever getting bigger haha! Itz so sexy & sensual & honey & jasmine & wonderful bubbles! I love showering everyday anyways but im even more excited when using this=D! The irresistible scent lasts which iz a plus! I kno for some it can be overwhelming for instance my sis..but she came around to the smell & iz also In Lush Love=)!

I went to Lush after I did some research and I picked up this bad boy and OMG the stress just rinsed off... I was amazed by the smell and the lather really got rid of the years of stress that build up on my body :)
I totally recommend this to people who work a full time job like my self :3

It smells awesome. Best smelling body wash I have encountered. It didn't do a whole lot of moisturizing for my skin, but you should never expect that out of body wash. That's lotions job. It didn't dry it out or anything. The scent is worth the money, trust me.

I bought flying fox as a gift to myself when I was having a bad day, and I must say it is the best gift that I have ever given to myself. I love the smell. It puts me completely at ease. It is also perfect for date night. My boyfriend is also a lush addict and he loves me smell. It is the perfect tease and makes me feel sexy even on my worst days. I have read a lot of reviews that say it does not lather well. I would recommend using it with a loofah because a little goes a long way with this product.

This product says it contains ylang ylang and jasmine. I did not smell either of these. I smelled moth balls. I am a big fan of Lush and its bath bombs but I will not buy another shower gel because it literally took half an hour to scrub off the moth ball scent.

I buy Lush as a treat for myself and others-- it isn't daily use by any means. Flying Fox is reserved for date nights with expectations, if you know what I mean.

In the bottle, the jasmine is INTENSE. But once showering with it, the floral note mellows considerably. Little bit goes a long ways. I can't really denote the honey in it, other than texture.

I tried it on my hair, can't say I'd recommend that to others. Yes, my tresses smell delightful and are bouncy, but the ends feel abused. But that's ok-- means more showers with its intended use!

At the time I purchased Flying Fox, I also got the sample size of 1000 Kisses. The two scents play well together as they share that jasmine note. The perfume doesn't seem to last long, but the underscore of Flying Fox helps keep it harmonious as the scent peters out.

I look forward to showering every day now that I've discovered Flying Fox. It just makes you feel good. The scent is incredible and feminine, and it lingers on the skin very softly. Sensual yet refreshing, an unbeatable combination. Like any Lush product, it pairs beautifully with other scents. I recommend smelling this product before buying it though, particularly if you are ordering it online, because it certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea. If you like simple scents, this may be too elaborate and overwhelming for you.

After looking at this online, I decided to go into the local Lush and check it out. At first I wasn't sure of the smell, but I ended up buying it and I'm glad I did. Now my roommate wants one too! You don't need a lot, and it has a decent amount of lather. Just writing this makes me want to go shower again just to use it.

I bought the large bottle of flying fox on my first trip to Lush and couldn't wait to try it out in the shower. Each time I use it, however, way more shoots out of the cap than I aim for, but I guess that just means extra jasmine and honey smell for me. I always get out of the shower smelling great, and each time I even go into my bathroom it's constant lingering fragrance is a tempting plea to just jump in the shower and lather up. I was also suggested the Gorilla Lust solid perfume which smells just as great and is of use out of the shower.
