Let me begin by saying that I do NOT like the smell of this. While I can tolerate it, the smell of it does not lift my mood like rose jam, Dorothy, armandopondo, or pop in the bath. So I had serious doubts as I was adding it to my bath water. But I hate to waste a drawn bath and I was very cranky so I tried it out. And it does what it says! It truly took the edge off my mood. In the length of a bath I go from hating the world to calm peacefulness. I find this all the more amazing since the smell does not appeal to me. I guess on the plus side it will last a while since I only reach for this when I really need it!

This is my favorite shower gel. It took me a while to warm up to it because it smells unlike other scents I typically go for, but once I started using Flying Saucers regularly it has become something I never want to be without. If you can imagine what Flying Fox would smell like if you took out the jasmine you would get a good picture of Flying Saucers. (Side note: I do not care for Flying Fox, but love this, so don't let the comparison talk you out of trying it.) What I smell most in this shower gel is the vetiver. The honey is super moisturizing and I leave my shower feeling calm and soft. I have sensitive skin and have never had any sort of bad reaction to this shower gel which says a lot considering my itchy skin!

I love this stuff! I won a bottle at the spring chat party and I was so so excited because I used to adore the Flying Saucers BBS. Sniffing right out of the bottle I was worried. It smelled acrid/metallic, but once in the shower the scent expands into the gorgeous pine-y day spa scent I remember. So good! I also really like it as bubble bath, and I love smelling it on my boyfriend. The only problem is...he and my brother absolutely adore it to so they're going to need to pony up for the replacement bottle, since they've already burned through 2/3 of it between them! (That's ok by me, the only thing more relaxing than a Flying Saucers bubble bath is smelling it on the boy!) Just be warned, if you have Lush-friendly men in the house, you may find your stash disappearing faster than usual. Please never take this out of retro, it has such a unique scent that doesn't smell like something that would appeal to the mall crowd!

I use this with a pouf in the shower when I want something calming. The lather is good with enough product. The scent in the bottle is fabulous (strong honey) and when it goes on my skin has a slight "funky" smell but I like it overall.

I've been using Lush products for years, visiting London often and finding the Lush store in Covent Gardens in the 90's. This was my very favortie product. Now that there are stores at home, in the U.S, I've been looking for Flying Saucers, my most favorite honey wash. I've tried other brands, and even other Lush honey products, but none have even compared to this. I am so excited to see this back in production! Yay!

I really wanted to love this. I get very bad PMS and anything that can help I try. I didn't notice that this helped at all and, if it smelled nice I wouldn't have cared. But it has an icky sweet/earthy smell,

Like the other review I read, I must agree that I would never had believed that this WORKS. I have literally been in a situation where i was SO upset, and SO P.M.S.-y that I was sobbing so hard I could not speak to explain what was wrong to my husband. He poured me a bath and I shoved my precious bottle of Flying Saucers Foam in his hands to use as my selected bubble bath, I got in, and slowly but surely, the sobbing slowed down. By the time I was exiting the bath, I could speak like a "normal" person again! Smile even! Amazing! I save this for those moments when I really need it, but even if something just miffed me off a little bit, but didn't feel like being miffed anymore, it works like a magical dream. I pray that LUSH never takes this off the Retro page! Thanks, LUSH!

I have to hand it to Lush for creating scents that don't feel focus-grouped. Usually when we buy honey as a scent in a bath product, we get candy-like fruity vanilla fragrances--the types of which people in the mall might immediately gravitate to, buy, and get sick of after a few showers.

Lush's honey is not sweet but earthy and organic smelling. It's brash, surprising, and unique. This is undoubtedly due to the addition of the vetivert giving it a herbal slant.

I don't think most people will like this. I can imagine the masses saying that it smells like medicine. It's just too weird. But it is for that reason that I love it.

This is similar to Flying Fox, but so different at the same time. It is in itself wonderful as well! I can't live without either Flying Fox or Flying Saucers, while were at it Lush do you think you can bring back Flying Saucers Bubble Bar!! Or how about Floating Fox Bubble Bar!!! Anything Flying or Floating will do!!!

This is great.

The smell while taking a smell at it is exceptional.

Taking a bath with this is sooo relaxing. It really helps you letting go and CALMS YOU DOWN.

I would'nt have believed it, if I haven't tried.

The only bad thing is, that it's soooo expensive.

I decided to purchase this product when I found out that this was only liquid bubble bath product Lush has ever created. I prefer fruits and sweet smells to florals so I decided to give this a try.

I've always used it as a bubble bath. It works really well as a bubble bath: the smell is sweet but isn't over powering, and it has good lather without using large amounts of product.

I love the smell of cypress -- so clean, so herbaceous -- and appreciate greatly LUSH's embrace of a non-mainstream scent. The honey has a nice leavening effect; it gives the cypress a bit of sweetness, and the cypress tamps down that weird indolic smell honey has sometimes. A clever combination and a lovely, grown-up scent.

i got this by accident, it was shipping instead of flying fox...totally not thrilled with. the honey scent is overwhelming and had a bit of a smoky undertone while i used it. great lather though and it made my skin feel nice.

It's alright. The scent is very strong, and lasts after the shower. It's definitely effective aromatherapy, it calms me down and makes me feel quite a bit better. Problem is that the fragrance isn't one that I want to smell like. It does what it's supposed to, but I don't like it and certainly don't want to smell like it. This is one of the few that I'd love it if the scent only lasted in the shower.

This is a very thick shower gel, I definitely recommend using a pouf with this to get a good lather. It will last a long time though. I loved how moisturizing FS was. I also liked the honey scent in the bottle and while showering. But this smells completely different after the shower. I have always been described as smelling like "metal and sugar" and this REALLY brings out the metallic scent of my skin. Too bad because I liked everything else. This is just one that doesn't work well with my personal chemistry.

To me this smells a lot like honey waffle soap which I love. I think it smells great and love the full spectrum scent of honey but can see how some people may smell a bit of a medicinal scent to it.

I'm really glad I gave this a try - it's currently my favorite shower gel. It seemed cloyingly sweet in the bottle but nice herbal notes came out in the shower, like black tea with honey and lemon in it. Not as sexy as Flying Fox, but soothing and gently moisturizing for my normal but over-washed skin. The fragrance lingered softly for a little while, too, which was nice. Thanks, Lush!

I've been holding out on reviewing this as it has taken me awhile to really come to a decision about how I feel about it. I don't hate the scent, but I don't love it either. It reminds me of mead wine. It does smell nice after being on my skin for awhile, so I appreciate the complexity of it. It is moisturizing, which is important. But I think as far as honey shower gels go, I'm going to stick to Flying Fox.
