Q:I was inquiring how this would work with oily acne prone skin? Would it be best if you used it at night? Thank you!Asked on 7/14/2015 by Steve from Cypress, TX
A:It's a light moisturizer perfect for all skin types, but I recommend using this in the morning unless you have a lighter moisturizer for the day like Vanishing Cream!Answered on 7/17/2015 by Pauline
Q:Why is this very expensive for just a moisturizerAsked on 6/27/2015 by Haihai
A:This is because the ingredients in Gorgeous are so plentiful and rare, and also because this is the best of the best of our brand. Gorgeous is the most expensive because it's ingredients are the hardest to source ethically.Answered on 6/30/2015 by Alexander from Lush Direct
Q:I am hoping to use this product at night and then use Celestial in the morning before applying my makeup, etc. Is this okay to use two different moisterizers for morning/night, or do you suggest sticking to just one for both?Asked on 4/3/2014 by TSmith from Pittsburgh, PA
A:I think you should do what works best for your skin! Some customers like to stick with one, some like a lighter one for the day, and a heavier one at night!Answered on 4/4/2014 by Kayla from LUSH DIRECT
Q:I read in one of the reviews that this "purges" the skin of oil and dirt and as a result can make you break out for a couple weeks. Is this true? And if so, how long will it take for my skin to clear up?Asked on 7/30/2013 by Maggie O from Albuquerque, NM
A:If the skin breaks out or has a reaction after trying a new product, this is usually a sign that it's not the right fit. If this occurs, we'd recommend discontinuing use, and perhaps trying a different product instead.Answered on 9/20/2013 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:I thought I read somewhere that this moisturizer contains natural AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) but there's no mention in the description. Does anyone know if it does contain natural AHA's?Asked on 8/27/2012 by Nichol from United States
A:Certain fruit, such as pineapple, for instance, are super rich in AHAs. We chose these fruit juices to include in Gorgeous for their naturally occurring AHA content, and brightening effects on the skin.Answered on 8/28/2012 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:How many uses can you expect to get out of a pot of this moisturizer? And what would be the price per use?Asked on 8/10/2012 by GranolaGirl from PA
A:Definitely your money's worth. It will last 7 months to a year depending on how much you use, which shouldnt be much. Ive had mine for 2 months and Ive barely made a dent and Ive used it everyday since I got it.Answered on 8/31/2012 by LushJunkieManda from Miami, FL
A:A little bit goes a long way, and even with daily use you should still be chipping away at it months later! Since use can vary from person to person, it's impossible to calculate an accurate price per use, but we do recommend using it with a toner, as that can actually result in applying less moisturizer!Answered on 11/1/2012 by Brandy from LUSH
Q:On average how many weeks months will this product last? If used day and night.Asked on 7/8/2012 by I love Neroli from Palm Springs CA
A:It depends! I find that I usually get about four months of use out of a pot of Gorgeous, when I am using it two (and occasionally three) times a day. It takes very little to cover the skin, and when combined with a toner (that helps the moisturizer apply more evenly, and stretch farther), you can get lots of coverage while still preserving the product!Answered on 7/12/2012 by Laura from LUSH
Q:This is a great moisturizer, but I am very curious, what makes it so expensive? What ingredients are in it that is so costly? I want to know that what I am paying for is costly for a good reason.Asked on 4/3/2012 by Naturally from Orange
A:It’s really a gorgeous product, hence why it has this name, and we use a lot of wonderful ingredients to give a glowing, soft and matte feeling, which is perfect for day. The product creators did not spare any expense when selecting the absolute best ingredients for this moisturizer. First, we use fresh organic orange, lemon and pineapple juices which contain enzymes to clear the skin, breaking down dirt and oil, to help degrease the skin naturally. These fresh fruit juices have a lovely brightening effect on the skin, and help to reduce the signs of aging.
After the fresh organic juices, we use a lot of emollient cold-pressed oils to soften and nourish the skin. Cold-pressing is the best way to harvest the oil without losing its most beneficial components, however the yield of oil is much less than what would be the result if heat was used. As a result, cold-pressed oils are more costly. In Gorgeous, the cold-pressed oils selected include olive, evening primrose, avocado, extra virgin coconut, and wheatgerm. These oils are packed with vitamin E and other skin-saving nutrients to keep skin soft, flexible, and healthy.
Finally, we tuck in some important essential oils- in this case neroli oil is a very important one. Neroli is known to have uplifting effects on the mind, and has amazing regenerative and restorative effects on the skin. It helps to maintain and promote skin’s elasticity as well, making it a wonderful choice for anti-aging skin care products. It tends to be incredibly costly, as it requires very many blossoms to yield a very small amount of essential oil.
What I like best about Gorgeous is that it’s lightweight enough to be absorbed easily into the skin without feeling greasy or heavy, but leaves my skin soft and smooth throughout the day. A little goes a long way, and I find that a pot lasts ages to finish, even with regular daily use, so it is definitely worth the money!Answered on 4/9/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:It is the oils in the product that make it so costly.Answered on 4/16/2012 by Gramma Lorna from Terrace, bc, ca
A:I believe its the main ingredient which is Orange Blossom, Honey Water, which is made by bees that only pollinate orange blossom flowers making it rare and expensive.Answered on 5/26/2012 by bnmartinez from Pearland,TX
