It's really weird that I bought this, because I hate bananas, like, a lot. So, in the tub, this stuff is kind of smelly. But once you've lathered yourself up and rinsed it all away, you end up smelling like a fruity chocolate truffle. And I'm just fine with that. I'm not too big on the almonds in it, as they don't really seem to do a whole lot as far as exfoliating, but the mosturizer is amazing! During the DC winters, I don't need to use lotion at all on the days I use this stuff!

I was so excited when this came in the mail because I love bananas :). I smelled it right away, expecting the smell of real bananas, but it just had a strange smell that I couldn't describe. I thought it would smell better when i actually used it (which is how a lot of lush products are)but it still had that strange smell. It made my skin softer than most things I've tried but it gave me a couple bumps all over my body which is such a disappointment. As soon as I stopped using it, they went away.:( i guess my skin is just sensitive. i think it is still worth a try though, and if it didnt give me bumps, i might actually go buy it again

I love scrubby things and this is amazing. I use it in the shower. It's exactly what I have been looking for from Lush. I don't like salt scrubs (although I have Ocean Salt), I've tried Buffy, (meh) but this - I'm ordering more!

This was not a love at first "scrub". I had read the other reviews with the understanding of the funky smell, and I'm not a big banana fan. However, I decided to give it a try. I wanted an easier and longer lasting "Buffy". I have to say that I'm not all the crazy about the smell. My pot smelt like a mix of bananas, play doh, and almonds. I'm able to ignore the smell because the rest of it is AMAZING! I just re-ordered another pot. If it smelt more like sympathy for the skin I would love it even more.

Oh and I found the best way to use it and make it last long (I was going on 4 months when my sister split the remaining 50% in the shower). If you have a bathtub/shower, using it sitting down while the shower is running. Make sure the pot is far away from the faucet. Just dip your fingers into the pot and apply directly to your skin. I just use it for my legs and arms (unless I'm feeling generous).

Invigorating scrubby t.exture and fantastically natural scent! Didn't think I'd like it but I do. For the price tho u prob could get something that achieves the same results elsewhere, so if anything I'd recommend this if you enjoy fresh actual banana scents, bc at least u won't find that anywhere else!

I love using this when I need a little relaxation. The banana scent is authentic, not that fake gross scent. The almond scrub works really well. It's not a lather-producer, however. It feels more like a moisturizing body conditioner/scrub than a shower gel or cleanser.

I use this product in the shower, and while it is messy and looks like mustard (gets EVERYWHERE) it smells wonderful and is very easy to use. I was worried I'd smell like fruit salad and instead I smell like flowers. (HOW DO YOU DO THAT??) I live in Florida and wear flipflops nearly year round. My feet get kinda icky, so I use this on them daily. My feet are soft and supple like I get a pedi every day. The best thing is that while this product is great for my feet, it's also good for more tender parts of my body.

Now. The mess. I end up getting little mustard like bits everywhere in my shower. I just rinse it off after showering. DON'T WAIT. This stuff dries and makes it hard to clean off.

Order this product. It's 100% worth the mess.

This smoothie smells sooooo good! It smells like fresh bananas, not the candy banana scent that other companies have! I wish the scent would linger on my skin but banana is such a soft scent, so I don't blame lush. It is really runny so I love to put it in the fridge before I use it... that thickens it up and feels really refreshing on my skin! LOVE IT!

I love this product. The lather isn't the best but I don't care. It smells amazing and it last for quite a while after the shower. My boyfriends can always tell when I use it, He is always like "O lord the banana queen just arrived." Most of my lush stuff had banana in it.. But all jokes and pokes aside. If you find your skin a little dry this product is for you!

I thought this would be interesting and it is. Straight out of the jar it doesn't smell as hot but it has definitely grown on me. I don't use it every day as I have a large variety of products. If you like banana and almond you'll like this.

When I first read the reviews and ordered this product I was very excited for it. The moment I recieved it I was disappointed. Of course, the first thing I did was open it and smell it. One thing that attracted me to this product was the positive reviews on the smell, but when I opened mine it just smells awful! It smells rotten and spoiled and not pleasant at all, and I'm thinking I can't be the only person who thinks that, did I get a bad batch? So I decided I would use it anyways since I paid so much for it. I do like the exfoliated beads, however I did find that I have to use a lot of the product in order for the lather to last while i wash my entire body. When I rinse it off my skin feels sticky, which I don't like at all. It also makes a mess of my shower! Hopefully the yellow won't stain it. I will try to finish the product because it is a good gentle exfoliater but I will be pairing it with a softer body wash afterwards to get rid of the smell and sticky feeling. I will not be repurchasing this product.

I use this product as I would any lush soap in the jars. Might sound strange. I like to get undressed. Slather this all over my dry body (don't do your feet as you could slip wait until you are in the shower for feet), really working the exfoliants with this one. Turn on my shower water. Wait until it gets warm. Hop into the dry area of my shower. Splash a little water on myself. Lather it up on my body. I have no issues with it lathering. I get a full creamy lather. My skin feels soft and smooth after, hydrated. I waste less water.

Side note: I buy most lush on-line. I usually buy these (in the tubs) to double as shower gel/shaving cream type things. This one has a manual exfoliant in it, not good for shaving with. However, I encourage you to try it before you shave. You will get the closest smoothest shave from using this before. If you are a bather, be sure to rinse it off in the shower first before shaving in the tub. The little beads will get stuck and ruin your razor blades.

Banana anything makes me want to buy it. Ive never loved a product(besides ocean salt) more then this! I will always keep this in my shower, and guest bathroom. All my friends wanted to try it as soon as I got it because it was such an interesting concept, and it impressed us all! Glowy, soft skin, with a subtle banana smell that is not too over powering, such a great summer smoothie to have!

Gumback Express is the first Lush product I ever used way back when. Now some 8 years later although my shower tastes have changed to prefer solid soaps rather than gels or creams this shower smoothie has remained a must in my beauty regime. Not only is the smell simultaneously invigorating and relaxing (an enigma I know!) but it also works to exfoliate areas that I normally do not pay attention to like chest, back and feet.

I bought the Gumback Express a few months ago on a whim not really expecting to like it. But I thought what the heck, I love the smell of banana and I hadn't tried any of the Lush shower smoothies before.

I am in love with this stuff. It doesn't have a horrible sickly sweet smell of bananas that I sort of expected. It genuinely smells of ripe banana and it wasn't even close to being overwhelming. But by far my favorite part of the Gumback Express is tiny bits of almond. They scrub and exfoliate your skin like no other.

The moment I got out of the shower the first time after using it, I wrapped up my wet hair and threw on a towel, turned on my laptop and bought 4 more pots. I'm terrified they're going to take it off the retro list and I'll be stuck without it again!

I really do love Gumback Express. I love the way it looks (like banana pulp), the way it smells (like yummy banana dessert), it cleans and moisturizes at the same time. I don't mind, that it doesn't lather all that much. I'm not much of a lather fanatic. Also this Smoothie peels your skin as you use it and I like this. But within this, lies also my one and only real complain, that isn't even the fault of the product: I hate how loose peeling bits feel on the palm of my hand as I apply them. It bothers me and therefor I will tend to stick with the exfoliating body butters or shower scrubs.
Other then that I would make this my permanent shower smoothie because I really adore this product.

One of the first things I did was to pour this into a clean Okra bottle. This made it much easier to apply!!!!!!!!!!!

The banana smell is fabulous. I think this product is the best exfoliant because it is sooo gentle. It feels creamy smooth and gently scrubby. You just have to try it !
