Apply generously to dry hair, leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, and then shampoo out. Use about a quarter of a pot for short hair, or about half a pot for longer hair. Those with very long hair should use the whole pot. (Yes, it is a lot, but the effects are long lasting and well worth the investment.) H'Suan Wen Hua will remain fresh for up to three months. Always check the expiration date on your product.

Q:I have reasonably dry, fine hair that has ringlet curls, but a thin layer of straight frizz on the top- i am trying to find a hair treatment that would encourage the curls in my hair a bit more but not compromise volume- I can't decide between this one and Roots!! Which one would be the best for me? I also use Curly Wurly shampooAsked on 3/28/2015 by Erin
A:Roots would be a great option! Because it is catered towards finer/thinner hair, you would not have to worry about it weighing down your curls, or compromising volume.Answered on 3/29/2015 by Sal from LUSH Direct
Q:I have used and abused my hair. I had it dyed black, grew out some. Got a perm, which did horrible damage to it. Bleached some of it, dyed it again, and then a couple of weeks later I dyed it again with Henna. I can barely run my fingers through it and for what little I can, it feels rouge, frizzy, and dead. Needless to say my hair is in HORRIBLE condition. Will this help bring some life back to it?Asked on 12/3/2014 by AThornton from Big Arm, MT
A:HI there! Thanks for your question! Yes it totally will!
H'Suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment is especially designed for dry, frizzy, damaged hair!Answered on 1/2/2015 by Anonymous
A:It for sure will help! Whenever I use it it makes my hair so soft and bring shine back into it. It even works better than coconut oil. This is coming from someone who also had had course/dry/color treated hair!Answered on 12/3/2014 by Anonymous
I had done less work to my hair than you but I did bleach parts of my main
locks which gave me some damage. I really like this hair mask. You get
softer and silkier hair for about 2 weeks and then the product needs to be
used.. So for me the only downside is how long it lasts. Overall I like it
and still use it!Answered on 12/3/2014 by Anonymous
Q:Is this product considered to be sulfate free and can it be used on hair that has been chemically treated with a Brazilian straightening product?Asked on 10/1/2014 by Gretchen from United States
A:They are not sulfate free. We haven't tested them on chemically treated hair, but you I personally use it and doesn't strip any color out!Answered on 10/2/2014 by Anonymous

Q:My product arrived in the mail as a liquid. After watching a LUSH demonstration video about the product, I see that it's not supposed to be liquid but creamy. I am supposed to put it in the fridge?Asked on 2/20/2014 by Caleigh from Syracuse, NY
A:H'Suan Wen Hua can vary a bit in consistency, and being quite liquidy is not unusual. You do not need to store this product in the fridge.Answered on 3/21/2014 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:Hi! I bought this product in the actual store and it was creamy; it had thick consistency. I think the heat might've melted it. Either you can stick it in the fridge or return it for another one!Answered on 2/21/2014 by Anonymous
Q:Should I keep this product in the refrigerator? Or is okay in room temperature?Asked on 1/26/2014 by Kelsey from United States

A:I love this product!! I kept mine room temperature with no problems :DAnswered on 1/26/2014 by Anonymous

A:While it's not designed specifically for colour-treated hair, H'Suan Wen Hua is made up of gentle, moisturizing ingredients, and it's been used successfully by many people with colour-treated hair! If you have any concerns, just try a small amount on a patch of hair before doing the whole treatment!Answered on 3/8/2013 by Brandy from LUSH

A:The H'Suan Wen Hua is a great product for dry hair, because of how many nourishing ingredients it contains. It has avocado oil, olive oil, and lanolin, to moisturize and protect the hair, and cinnamon helps stimulate the scalp. This will definitely help add moisture and shine to dry hair, and will encourage a healthy scalp.Answered on 7/12/2012 by Laura from LUSH
Q:After you shampoo, should you condition as usaul, or is it unnecessary.Asked on 5/21/2012 by Anonymous
A:You can definitely condition as usual.Answered on 7/6/2012 by silk from NY, NY
A:We definitely recommend using a conditioner after shampooing to help restore moisture and nutrients back to the hair. H'Suan Wen Hua is a hair mask, however, we have many great conditioners that would be appropriate for use after shampooing.Answered on 8/31/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:I'm a bit nervous about the smell and shelf-life with the ingredients list. Is it really bad?Asked on 4/16/2012 by EdieViolet from SanDiego
A:The scent reminds me a bit of chai tea- lots of spiciness. The shelf-life for H'suan Wen Hua is 3 months from when it was manufactured. I find that I can get about two full hair applications out of one pot, so I'm able to finish it off long before the expiry. Feel free to use lots- it feels AMAZING!Answered on 4/17/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:I thought this product had a very pleasant smell. I usually don't like deep conditioners because they smell so strong and every where you go you know people are looking at you, thinking that you just deep conditioned your hair and why doesn't it look any better than that! LOL But this had a nice, clean, fragrance that I really liked.Answered on 4/23/2012 by SheWritesaLot from Columbus, Ohio
A:The smell, I feel fades by the end of the day and i'm sure you'll hardly notice it when you start using this product....it makes hair amazing. And it should be good for a year :)Answered on 5/4/2012 by petitepraline from NJ
A:Go by the "use by date." Since it does have egg and other perishable ingredients you have to keep an eye on it. You can't store it like other products. I recommend you use it about one a week, therefore if you have medium to a longer length a bigger contained of product will last about 2-3 weeks (2-3 applications). If you use it like this then there is no need to worry.
The smell leaves a lot of be desired! But the end result is definitely worth it. I would suggest rinsing it off with one of Lush's better smelling products, there are many :)Answered on 5/20/2012 by Patti from Oakland, Ca
