My first review!!! I had to say something about this product because it's awesomeeeee. My only problem is that I cannot decide which I like better, this one or the Henna & Jasmine one.They are both so wonderful!! If I had to describe them I would say this one makes my hair smooth, sleek, shiny, and soft while the Henna one makes my hair like BABY HAIR it makes it SO soft but not as sleek. Two very different outcomes but both amazing. My hair is thick, curly, dry, and very long so I need the sleekness. I plan on rotating between the two but this one might suit my hair better. I have been using it with Ultimate Shine solid shampoo and my hair looks great, I make people touch it all the time and I am always talking about it. its terrible, but I can't help it. My ends are totally fried because I bleached them and this makes them look so much healthier and smoother. One thing I do want to mention is that I have tried the regular conditioners (retread, american dream cream, and I think one other one) and they did nothing for my hair. I even tried them for a few months to see if maybe it would take a while to get my hair used to them but nope. Yet these work perfect! Also they say to use half of the container and I only used a tiny bit for my waist long hair, the great thing is you can put it on dry hair and leave it on all night. Not to mention my hair smells really good all day until I rinse it. I actually like how my hair looks with it in, a little textured and messy. When applying I would recommend doing a small piece of hair at a time so that you cover all of your hair and use less product. It's not the best lush scent but it does smell really good, like a cinnamon candle.

I NEVER leave reviews for products... but i just had to for this one! This product was recommended me by the lady in the shop and I am forever thankful! I'm on my 2nd pot and i get 3-4 uses out of each pot! It's wonderful! My hair used to be extremely damaged, as I use heat styling on a daily basis. Whenever I used to blow dry and straighten my hair, it would become unbearably frizzy and look strange. Now after using this product once weekly, my hair has been totally transformed. My hair is now soft, smooth and most importantly... frizz free! I have extremely thick hair, so I do leave the product on for about an hour (it says 20 minutes on the directions but I've noticed I get more in exchange for letting it sit an hour). Unlike most of the other buyers, I am in LOVE with the smell! It's delicious and makes me love the product even more! I completely recommend this product to anyone who has frizzy, unmanageable hair. A++++ product.

I usually don't write a review unless I REALLY love something, and this is definitely a product that I REALLY loved.

I have super long, thick, dry hair that has been put through the ringer. I've dyed it, bleached it, flat ironed it, blow dried it, and done everything under the sun that dries out and generally damages hair. My ends had been feeling especially dried out and split-endy lately and I wanted a product that would really kick my hair back into gear. This was that product.

Using it was pretty simple (as in I had my boyfriend apply it for me as I can't really get it into my scalp with how much hair I have) and I ended up using the entire pot on my hair. Applied it to dry hair, let it sit for about an hour, and then took a shower washing it out with my Rehab shampoo and American Cream conditioner. Let me tell you, my hair has never felt more soft. I couldn't stop touching it or even smelling it (it was like pumpkin pie). It was definitely worth the price as my hair is feeling a lot more in condition.

The only drawback is that I wish there was more product as, like I said, I used the entire pot on my hair and scalp. Either way, I will definitely be purchasing this again as probably a once a month spa treatment for my tresses.

I dye my hair way more than I should. Probably every 2-4 weeks. And A few months ago I experimenteed with bleach, what a horrible idea. It left my hair dead. It was so bad I couldnt even run a comb thru it without alot of breakage. I tried many drug store conditioners and deep conditioning treatments. With those my hair would be ok for 1-2 days. Then back to being dead. I heard alot about lush's hair treatments and thought why not give it a try? I purchased H'suan Wen Hua in my last online order not knowing what to expect since I've read mixed reviews. I tried it the first night I got it. I left it on for a little under an hour since my hair was so bad I wanted to leave it on longer than the bottle said. The smell was strong, but it wasnt a horrible smell. Like you were holding a fresh cinnamon stick under your nose. And I rinsed it out and let it dry. (I never brush my hair until it's completely dry.) I was nervous at first but I was actually able to brush my hair with minimal breakage. I was surprized. My hair was feeling so soft and managable for about a week. And Then I did the treatment again. It doesnt make my hair 100% better but it is a good improvement. I've used it once-twice a week for about a month and I know I'll be repurchasing it again when I make my next order. I know they say to use 1/2 the bottle when you do a treatment, but My hair is to my shoulder blades and I've gotten 5-6 uses out of it. I'm very pleased. If you have damnaged hair DEFFINATELY give H'suan Wen Hua a try!

I was given this as a sample at a lush store. I have long straight hair and on the thicker side. Things like this don't usually work on my hair but I decided to give it a try. It worked wonders on my hair and the next day it looks even better than right after it was done. I'm a definite believer in this product! It smells a lot like chai tea but paired with lushs Seanick shampoo and the big conditioner bar, my hairs smells great!

The directions say to leave on for 20 minutes, then wash it out, but I leave it in for longer and get AMAZING, freaking awesome results. I have extremely thin and fine (thine), curly, curly hair, and its usually dry and frizzy. After my weekly application, my hair is always at its utmost best. Soft to the touch, shiny, looking and feeling deeply nourished. Cannot get enough. Love you Lush!

This is a fabulous treatment but because my hair is so thick I literally, if I follow directions, and apply it to my hair dry it takes HALF the tub. I recommend wetting hair a bit so you can spread it easier. This is the Once a Week treatment I use to help detangle and there is NO build up. It's awesome - for the price they should give you MORE PRODUCT.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I have combination hair. It's thick and medium length, but the roots get oily while the ends get dry.. It's so annoying. I got this in the store because it had eggs in it: PROTEIN: Health and more length! (I'm trying to grow my hair out) .. When I went to use it, I was extremely skeptical, having unsuccessfully used other hair masks before. I was afraid that it would be overpowering, greasy, or leave my hair just over moisturized, due to the bananas and oils. I couldn't wait to shampoo it out. But HOLY SMOKES! I went to wash it out... NO RESIDUE. NO GREASE. My hair felt amazing! Soft, silky, and detangled! My hair is usually so dull and tangly, no matter what products I use, nothing happens. But I will definitely buy this again! It didnt leave any weird stuff in my shower, either! Once I had rinsed it out, I seriously didnt want to shampoo it, it felt so nice. (I did anyway, since it suggested that I should) NO OTHER PRODUCT HAS WORKED SO WELL. It's like it repaired all the damage I had ever put my hair through! FIVE STARS +

The first time I tried this product, I was absolutely disgusted. I went into the store, and this product was given to me as a sample. I sort of forgot about it, and then picked it up one random evening to try. As soon as I put it on my head, the smell hit me. It was absolutely TERRIBLE. I wanted to gag it was so disgusting. I washed it off my head immediately, and vowed to stick to my old faithful Jasmine & Henna.

Well, one day on a whim, I decided to try this product again. I bought a container of it, and took it home to try immediately. I was completely terrfied to open it, but when I did, I was so pleasantly surprised! This smelled SO MUCH BETTER. Much more full of cinnamon, and much less like vinegar (like the last batch). I think the problem with the sample was that it had sat too long in a bathroom with hot steam. Be careful of the date on these containers! They're there for a reason.

I can say with confidence that I completely love this product now. I use it once twice a month, alternating with Jasmine & Henna, and my hair has never been happier. I would completely, 100% recommend this product if you're looking for a conditioning treatment that is moisturizing, great smelling, and effective. Also, if you have the time, leave it on for longer than the suggested 20 minutes! I try to do an hour, and I'm always happy with the results.

This stuff works wonders! I just got back from a cruise and due to the wind, sun, and salty air, my hair was a wreck upon arrival back to shore. I received a sample of this stuff to go with my henna treatment a couple weeks ago, but I'm glad I saved it for last!
The sample was enough to coat my whole head, and I focused mostly on the ends and underside. I left it on my head for about 45 minutes. At first, I wasn't too sure about it because it felt oily and wasn't going on very smooth. It felt like a putty or hair pomade, actually. Regardless, I emptied the container and went about my business. After the 45 minutes were up, I hopped in the shower and rinsed it out. IMMEDIATELY I noticed a difference! My hair felt smoother, thicker, and instantly detangled. It was very easy to rinse out and didn't leave any residue. I used a non-Lush shampoo with the product, but I would also recommend Rehab shampoo if you want to stick with Lush merch. After my shower I topped everything off with a light application of R&B.
Some of the reviews complain about the smell...it reminds me of eggnog. The smell is overpowering by itself, but it quickly dissipates upon application to the hair. It's nothing compared to the henna smell!
Ultimately, if you want a good deep conditioner...look no further :o)

I bought this product about a month ago and have since used it several times, always with great results :)

My hair is very long and very thick, and it tends to be a bit dry at the ends, especially in the wintertime, so I just used the treatment on the bottom 2/3 of my hair. I applied it to dry hair and left it on for about half an hour, then rinsed it out in the shower and shampooed and conditioned as usual.

My hair was immediately so soft and silky and when it dried it was very glossy and smooth. It was like magic!

On a side note, I also really, really enjoyed the smell :) To me it was very reminiscent of Christmas and as I was using it during the Christmas season I found it to be a very nice and festive pick-me-up (although I will, of course, continue to use it throughout the year).

Overall, I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this product, and I will definitely be buying it again (although, despite having used it a good three or four times, I still have over 2/3 of the pot left!) Highly recommended.

I've had a couple friends that have used this product before and at first I was really happy with the effect, however when my hair had dried I wasn't happy with the result.
1) It doesn't smell that good, a bit like eggs.
2) When my hair dried it wasn't soft or helped my hair at all (I had medium fried hair)
3) It actually tangled my hair a bit.
I would only recommend this to a friend if they were desperate for something new for their hair.

I got this on a whim. I had heard about it enough times that I got curious and I drove out to the Lush store (which is not close btw) and the salespeople were very helpful. I decided to take the plunge and buy the full size rather than a sample because the store is too far to go back to easily.

After reading a lot of comments and suggestions on how to use it, I generously spread it over my hair (just below shoulder length, somewhat thick), put on a processing cap and let it sit two hours while I did other stuff. Rinsed it out, washed with Rehab and a non-lush conditioner. I treated it with a tiny bit of R&B like I usually do then blow dried.

Now let me tell you, my hair has been through some stuff. It doesn't like to listen at all. Its old school black hair. Its dry, frizzy, goes where it wants and curls up when I want it flat or is flat when I want curls. This stuff turned it into fairy silk with a shine I haven't seen since my teenage years! I had to bat my husbands hands away to get him to stop messing with it. Its softer than I ever hoped it would be. I flat ironed it once and its been hands off ever since. I don't need to do anything but brush and go!

Never have I known anything to work that well. Needless to say I'm going to be stocking up on this.

I am new to Lush products and a friend recommended that I try this product to help with my occasionally frizzy, often fluffy, can't-decide-if-it's-curly-or-not hair. I was extremely skeptical that anything could help without being a lot of work - I am kind of a tomboy and am not really interested in spending lots of time or product trying to make my hair behave!

I applied about 1/3 of a pot for my hair, which reaches about to the bottom of my shoulder blades. I covered it with a shower cap and left it on for 2 hours based on the suggestions of other reviewers. Then I rinsed it out and went to bed. In the morning I washed and conditioned as normal, then let my hair dry naturally.

I was STUNNED at how much of a difference just one application made. My hair is not super damaged - I don't color it, almost never use a blowdryer, and only wash about twice a week to avoid over-stripping - but I still saw a dramatic effect. Usually if I let my hair hang loose rather than braiding while it's still wet, it turns into a tangled mess that I have to fight with a brush. After H'Suan Wen Hua, I let my hair dry loose, then finger-combed and put it into my normal braid easily.

Regarding the scent, I found it a little overpowering in the jar, but once on my hair it wasn't so bad. After washing I really don't notice it at all. Don't let the smell stop you from at least giving it a try!

I picked this item up after trying the Jasmine adn Henna Fluff Ease with no impressive results. I have always been one for deep conditioning, so when I switched my beauty care over to Lush, I read up about all the hair treatments. The descriptions of the smell of HSWH threw me off, but it's not that bad. To me it smells a little of eggs, a little avacado and some jamsine. That might just be my nose, but it's not bad. When applying it to my hair, I noticed how much easier and less messy it was than the jasmine and Henna Fluff Ease. Upon washing it out (and using my usual Lush shampoo and conditioner) my hair was so soft and shiney! I have short hair - pixie cut - so I can see that that tub would last awhile for me as this is my new deep conditioner.

I don't blow dry my hair but years of daily straightening and lack of care had left my hair pretty dry, damaged, and dead. It's never been colored but I was starting to ask for help from people who damaged their hair that way, to give you an idea.

I had switched from non-sulfate shampoo and conditioner and tried Neutrogena's hair mask (along with other hair masks of similar quality---which is actually quite "good") and all to little avail. I was getting frustrated, even considering cutting my long hair off and starting over, much to my boyfriend's not-so-effectively hidden dismay!

I was AMAZED what what a difference H'Suan Wen Hua made. After just one use my hair is now soft, shiny, much straighter (I think some of the waves were just from my hair being so dry!) and just all around pretty. Yay worthy!

I don't really understand the folks complaining about smell or price. The price is awesome and it smells like olive oil because Lush is almost totally natural. I much prefer this smell to that of chemical flowers or whatever and keeping the scent simple lets the product focus on what it's meant to do.

I was really excited about this product due to the high ratings but I was disappointed. It smells awful and the smell linger in your hair for a whole week. It did absolutely nothing for my hair!!!! I am really disappointed.
