I'm a hair stylist and am constantly getting my hands wet, and tend to have dry skin. I can use this at the beginning of my day and reapply it about every 3-5 washes - and that's being generous. Helping Hands has a light moisture barrier so it repels some water, and conditions and soothes dry skin when it's tight and painful. It's light enough to use in the summertime and doesn't make any irritated skin feel worse. Fantastic! A must have for those who are constantly getting their hands wet or just want a great soothing lotion.

This is a great product if you're in need of an intense moisturizer but don't want hands feeling greasy for half an hour, especially if you wash your hands frequently during the day for work and/or live in cold, dry climates. I usually apply this first on my hands, and then apply my all-over moisturizer on my legs, knees, and elbows. By the time I'm done, Helping Hands has soaked right in, and my skin feels like velvet. A little goes a very long way, and lasts most of the day for me. It's also the only moisturizer that I've ever used on my chapped, dry nose in the winter time that has worked, and doesn't irritate my poor skin. I also dab a tiny bit on the little dry patches I get on my face in the wintertime (especially just above the corners of my mouth), and it works miracles.

Ever have an awful cold and your poor little nose gets roughed up and raw from constant tissue use? Use Helping Hands to save face! I use just a bit anywhere my face has gotten rubbed the wrong way - it soothes, reduces redness, and re-moisturizes! Amazing!

I bought this item because my mother was dying to try it since she can't find a lotion that works on her hands because she is constantly sanitizing them. This is amazing My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a bigger size. When it soaks in, it's not greasy, and it hardly smells at all. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for something to make your hands soft and smooth.

I have to wash my hand a lot for my job and this amazing lotion puts the moisture right back into them. It has a great lightly floral scent that is not overpowering.I would definitely buy this again.

I don't know about anyone else, but I always buy hand creams in hope of having something that will make my hands soft without making them end up being sweaty. So far, this is the only hand cream (or lotion) that actually leaves my hands that beautiful and remarkable softness without making my palms sweaty and nasty (which is especially nice for those of us in the dating world). I only use enough to cover my hands lightly, and it lasts an incredibly long time!

This product has absolutely saved my hands! I just noticed that in the description, it mentions nurses, which is funny because I work in a hospital. The constant Purel-ing and washing with industrial anti-bacterial soaps absolutely wrecks my hands. I walked into a Lush store for the first time and said "help me! I have hospital hands!" and showed her my cracked, red, irritated hands. She immediately pointed me to Helping Hands. She washed my hands with Sea Salt Scrub and coated them in Helping Hands and I was SHOCKED at the difference!
My sales associate was so sweet, she even gave me a travel size container to fill so I could keep it on me at work. My coworkers love it, too. When the coffee has been made, we take the remaining grounds, and scrub our hands with them for exfoliation and then give them a coat of Helping Hands. The difference is amazing.
Every time I go into Lush, I have to ask the associate for a bunch of the travel size containers to fill with Helping Hands because my coworkers keep asking me for them!

I have only been using this product for a day and have already noticed differences! I've applied it a couple times after washing my hands throughout the day and began to realize that I don't even have to apply it as often because my hands feel moisturized even AFTER washing them. That fact alone is enough reason for me to keep buying.
This stuff really lasts and has a nice floral but subtle scent.

My only complaint is that it's a little greasy for my taste at first but once it absorbs, it feels silky.

i really wouldn't know whether or not this stuff works well; it smells so gross i can't even bring myself to use it. i actually hate the smell. can't toss it because i paid so much for it. however, i did offer it to a friend at work to use when she had a bit of a rash on her neck. it did seem to calm it, so for that i gave one star.

I work as a school nurse. As a nurse, I find myself with my hands in water ALL day long. One day, my co-worker let me try a little of this "Helping Hands". I fell in love with it immediately. After being unsuccessful in trying to find it in a local store, I came to work one day only to have a jar placed in my hands. All hope was not lost, i can now order it online or just have my favorite co-worker pick it up for me. Thanks for a product that nurses can be proud of.

First I use rub rub rub on my hands to get rid of any dead skin, then I put on the helping hands to sofen. My hands feel perfectly smooth. It's especially great for me because I work in a nursing home so my hands tend to get really dry. Highly recommend.

I work in retail and work with clothing all day long. My hands are constantly dry and chapped and I had a really hard time finding a lotion that had long lasting moisture. This lotion is fantastic! I put it on at night after I have washed my face and everything and when I wake up my hands are always super soft and moisturized for the entire day! It's the only product that has worked for me and my eczema prone hands. I use it on really dry spots on my legs too. It's not super greasy and it absorbs quickly for me! The only down side for me is that the smell is a little strong. I love love love this handcream!

This product is a miracle worker. I have had a skin condition on the backs of my hands for years- they were dry, super itchy, bumpy and scabby from scratching them. I have tried literally EVERYTHING including medicated creams and nothing has worked. I thought I was doomed to this embarrassing skin condition and ugly hands. I was placing an order online and figured what the heck let me try this and WOW after TWO DAYS of using it my hands are COMPLETELY CLEAR!! My husband is a physician and he was shocked at the results! He touches my hands and he cant believe that they are MINE!! lol I am looking at them right now and I still cant believe it!! Thanks for my new pretty hands!!! :D

I bought this for my mom because she is a nurse; as many of you know the constant hand-washing of the healthcare field can take a toll on one's hands. It has made a drastic improvement on the dryness of her hands. She applies a small amount at night and after showers. While I don't have extremely dry hands, I wanted to give Helping Hands a try to see how it would work on my normal skin. This is now my go-to lotion! It is the perfect consistency, and it absorbs quickly! People who claim that it is too greasy are probably applying too much, a little goes a long way with Lush products. My one gripe with Helping Hands is the scent, it's not bad; however, it's just not my cup of tea. All in all, a great lotion for all skin types!

I bought this at Lush about a year ago and love it. I work in the medical field so I can't wear fragrance so Helping Hands is perfect for me. I constantly have to wash my hands so using this in between has saved my skin from painful dryness. I also use it on burns. I burned my hand and happened to use this lotion the next day and it calmed my skin, reducing the pain of the burn and I think overall it healed faster. I burned myself again while curling my hair (yes, i'm accident prone) and I have been using it on those burns too! I will definitely buy this again:)

I suffer from psoriasis on the palms of my hands. I have tried everything including prescription medications in all forms to help control the plaques and dry cracking skin. A few months ago a Lush sales rep. (Gardens mall, North Palm Beach Fl) recommended I try this. My hands have improved, they are actually healing! I have never had results like this! I rub some on my hands every chance I get, especially at night. Thank you Lush for producing a product that has made a HUGE difference in my life. Please don't ever stop making Helping Hands.

I got this moisturizer along with ocean salt for christmas. Latelly my hands have been feeling like sandpaper from washing dogs for work. After applying the ocean salt exfoliater, and this moisturizer, my hands have immediately felt amazing. It smells like how lotion should smell, without all that fake aromas. Theres a lot of natural oils in this lotion that REALLY keeps your hads moisturized. Some people may think this is too oily, but it was made for people with overdried skin.
