Amazing, amazing product! I have been using it for a little over one week and my skin is finally healing from years of acne. I have been on a search for a really long time to a face cleanser that helped my acne prone skin, and Herbalism is it!! I use grease lightening as well. The combo of the two is amazing. I have sensitive skin, and these products have not bothered me at all. I am in love with LUSH!

I got this product because it was recommended for congested skin. While it has made me skin smoother, I have also found that it makes my skin too oily. My skin goes from being combination in the summer to being very dry in the winter. However, this product makes my skin feel too "slick," and I don't like using it as an everyday cleanser. It also has made me breakout a bit. It's a nice product, and I plan on using it occasionally, but I don't think I will be using it everyday as it seems to knock the balance of my skin off.

The first time it worked amazingly,however the second time I bought it, it was hard and falling apart. Then it started breaking me out like crazy . :/ I wish it worked better to be honest.

I have horrifically oily skin and often have little bumps that will not go away even after chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and exfoliation. I've been using herbalism for 2 DAYS and there is a huge noticeable difference in my skin! I will never ever ever use any other product. I love you people.

I have extremely stubborn, sensitive skin, and most cleansers would help with my acne, but would also dry out my skin, even if I used a moisturizer. But, Herbalism not only HELPED with my acne, it completely cleared my skin! I got a sample in store, and after a week I bought the largest container, because this stuff is amazing. At first, using it is a little odd, because it doesn't foam or feel like a normal cleanser, since I'm fairly new to Lush. I was actually unsure if it was going to work. But, after I washed it off, my skin felt baby soft. Within 3 nights, almost all of my acne disappeared, and the cleanser gently exfoliated, curing my dry, flaky spots. Another wonderful thing I noticed is that a lot of my acne scars have began disappearing! I've never had such a smooth, clear complexion. And a bonus, you don't have to use a whole lot, so it lasts for a while! The only down side is it smells like pickles to me, but if you don't mind pickles, well it really isn't bad at all, and the smell doesn't linger on your skin. Definitely a must-try for sensitive, acne-prone skin!

i tried this stuff because i was tired of using strong face washes that would dry out my face and not fully clear my acne. i've been usuing this only three days and already my face is completely clear!! not one blemish and its actually worked as a toner as well, my skin is super smooth, and my pores are even smaller! this stuff si amazing. it really ismt that hard to use either. pea size in your hand (shape your hand like a bowl, add drops of water at a time (it doesnt take much) then mush it together sdding ester rif needed, then just scrub and rinse and bam, you have a new face! :D definately worth the money.

I've basically always had acne since about age 12 (and I'm 25 now) and although it's not as bad now as when I was younger, I still get some occasional breakouts on my nose or chin. I used to use Proactiv in high school, but it more or less stopped working after a while, so I started using AcneFree, which has been working pretty well for the last few years. I've really wanted to switch to something more natural for a while now, so when my friend let me use her stash of Herbalism while she was in town, I was ecstatic. I can't say that it has completely cleared up my skin, as I still get a random pimple every now and then, but it has made the skin on my face feel smoother and healthier overall, and I've been using it for about a month now.

I know some people don't like the smell of Herbalism and I wasn't sure about it at fist myself -- it is pretty pungently, well, herbal -- but I've grown to love it! Much better than the chemical scent of my old acne cleansers. And when the product description says it's exfoliating, that seems like a bit of a stretch for me; it isn't completely smooth, so it likely does exfoliate to a certain degree, but it's quite gentle (which is probably wonderful for anyone with more sensitive skin than mine). I'm considering adding Dark Angels to my routine once or twice a week for a better exfoliation.

Like all of Lush's products, Herbalism works great on blemishes without being harsh. It makes my skin feel soft and clean. The rice makes it a very gentle exfoliator. I grab a small amount and add a very tiny bit of water. Too much water and it will get too runny. Too little water and it's too dry and will all end up in the sink. It does take a few tries to get the right ratio, but once you do, it's perfect! I really like the earthy smell and I look forward to using it every night!

I bought this because I thought it would be a more exfoliating cleanser than Angels on Bare Skin without losing the gentle factor (I have combination skin that's also pretty sensitive). It's still gentle, and more moisturizing without being greasy, which is definitely awesome, but the smell is a bit off-putting and although it's made the drier parts of my skin quite nice it's not doing much for the oilier bits. I'm definitely going to use the rest of the container, but I think I'll go back to Angels or try something else after it's done.

I love Herbalism. I was introduced to this product in 2007 and have been using it ever since. I love the way it smells and how I can get a little exfoliation going on my face without feeling like I'm tearing up my skin. It leaves my skin super soft, feeling cleansed without drying it out (and smelling great.) I hate that with all other products I've used before you can smell the chemicals in it and God forbid you get some in your mouth, YUCK! I swear I don't eat the herbalism, but once or twice I've gotten some in my mouth and it isn't gag inducing lol, it's kinda tasty! I recommend this product to all my friends, especially those with oily, acne prone skin! TRY IT! You'll love it!

I don't know I really wish Herbalism worked for me. I have acne-proned, oily skin and this really made my skin smooth, soft and oil free. I had these tiny white bumps (possibly white heads) deep under my skin on my chin and around my mouth. I was looking for a product to bring those to the surface and clear them. After using this Herbalism for little over a week, my chin area was covered in new huge pimples, where the tiny bumps were. Mind you guys that I have generally clear skin every where else but my chin, so using Herbalism everywhere else made my skin soft, glowing, and smooth. However my chin area got significantly worse and didn't seem to get ANY better after each use, so I stopped using Herbalism all together. I switched back to my other cleanser and my chin immediately looked better the next day. I feel that if a product makes you breakout and doesn't improve the breakouts over the past 2 or 3 days, you should stop using it before your skin gets worse. I still have a significant amount of Herbalism left so I might attempt using it again, possibly once a week because it made the rest of my skin look so great and oil free...but I'm scared for my problem chin area.

I was soo excited to try Herbalism because I have moderately oily skin toward the end of the day. Immediately I did not like the smell of it. It smelled really strong like vinegar. It is a very effective cleanser but I would only use it every 2 or 3 day because it makes my skin a little dry. It does however, take off most of the oil on my skin. I have used it for about a week now and the smell has stared to grow on me a little bit. I would give this product a 5 stars but I docked one just because of the strange smell. This is definitly a product you must try if you like a natural and effective cleanser.

I love lush. I barely found lush over the summer, and I wish I found it sooner. I used to love bath and body works but when i went to lush everyone was nice and super helpfull. I like that you can get this much of what you want. So, Herbalism, this product changed my skin, it brought my break out down SO fast. Alot of people say that it smells bad but i live in a mexcian family and i'll rather smell herbalism than smell garlic or onions. So bottom line if you have oily skin give it a try.

I just received my very first shipment of Lush products, and my first experience with this facial cleanser did not go very well. I followed the package instructions. It just made a big mess, smelled bad, and in the end, my face didn't feel clean. It felt kind of oily and just ick. My second use, I wet my face first, pinched off a bit of product and just mushed it into my fingers and then spread it on my face. I also added a bit of sea salt (I keep it on hand for my own use as a scrub!) and immediately liked the difference. The sea salt gave it a much better smell for some reason, AND made it much more "scrubby" in my opinion. After I rinse my improvised mix, I follow with CoalFace soap to get rid of the residue feeling. I spritz with Tea Tree Water, and my own personal fave moisturizer. I don't think I'll buy this one again because of the residue. Just my personal thing though.

I got this yesterday and tried it this morning. I've only used it once, but I already love it. I don't notice the smell at all and for the first time, I don't feel like I had to slather on the moisturizing lotion after using it. I will defintely buy this again.

I'm a sucker for different and unique products and Herbalism is definitely both of those things. It smells like vinegar, but I don't mind it because it is so lovely for my face. It gets messy, but nothing that is unmanagable or cumbersome to clean up; just a quick wipe of the sink and it's gone. I am deployed to the desert and my face is suffering terribly for it because of how sweaty and dirty I always am. The redness from breakouts is decreasing and I'm no longer getting new pimples everyday. Also, the blackheads that i have had on my nose FOREVER are almost completely gone! This is a great product and I use it with Grease Lightning, Tea Tree Water, and Vanishing Cream.

I use this mixed with the Dark Angels scrub for some exfoliation. I'm very pleased with the result I've gotten with this product! I have mild acne, and I've had wonderfully clear skin since I started using it. I live in a very dry climate, so moisture is key, and this gives me plenty of hydration without a greasy feeling. I've been using it a couple of times a week in the shower, since it can be a little messy.

I love love love herbalism. I have literally tried everything under the sun for my breakout prone face. This is truly a dream come true. While I've only been using this with Grease Lightning for a week and it hasn't COMPLETELY cleared up my face, it has made a HUGE difference and my skin feels silky smooth afterwards. It also smells amazing.
