I absolutely love this cleanser!! My only qualm is that it's messy when used out of the shower (because who cares how messy it is in the shower!!:) ). I use this at night to take off my make up (after I use a eye make up remover), and it's a little crumbly and can get outside of the sink on the vanity. However, with what this has done for my skin I don't think of it as an issue. This has enough 'grit' to it that it really cleanses, but not enough for it be abrasive and bother my sensitive skin. I also tend to break out a lot and this calms my skin. I love the fact that after using this there is no residue and my skin feels fresh and clean. I'm on my ???? refill of this, can't live without it.

I was on the fence about this product. About half the reviews talked about the awful odor because of the vinegar and I will be honest, that put me off. So on my pilgrimage to the store I was determied to smell this concoction and see if it would even be tolerable enough to give it a chance.

I was very plesantly surprised. Yes, it smells very strongly of vinegar, but salad vinegar as opposed to the cleaning variety so that is a plus. And the herbal infusion there gave it a lovely chlorophyll green smell. Also, the scent out of the pot isn't nearly as strong as it is in, and it doesn't linger on the skin at all. Added bonus- the scent grew on me, so now I actually enjoy the wash.

And now the really important part, the use. Lets just say if Lush ever stops making this I may have to raid their factory for the recipie. It exfoliates the skin ever so gently, I honestly didn't notice until after a couple days and my skin was super smooth and soft. Then two to three days later, my skin was clearer than it has been since I was a child. No blocked pores, no acne, no underskin bumpy bits, and nothing came up in the next few weeks. That was the bit that shocked me most. Any new product I've used tends to bring the problem to the surface and then clears it up. This one just erased the imperfections and made my skin better than before.

after reading reviews i wasnt 100% on buying this, but bought it anyway and im super glad i did. i have acne-prone skin, i take medications & prescribed pills from a dermatologist and this product helped clear up my skin better than any medications ever did. i saw some reviews saying the product was too gentle, but i liked that about it. i use it as a daily facial cleanser in the morning, it helps wake me up and it doesnt irritate my skin at all. im not to keen on the smell of it, but after using it every day ive just gotten used to it. definitely making a repurchase

I just have to say that I have tried every product under the sun to help clear up my acne, Iv even bought really expensive spa products to help and nothing seemed to work. I am a huge LUSH fan but I have never tried any of their face products, so to try I grabbed Herbalism. While I was using this product my face felt so clean, I had a no residue feel to me skin, I combined Coal Face as well as Breath Of Fresh Air for a new skin care routine, My acne instantly cleared up I was shocked! Never have I ever had my face react to such an amazing product! I am forever sticking with LUSH for my skin needs. I'm telling you this product works you will be surprised if you purchase this product, like I said Iv tried everything, and this did the job I have no complaints!

Wow, Wow, Wow, and again wow! I was about to throw the towel in on the battle with my acne but I found this amazing stuff and now my face is clear and has a great even texture. If you have acne or oily proned skin and are tired of getting NOWHERE with benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, look no further.

I never write reveiws but this product is amazing!! I have tried multiple products to clear up my forehead and chin because of those darn things called hormones. I'm 25 years old and have never really had a problem with acne until I turned 24. I myself work at a skin and cosmetic store and have tried everything they could offer. Nothing works as well as Herbalism. It leaves my face feeling fresh and clean and I haven't had a pimple in 2 weeks!!It also has cleared up most of my blackheads. If anyone has a problem with acne and has tried everything, this is the product to try. You will not regret it!!

I use this cleanser morning and night. It is a great effective and gentle daily cleanser. I personally love the smell and can't get enough, it's very natural and earthy to me. I take a small chickpee sized chunk in my palm, add a couple drops of water, and rub it until it becomes a paste.

My skin: I have combination skin, very oily on my forehead, dry around my mouth, I break out horribly near my chin (normally during my period). The lush employees informed me that the first week or so of using Herbalism I might break out more than usual (which I know happens with most new cleansers) because my skin will purge all of the impurities. I definitely broke out like normal during my period and blackheads seemed to be more apparent. However, my skin feels very clean, less greasy, and has a better glow to it. I'm hoping the purging of impurities ends soon and my skin adjusts. If not, this cleanser is still better than anything else I have bought in a store. I have even used proactiv and I love herbalism so much more.

I suffer from really oily skin and not only that cystic acne as well just for reference . I've been using this product for about a month with my clarisonic and I've seen a major improvement ! I am not completely clear but it's definately worth a try.

I have cystic acne, not a lot, but when i get them, they're very painful. I have tried all the good stuff all to just waste my hard earned money.

Trust me go to lush, invest in your face and use all natural products when you can. herbalism is amazing! and it is just one of the amazing products from this company.

it does smell a bit weird but i don't dwell on that because of the amazing effects and how soft my face is afterwards. i am so sad it took me this long to find lush!

I began using Herbalism about five months ago completely on a whim after trying literally EVERYTHING from my dermatologist to over the counter face washes. I was at first using this every morning and night in combination with creams prescribed by my dermatologist and was seeing results, but not to the point I had hoped.

I decided to try samples of Grease Lightening and Vanishing Cream (dropping anything prescribed by my doctor) and have to say that my skin has COMPLETELY changed. I use an alcohol-free toner after washing morning and night with Herbalism and use Vanishing Cream in the morning before my makeup and Grease Lightening at night before going to bed.

I have had awful acne since I was about 12 and now at 20 I can finally say I have found the perfect combination of products to give me flawless skin. Thank you for changing my life, Lush!

I love this cleanser. My skin is oily, acne-prone, and sensitive. Traditional salicylic acid washes didn't help at all and actually sometimes made things worse. Switching from that to a basic exfoliating scrub and a tea-tree containing moisturizer helped, but Herbalism is even better than that basic scrub. It's not too drying, my skin feels clean and refreshed, and the redness across my nose and cheeks is noticeably reduced.

I like to apply it to my face and let it sit for a couple of minutes before washing it off for a gentle mask effect when my breakouts are worse.

This is my first review on a product EVER! I'm overwhelmed by the transformation it gave my skin and my life! So much I want to write, but long story short. Im 25, come from mexican heritage. Oily ACNE ACNE ACNE skin scars; the works! I was using other products i purchased at the department store that actually help a little but not enough to help me get actually go out and socialize. Until I curiously walked in to lush to get this recommended, and given the price I was paying for the other stuff. this was a steal. My face is 100% clear!!! not one zit in site.. I wasn't sure about it since I did see some reviews saying it smelt bad. But I figured everyone's senses are different and tried it anyways. I got the small bottle, and was a bit confused of how to use it at first, but figured it out quite quick. I find it easier to use at the sink than in the shower because you don't want any water in the tub itself. But I seriously love this product. The scent I think comes with the name HERBALISM, so if you don't like herby or earthy scents, this one isn't for you. Yet, it gave me an exfoliated face feel, and my face feels brand new every time i use it. I follow up with my 9 to 5 from LUSH and a moisturizer and my face feels awesome!

Wow! This cleanser is AMAZING!!! I recently got off a dermatatologist prescriped medication that I have been using for two years. The medicine worked great, but I didn't want to have to rely on this medication forever, plus it was expensive. I went into Lush to get a friend a gift, and I walked out with this cleanser. It has seriously been the best purchase of my life! Using this cleanser, my skin is so much cleaner, softer, and FREE of breakouts. I use this daily even though it is exfoliating, but I feel it is gentle enough to use everyday. I have VERY oily skin and have tried everything to combat my oil. I would go through several blotting sheets a day to try and maintain my oil. Using this cleanser, my face is so much less oily. I couldn't believe it. My makesup looks so much nicer on my face because I have an amazing surface to work with. Herbalism is a holy grail product that I will continue to use. Amazing!!!

Okay, let me start with this.
I have VERY oily, sensitive, severe acne prone skin. I hate myself, and I always hide behind my long hair.
Since I used Herbalism, acne on my cheeks has CLEARED UP and literally, it feels like a smooth paper. I am in LOVE with Herbalism - the best product yet. The other acne medications/products I have used either did not work or made it worse. I'm talking about over the counter, brand name, antibiotics, etc.
I can feel Herbalism work around my face slowly but efficiently. I think I'm in love.

I went to the store with my dad to pick out some stuff I wanted to try out (as a 16th birthday present) and after reading reviews online, I was torn between Angels on Bare Skin and Herbalism. I talked to the lady at the store and told her about my typical teenage skin (oily and acne prone) and how I didn't know which one to try out and she recommended Herbalism because Angels on Bare Skin is more of a general cleanser while Herbalism is more for people with oily skin, so I picked that up along with the Tea Tree Water toner and a sample of Grease Lightning.

So what I do is wash my face with warm water and apply herbalism as more of a paste (beware, a little water goes a long way with this, if you use too much, it becomes runny and drips through your fingers) and after washing off with warm water, your skin feels very soft and smooth. After this I apply 2 sprays of my Tea Tree Water toner and a little bit of my sample of grease lightning. I wanted to get a sample based on the mixed reviews and a little does go a long way with this product as well.

I love how soft and clean it makes your skin feel, even after the first use! I will definitely keep using this product as part of my skin care routine in the future!!!

I'm 30something. I never had acne until my late twenties when I had my 1st child. My youngest is now 3.5, but I still have acne. I've tried everything to get rid of it.

I received Herbalism as a gift, and it was honestly my favorite gift. It makes my skin glow like no other. After using it my skin feels soft and super smooth. After using everyday for about a week, I can honestly say that my skin was immaculate. I've never had much acne at all, but I do usually have one/two pimples at a time. After using this product for a week, no pimples whatsoever. I have gotten a few blemishes since using (fyi I don't use it everyday), but herbalism has really improved my skin. I also really like the way this cleaner smells, very natural. And can I just say, yes, this product is expensive. But boy does it last you! I have the larger 8.8 oz. jar for almost 8 months and I have a good quarter of the jar left even when I use a generous amount every other day or so. This product, for me, was definitely worth it and I WILL be buying again when I run out.
