This is the first LUSH product I purchased, and I'm glad I bought this. It's so creamy, it smells like English toffee and honey. It lathers well, and slides on without any skids or anything. I wish it would last longer, I can feel it melting in my hands. Nonetheless, I WILL buy this again, and keep buying it until they discontinue it (please don't let it happen)

I received a bar of this soap for Christmas and I've got to say that I absolutely loved it....that was until I read the ingredients. Sodium lauryl sulfate is an inexpensive detergent used in cosmetic cleaners, shampoos, bath and shower gels, etc. It is used throughout the world for clinical testing as a primary skin irritant. Laboratories use SLS to irritate skin on test animals and humans so that they may then test healing agents to see how effective they are on the irritated skin.In the cleaning industry SLS is used in garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers, car-wash soaps, etc. It is very corrosive and readily attacks greasy surfaces.SLS dries skin by stripping the protective lipids from the surface so it can't effectively regulate moisture.I will only use this product on my hands. The smell is amazing and I love the idea of the honey comb. I really wanted to love this product, however, I prefer a safe product without harmful ingredients.If you are looking for a true natural product, this is not the one for you.

This soap smells so nice! It's a wonderful, warm, happy and comforting scent to me. Smells of sweet honey toffee/carmel candy.
I will say that it did leave my skin with that uncomfortable "squeaky-clean" feeling. Cleans very thoroughly, but almost dries me out. However, I do have year-round dry skin, and I have only used this soap twice, though, so maybe it's just me!
All in all, I would recommend that you try a slice of Honey, I Washed the Kids and see for yourself! :)

Let me just start by saying, I really do use this to wash my kids! Both of my girls have wicked dry skin, and this soap alleviates any feeling of dryness without the need to slather them in lotion afterwards. Plus, the smell, oh holiness! Awesome, awesome, awesome! We love this stuff so much in my family that I buy it at least 2 a month. Definitely recommend to anyone, young or old!

Ahh Honey I Washed the Kids...forget the kids, I wash me! If you can't get to a store to smell this wonderful little creation, it smells like caramel honey and a touch of toffee, almost like a very mild honeysuckle. Very sweet, but not overpowering in the shower. It was a little overwhelming as the straight soap, but I am dearly in love with the smell it leaves on your skin. I shower at night, and kept getting little wiffs of honey-toffee goodness the next day.
It goes on silky smooth and while I'm not entirely sure that the purpose of the honeycomb bit is to act as an exfoliant, I've been using it as such. immediatly after rinsing my skin feels a little tight and stripped, but I think that is just how my skin reacts to soap because about a minute later I'm all kinds of soft and smooth. I don't even need to use lotion after. Oh, and the smell is slightly sexy, great for date night when you don't want to go too crazy. Will this be a staple in my shower? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

I know this soap has a cult following and I dove in head first and bought it online because of all the rave reviews. When I received it, I smelled it and nearly gagged! I can definitely smell the honey which has a nice and pure scent, but there is an overwhelming awful odor accompanying it that I can't put my finger on. I'm convinced that my opinion is isolated because everyone around me was salivating when they caught a whiff!
I used it in the shower once and it made my skin feel tight and dry so I ended up cutting it in half and giving it away. I'm really disappointed that I didn't like this soap!

I absolutely love this! I think it smells delicious and you feel clean after use without excess drying! I have psoriasis therefore i have to be extremely careful what type of soap i use so avoid irritation. This has never cause irritation on my skin, in fact, my skin seems less irritated since i have been using this product. I also use this on my 4 year old son! He loves it too!! :)

I loved this soap, I didn't know if I would like it so I got a tiny peice and it lasts! I am going to get more but when I used it the smell went away right when I stepped out of the bath. I found this while sniffing around the Lush shop during one visit, and decided to give it a try. For someone with such sensitive skin, washing my hands is NOT an enjoyable experience. However, Honey I Washed the Kids is EXTREMELY moisturizing for a hand soap, and my roommates also loved the smell! I tried using this as a body soap, but it was a bit drying for my overall skin. When I discovered that It's Raining Men has the same scent, I decided to try that, and found an automatic Lush favorite! The only con I can think of is that it left a bit of a residue in my sink...
