I have to admit I like the lip balm in of it's self, it feels great on the lips! However I really didn't think that it would have such an over-overpoweringly sweet smell. I was expecting it to be sweet but more complex a bit like Honey I Washed the Kids, but it smells a lot more like imitation vanilla extract.

I used this product every day, and although I'm not sure if this is recommended, aside from putting it on my lips, I also put it on my elbows and sometimes the heels of my hands. It can be a little greasy, but honestly... it is the only product I've ever used that has kept my hands and elbows from becoming chapped during winter. I'm a sculptor, so I need something that will sink into my skin fast and not leave residue everywhere if I have to put it on when I'm in the shop. This does the trick!!!

Before buying Honey Trap I was a diehard Burt's Bee's fan. Although I still use Burt's from time to time, Honey Trap is now a staple. However- I always make sure I put this in a pocket that is close to my body. Its hard to emulsify and I hate digging my finger around inside the product just to get it to a consistency where it is smear-able... so, if I keep it in a pants pocket where it is exposed to my body heat, problem solved!!!

I love this lip balm. It smells/tastes really good. My friends and I spent a while trying to figure out the scent/taste on our own, and finally concluded to a honey/peppermint/vanilla combo. I recommend applying after using the Mint Julep lip scrub.

This stuff reminds me of the lip balm we used to make from beeswax at summer camp.

Lasts the night when I put it on before bed, and I'm very happy to have a lip balm that's not petroleum-based.

I just wanted to post a quick note to say that the poster who said that the alcohol in this is drying is wrong. They use cetearyl alcohol in this lip balm, which is an ingredient used in lotions, shampoo and conditioner, and lip balm in order to "stick" the ingredients together and also to create that "emollient" feel that so many notice in their creams and such. It does NOT dry out your skin in any way. It is only an alcohol because of it's chemical composition (it ends in OH), but it's really more of a fatty oil type thing than an alcohol. What the poster is talking about is your general ethanol or isopropyl alcohol that you might find in a toner or use on cuts. That is NOT what is in this lip balm. Don't be fooled!

I use it to keep my lips soft and smooth through out the day of course but I also put it on my eye lids before I put on my eye shadow ! it works better then my expensive eye shadow primers, It lasts all day and makes the color of my eye shadow very pigmented !(:

This balm lasts and lasts! It has saved me from dry, cracked mouth corners. I use this before bed and throughout the day, and it leaves lips soft and plush without the greasy or shiny side effects of conventional petroleum based products.

I have done so much damage to my lips over the years. I have cracked it open, had my front teeth split my lip, and picking. They scarred pretty bad and no matter what I tried, nothing could heal them!

I recently bought Honey Trap cause of the smell, but to my surprise after a few days of applying this little beauty several times a day (because the smell and taste is addicting) I noticed the chappness of my lips going down, and some of the scars faded! It was magic in a little tin!

I am a lip balm collector/lover. I had heard and seen stories and reviews about this product and finally decided to try... I got it today and WOW.. I LOVE this stuff. I absolutely love the smell/taste. I am very picky about the consistency of my balms and I find most natural lip balms to be too light or greasy. Honey trap has the PERFECT consistency! It feels so smooth! Will definitely be looking at the other balms lush offers!

i cannot get enough of this stuff! i just got it yesterday afternoon and fell in love at first use! my lips are prone to drying out and cracking easily....and now my lips are soft, smooth, and moisturized. other balms would work for a short period of time, but i would have to reapply them several times a day....this one i have used only a few times b/c it stays on for a long time. i love the smell, but don't notice a taste at all.

The Honey Trap Lip Balm is fantastic, I use it everyday several times and my lips remain soft and radiant for hours. I use it after sweet lips which when they are paired together is great! But, Honey Trap is amazing, it tastes good smells great and for me it lasts a really long time, and I use it A LOT. This is a go to when I have chapped lips, wind burn, or when I am in the sun and need some protection. I reccommend this to everyone!, and it deserves it, it is so simple but it works amazing and for how long it lasts it really isn't a bad price!

I absolutely love this product. I've been searching for YEARS for the perfect lip balm to soothe my dry, peeling, and sometimes painful lips, and I am so thrilled I found this product. Granted, it's not the most long lasting balm I've ever used, but I love the smell and feel of it so much that I don't mind reapplying a little more than usual. It has a mildly fresh, almost sweet taste to it, which is subtle and goes away after a few minutes and also leaves a slight, pleasant tingle on your lips. The smell is wonderful and not overpowering in the slightest which is a must for me in a lip balm, and is something my boyfriend appreciates as well.
I've read a few reviews about how the product is a little tough to get out, but I've learned that if you keep it in your pocket instead of your purse, your body heats it up to the perfect consistency so it just glides right on!
Honey Trap leaves your lips feeling plump, moisturized, and fresh, and is a wonderful base for a lip stick or gloss, or to wear by itself. Seriously have no complaints about this product and will now be using it for life!

I have lips that depend on the use of lip balm daily. They become dry and sometimes chapped if I do not reapply lip balm throughout the day. I have tried, and not to mention spent lots of money, on drug store products that do not work. They left my lips feeling too greasy and even more dry. Anyway, my friend had told me about lush and I immediately went to look at the lip balm. I chose honey trap because I thought it smelled great. I use it daily and multiple times throughout the day.I apply it to bare lips or sometimes I mix it with some colored lip gloss and it really helps to give my lips a nice subtle shine, while moisturizing them. After using this product for a few weeks I have noticed that I have become less dependent on it. My lips no longer feel as dry anymore, which is awesome! The only negative aspect of this product is that it is hard to apply. I need to rub my finger into the tin and apply several times before getting a decent amount onto my lips. I found blowing into the tin helps, however this is just a slight con and not something that will hold me back from buying this product again. I carry it with me everywhere I go and therefore I definitely recommend it.

I really like the fact that this lip balm isn't too in the way. Other products I've used are too liquidy and get on my face, or are shiny or tinted, but this goes where I want it and stays there without really being distracting - I can wear it to work without worrying that I look too ridiuculously made up, but I still get my lip balm action on.
The only downside is the consistency - at room temperature I find it to be pretty solid, so I have to work to get it warm enough to use. I've found its just warm enough if I carry it in my pants pocket though, so it's not too much of a hassle.
Love the smell - I love getting out of the shower and using this and Mange Too together, it makes me feel like I just smell DELICIOUS.

Love this lip balm! I started using this (along with the Mint Julips lip scrub) and my lips are in wonderful condition now! I put it on at night and my lips feel so moistruized compared to other brands that I've used for the same purpose. I don't think its all that hard to apply either.

I am sure this is a good product, as all the other Lush lip products are amazing, but I just can't use this. The smell is overpowering and sickeningly sweet. After wearing this for about 10 minutes, I had to wash my lips and use something else. I don't think I can ever eat honey products again. Ick.

I didn't smell it in the store because of all the amazing reviews, I wish I would have! It smells very strongly like baby powder, which does not work well with perfume. I'll put it on and people will ask why I reek of baby powder. It's a odd Chapstick smell and I'm sad it didn't work

I am a new LUSH shopper, and this is probably my favourite product so far in terms of effectiveness!

The first day I got it I could not stop putting it on! It smells so good and moisturizes better than any lip balm I have used. I used it after using the Mint Juleps lip scrub and my lips stayed soft for hours.

My only wish was that it was easier to apply. A couple times I have rubbed it right onto my lips from the tin because using your finger, you have to rub it in the product for quite a while to get a good amount on your finger and then I still had to reapply a few times to get enough on my lips. Overall though, love it!

Like the heading said, I REALLY wanted to like this lip balm. It smells amazing. Everyone I know who's used it has loved it. But...

It's difficult to get out of the pot and it doesn't spread very easily across my lips. I have to blow hot air from my mouth onto the pot before being able to get any onto my finger to spread. Then when I've finally gotten enough of the balm onto my mouth, it doesn't last long and it doesn't help keep my lips smooth.

This is the second Lush lip balm that I've tried. I was unhappy with the first one I tried (Lip Service) but figured I'd give their balms another shot before I gave up on them completely. I have to say, I am SOOOOO glad I tried the Honey Trap because it is awesome! It smells absolutely amazing (I think so anyways!), is very hydrating and soothing, and once applied it really lasts on your lips. I like to exfoliate my lips using a sugar scrub and/or a small loofah pad and then apply the Honey Trap afterwards. I also put a thick layer on before going to bed- when I wake up in the morning, it's still on and my lips are soft and smooth. Totally recommended, please don't ever discontinue this stuff!!!
