I ordered a bunch of Retro, and they sent me a sliver of honey waffle as a tester and i immediately fell in love!

This is my favorite soap of all time, i literally want everything with this scent. It reminds me of eating breakfast with jasmine flowers around me. great for the mornings, it wakes you up gently so you can really enjoy your shower or bath.

Only negative is im not too fond of the squeaky clean feeling of soap, so i have to use extra lotion after i wash, or Rose argon which smells AMAZING with it as well. I am completely obsessed with honey waffle. if i could by a whole block, I would

I was pleased to receive a sample of this soap with my online order, since I'd never tried it before. But when I unwrapped the cellophane - oh man! It smelled like a cough drop - very artificial and medicine-y. It is also very, very strong - that little sample size piece is sitting on my sink, and I can smell it from outside the bathroom. I still gave it a try when I next washed my hands and I will say it moisturized my dry winter skin. The scent on my hands is more subtle. It does smell more like cup of tea with honey and lemon on my skin, so if you like that smell you might like the soap. It's not my thing though, and other Lush soaps moisturize just as well. Not one I would purchase.

I love how moisturizing this product is to my skin. I don't necessarily have a dry skin problem but in the winter and sometimes in the spring I get patches of dry skin. This soap really helps. The smell however is absolutely appalling. Smells nothing like honey. Once you use it a few times you get used to it, and the positive outweighs the negative in my opinion. Definitely wish they'd make it smell more like honey.

I originally got Honey Waffle as a sample with some products I ordered online, and I was running out of Porridge, so I ordered some Honey Waffle. I've only had it for about a week now and I really like it. I like that it is more lathery and soapish than Porridge. It has a sweet but very light smell. One aspect of it I can't explain, but I like is it is moisturizing, and you feel mousturized after the shower, but it feels like the surface of your skin is dry, not dried out, just dry. It feels like the water rolls off and you don't need to dry.I still do of course, but it's a very interesting experince. It has done very well at helping with the acney on the backs of my shoulders as well.

This product works okay as a soap but the smell is just awful. I don't smell honey in it at all, just this melted plastic smell. I'm happy that I just got this as a sample in one of my orders because I would have been really upset if I had actually spent money on it.

I was really excited to get my first order, and Honey Waffle was in it. Unfortunately I was looking for a soap that smelled more like honey, my particular soap has very strong floral smells. The other problem is that once I've rinsed it off, it is very drying on the skin.
I probably would not buy it again or recommend it, but if you're one who likes to give things a shot, try it out.

First off, I got this as a sample. When I first smelled this, I thought it was a bit caramel/vanilla-ey honey and I expected the scent to smell less strong once it was on my skin. When I used it, it lathered into a creamy yellow foam and it felt really moisturizing, and the smell on my hands was just as strong as it was in the bar once I'd dried them. My problem with this is that once my hands dried completely when I left the bathroom, they were visibly dry, like there was a flaky white layer on the backs of my hands. I put on moisturizer and went to bed, only to find puffy, itchy, red hives all over my hands the next morning. I have no idea what I could be allergic to in the ingredients, I've used SLS-containing-products before without any problems. Final verdict: it smells nice, it lathers nicely, but its really drying and I'm allergic to something in it :(

This smells nothing like "authentic honeycomb." It smells like you squashed a bunch of beetles and mixed them with licorice. Disgusting. I opened the box and was greeted with a horrible, offensive scent. Lo and behold, it was this soap. I wish I could return it.

The soap itself was nice, it cleaned well enough and I liked the scent. It was sweet like honey, which is what I would expect given the name and ingredients. It does have a strange imprint/coating on one end of the soap that is supposed to resemble honeycomb, but it never dissolved. I found it awkward to use to avoid that end and once the soap was getting smaller, that edge that stayed the same size began to scratch. I finally cut it off with a knife. Overall it was nice but not my favorite.

I, like some others, also received this as a sample. I was so excited because I love all the honey products LUSH has, but I can see why this was taken out and subsequently put into Retro. IMO, leave it out of everything. I get that it's a more 'authentic' honeycomb smell, but that's not always the most pleasant scent. Something about this soap made me cringe immediately, though I couldn't pinpoint the exact fragrance note that was throwing it off. I had to crack-up, though, after seeing so many people had received it as a sample, I, too, began to think, "is LUSH just trying to get rid of all of it?" haha!

I got this soap as a sample from lush and I used it once to wash my hand. The scent does linger, too bad I find the scent unapealing. It was absolutely disgusting and I was trying everything I could to get it off of me.

This product did melt in trasit so I would be careful if you actually like it.

I got this as a sample and i do not like it. To me it smells like black licorice which i cant stand the smell. will not use this product but thank you lush for sending me samples

wow. This product was a HUGE disapointment! I can honestly say that I have never had a lush product I disliked until now. I could not even use it because it actually made me sick as soon as I opened the box. I expected the smell to be more like honey I washed the kids but this is just awful. I cant even put into words how nasty this soap is.

Long ago, I got a sample of this with an order and fell in love instantly. It's definitely not a Honey I Washed The Kids type of scent. It's a barely sweet, woody, herbal honey scent. If that sounds like your kind of thing, definitely give it a try.

I really don't understand the negative reviews as this is my all time favorite Lush soap. Unlike the cloying sweetness of some honey soaps, Honey Waffle has a spicy scent that nicely compliments the true honey smell of the soap. If you like spicy scents or real honey, try this soap. Also, put the (wrapped) soap in your linen closet and it will give your sheets the fabulous Honey Waffle scent.

It smelled like legit pee and I wish it was better because I love Lush! I got it as a sample and I think that they were just trying to get rid of it all because the people at Lush can't stand the smell either haha
